    Very friendly staff, at reception and during breakfast. Very clean and comfortable room, although the 'standard double' was a little on the small side. Excellent standard of decor throughout the hotel. Very quiet, no disturbance at all during my five nights.

    Breakfast starts at 7.30, which is a little late for anyone there on business.

    Zona Tranquilla anche di notte, camere grandi e spaziose arredate in stile coloniale, ben rifinite, albergo pulito, personale gentile e colazione abbondante. Considerando che è a Notting Hill, OTTIMO RAPPORTO QUALITA' PREZZO!

    Se vogliamo considerarlo negativo, ci voglion 5 minuti a piedi ad arrivare alla metropolitana e il riscaldamento nella camere in inverno è abbastanza alto...ma sinceramente, è roba da ridere!

    Well presented throughout, including the outside of the hotel which was very welcoming. Having stayed at other small hotels in the west of london previously I was happily surprised to find a nice clean, if compact, room with an above average sized bathroom and powerful shower. The shower did take a few moments to work out how to work.

    Not the hotels fault but it was hard to find as the road layout is not obvious in that it is not on a traditional square.

    "An excellent hotel, I have no complaints what so ever. The hotel upgraded our room due to being Mother, Daughter time, without asking. The hotel was clean, friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. I cannot undertand why some of the reviews have been negative, as I felt this was excellent value for the money and the hotel staff could not do enough for you. I would reconmend to anyone, and intend to stay there again some time soon. " (108883341)

    Hotel spotless, and well amintained. Breakfast was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. Room clean and modern with good facilities.

    The hotel is newly remodeled and very pretty--nice bathroom, rooms well decorated. It is in a beautiful part of London--and about a 15 minute walk from Paddington and Notting Hill underground stations. Good pub and restaurants 1 minute away. The front desk staff was excellent.

    The rooms are small and there is no air conditioning.

    The free internet usage (when there was no problem with the line) is a really good thing, good location, the breakfast, the cleaning of bathroom.

    Slow lift, no fridge in the room (a small one would be nice), no bath curtain, at the higher floors the flash of the toilet is not really good, u need to use it for 3-4 times to get the need result, thin walls, cleaning only until two o'clock, the breakfast would be nice if it would start at 7.00 a.m

    Location excellent, clean

    Room tiny, no lamps - only harsh overhead lighting, no chair. breakfast very poor - tea and coffee undrinkable, cold toast.

    The staff gave us very good service.The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was beautiful, a lot of hot wather. The there was a lift in the hotel. We had a wonderful stay at your hotel.

    "Would have liked to know in advance that the breakfast room was undergoing major changes and that guests would be required to take breakfast in a very small room. Nevertheless breakfast was tasty and ample. Staff were always professional while some guests were irritated by the small area made available while the actual facility was upgraded.     Very friendly and professional staff who were always approachable. Room smallish but beds very comfortable and bathroom with ample space. Hotel room and bathroom appeared newly decorated. Overall, our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. If we have an opportunity to return to London, we shall stay in the New Linden again.

    The location of the hotel. The view.

    The size of the room, and the bathroom which was far too small. It was really a view with a room, rather than the other way around. Derisory cupboard space, really insufficient for 2 people with clothing we brought plus shopping acquisitions for 5 nights. Can only get out of the bed one side.

    "First night was appalling. Room 17 was old, dinjy and dirty. Cracked tiles, old mattresses, dirty old carpet. The only reason I was moved the next night was because I insisted my asthma couldn't cope. New room was very attractive but the walls are very thin. The door that joined to the room next door (locked of course) allowed for all noise to travel through. Without going into too much detail, I heard everything the young couple next door were doing!"     Newly refurbished room - although very thin walls and other guests could be heard through them (if you know what I mean!)

    Sound proofing rooms - clean rooms well that aren't upgraded yet. It seemed the cleaning was only done in newly refurbished rooms.

    Thw Tv in the room is only viewable by standing on the bed. It would be easier to watch if it was moved.
