    "The staff at the Fife Lodge Hotel were extremely helpful and willing to go that extra mile for you. We were visiting the area because my husbands mother was born in Banff and we were looking for family graves and where she used to live and the staff were happy to ring around for us to try and help. The food was excellent and the room was clean and well presented. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. " (107696351)

    Food was excellent as were the staff.

    Shower could have been a little more powerful.

    Comfortable stay overall

    Disappointed in evening meals in the restaurant. Over priced and no!vegetables on menu

    The atmosphere in the hotel was friendly without being too intrusive. The history of the hotel was interesting from a tourist viewpoint. General decor was suitable for the period when the house was built.

    The room was far too small to accommodate a double en suite facility for the price being charged. Would have expected more.

    The hotel was very nice and the food was outstanding.

    There was no heating on in the rooms during the daytime which made it cold.

    "The hotel is in a smashing setting, just on edge of town, with nice grounds surrounding the building. The rooms are generously furnished,(at least mine was) and it all seemed to match, unusual for an older style hotel. Although my room was a double, it was a bit smaller than anticipated but nevertheless adequate for my needs. Small bathroom with no electric shaver point (as pointed out above) I was lucky I carry an adaptor with me. As a business traveller I don't look for entertainment, so it didn't bother me that there was none, but the hotel has a large function/club roon that hosts club nights and live music (mostly at weekends) so if you are staying for leisure, phone them to see if there is anything on during your stay. The food on offer is excellent, with a very reasonable menu on offer, without being too fancy or wide-ranging. Good value too, compared to other hotels I 've stayed in. Their restaurant service is good and so is their bar meals service - could be a little quicker on the bar service though, but the girls are only a step away for service. All in all, a really nice place to stay for leisure or business where old fashioned service values seem to be at the forefront of the hotel owners' approach." (97292001)

    Comfort,friendliness and service - food was excellent

    No standard electric shaver point in bathroom - a bit odd since there was a backlit mirror in place but no shaver point!!!

    "very nice traditional accomodation. whilst tv stations were limited, there was good wi-fi internet access from my room, although i stress it was only on for 5 minutes, whilst i completed my work reports. good restaurant area, and accomodated a 7am breakfast, because they normally serve at 7.30am, which is a little late for business travellers."     "Our accommodation (a modern bungalow in the grounds of the hotel) was unexpected but very good nonetheless. We were attending a wedding at the hotel (which was excellent) and decided to make a short break of it. We opted for a bar supper, a very generous serving of very fresh fish, nicely cooked to order. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were typically Scottish, well cooked and delicious." (3304292823)

    Clean, spacious, warm - we were given 'the bungalow' to stay in, which was a modern, 4 bedroom bungalow with excellent facilities

    "I have stayed at the hotel before and I find that the staff are friendly. You get the feel of staying at a country lodge. You can take your meal in the restaurant or in the cosy bar. There is a varied menu and the food is good although not special. I don't like to see carpeting in the bathroom area." (3304421024)

    "The overall cleaniness of the hotel and we enjoyed the breakfasts and location are the reason was didnt complain about anything" (2565166)

    Wallpaper starting to peel on ceiling, plumping noisy when guest in next room filled and empty bath, very poor water pressure in shower, the materess uncomfortable.

    Arrived early, reception very helpful, Bar & dining room staff very pleasant without being too formal or too familiar. Prices reasonable and food well cooked and served hot. Only complaint portions overgenerous! no mercy on our waistlines!!.
