    Owner/Manager always friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Plenty of safe parking. Easy access to town.

    Radiator in room wouldnt switch off, only when presumably the heating went off everywhere during the night, making the room hot. Toilet door doesnt shut properly, already like this previously!

    Excellent personal service.

    one small piece of soap travelled between was handbasin and shower, which were in separate small ensute rooms. Extra soap and shower gel turned up on third day.

    If I was to be extremely picky, the bathroom mirror light didnt work which annoyed the girlfriend when sorting her hair/makeup

    nice friendly helpful staff, reasonable amenities, good price.

    room not sparkling but beds comfy and clean, had to prop window open to let in air as sash window would not hold on its own.

    Very friendly staff. Large secure parking available to rear. Close to town and local shops. Excellent full english breakfast, cooked to order!

    Good clean accommodation would definately go again. Breakfast excellent. Location good for town centre and surrounding area where plenty to see. Nice warm welcome when arrived and very good value for money. Also has the added advantage of being able to book in from 11am.

    Despite advertising restaurant facilities none was available on the evening of the 3rd,which was very disappointing, also breakfast was not available until 8am.

    Friendly, hospitable, inside was clean with a nice atmosphere. Close to several restaurants and pubs and local supermarket.

    Car park was a bit tricky to find. Shame that food was not served in-house.

    friendly, pleasant hotel

    Advertised restaurant not available at the hotel, no choice of evening eating places, fish and chips at tables at rear of chipshop our only option other than indian which is not an option for one of our group.

    Floors creaked somewhat.Sash window would not stay open.No shampoo in bathroom.

    A very friendly & welcoming family run hotel. The room was cleaned daily and the facilities were good.A very reasonably priced hotel in a central position for touring the area. Breakfast was very good although you pay extra.

    A good service , nice poached eggs on toast for breakfast, a good stay with local pubs and shops just around the corner ,a superb overnighter if passing through, free wireless access was great and the hotel was priced at a level that didnt kill your budget.the inside was superbly decorated, warm amd cosy, but especially REALLY Clean , you cant fault this hotel for cleanliness.

    there was not a clear entrance to the hotel at the front of the building,and the car park was hidden around the back with no obvious entry to it !!

    "I was met by the friendly owner, Gurd, and made to feel welcome straight away. He was helpful with information and after the stay returned my wash bag, which I had left behind, immediately. Breakfast was very good value. I would like to have been clear that the restaurant was not open for evening meals, though Gurd was able to recommend a number of eating places locally. I thought the room rate was excellent value for the class of hotel." (97849607)

    The room was comfortable, warm and quiet. Everything worked well, and facilities were what I expected.

    The bed was a bit creaky, and there was no shampoo provided, though these are very minor criticisms.

    The hotel was clean and tidy, the owner was welcoming and friendly - we arrived earlier than expected but it was no problem for him - the rooms were ready. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We were just staying overnight for a nearby wedding, but were very happy - and i think the description of the hotel as basic does not do it justice.

    Nothing - perhaps the absence of an evening meal, but I was invited to eat a takeaway in the dining room if I so wished, along with a glass of wine!
