    Clean room with facilities that offered excellent value for money, friendly staff, great location and ample parking.

    Hotel generally was good, food was excellent, rooms good

    Service at dinner was very poor, not enough staff on to cater for the number of guests. They also seemed to book very one in for the same meal time which did not help.

    clean, nice area, nice building, friendly staff mostly

    the website appeared when I was looking for something close to the train station, so perhaps clearer language would help since it was 26 pounds roundtrip to the station, which is like 75 US dollars for a total of about 10 miles. Either a shuttle or some clarity would have helped us. Also, the website does not indicate, nor did the young man on the phone, that the restaurant is not really a restaurant. We appreciate that the facility has its own chef, but we were tired, in shock over the cost of the taxi, and my husband is a vegetarian, so the limited menu and the unwillingness of the chef to make a salad were frustrating to say the least.Had we known this would be the case, we could have eaten before arriving. When we arrived and were ready to eat, they mentioned having a large party, but there were only 10-14 people total at the hotel. I'm a former restaurant worker, and this seemed silly. Also, we had to ask for more bread, and they initially said no! Really! I ordered crabcakes for 6 pounds, and got one with some greens. So as a current English and Writing professor, I would suggest someone proofread the menu, which listed in the plural. My husband's dinner was hardly sufficient to fill him up as the vegetarian option either. Perhaps the hotel caters to an older clientele who don't eat much and don't mind paying a lot for very limited options. The hotel could stand to invest in new mattresses as well - the springs were poking us. For Americans whose dollar doesn't go far against the pound this is difficult to recommend. 60 pounds is comparable to about 100 or so US dollars (at this writing) and we could get a much nicer experience for that price in the US, Candada, and luxurious accommodations in Mexico.

    "I would say that this hotel was a great place to spend a few evenings in. It is in a good location within the Gower so you could drive and travel around the area very easily. The rooms were of good size and the beds and en suite facilities were to a great standard. The breakfast had variety and was to a high standard and used local produce. The options for staying in for the evening in the bar and having dinner was great value and a very nice option if you don't fancy traveling out for the evening. Overall a very good experience and great value for money." (108687603)

    The Spa and breakfast facilities were excellent and the attitude and professionalism of the staff was fantastic. The room was always clean and the beds were very comfortable.

    The hair drier was old and didn't work particularly well. It would have also been nice to have the option of ordering room service whilst in the room.

    Comfortable and relaxing with great facilities. An opportunity to completely get away with beautiful lush surrounding countryside and a beach a stone throw away. The staff were attentive and the food delicious.

    "When we arrived we thought the hotel was a little smaller than we had imagined but when we went in we were presently surprised. It was like the Tardis from Dr Who, there were lots of extra rooms added everywhere, it was lovely. After a mornings hike along one of the many clifftop walks, we went around the Oxwich area, the spa and pool were very welcoming to soak away our aching legs. A perfect end to a perfect day. The hotel was in a great spot and within easy reach of all the beautiful beaches and lovely walks, also so close to The Mumbles and Swansea city. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The whole weekend was great and the Gower is so beautiful. We will definately be returning soon as we didn't have enough time to explore everywhere." (99084648)

    It was in a quiet and lovely surroundings within easy reach to some gorgeous beaches and The Mumbles. The room was lovely, clean and bright and the staff were very pleasant and helpfull. The spa and pool were a great added attraction and very relaxing. Brilliant.

    The hotel is clean, nicely attired and in a nice location, the rooms are nicely decorated and the pool is great for cooling off. We stayed 3 years ago and came back because we enjoyed it then.

    Lack of staff to answer questions, no response to attention bell, unable to use the new spa and steam room even when we had booked to use it because private treatments were taking place. Also, extremely hot water in shower meant having shower was very difficult and frustrating.

    "On arrival, we were treated very well by younger male members of staff who were well mannered and could not do enough for us. However, towards the end of our stay the manager / owner? who we had not seen until then ( I believe he had been away)was very rude when I mentioned the bath taps in my room not working. He was very abrupt from the outset,it was in the end an apparent mistake on my part although I did dispute that normally taps are not turned 10 times with force before water appears, to which he replied that plumbing was like that in South Wales!!     Plesant site,very friendley.

    Room overlooked a consevatoire which was used one night for a retirement party which went on until well after 1130pm

    Clean, Friendly and Comfortable

    A more varied menu & a cheaper bar. Tea and Coffee should be complimentary.Coffee was not a nice expirience.

    "The fact that this hotel has a swimming pool and gym make it sound like something really special but actually there was a feeling of it being rather 'tacky' and for show. The pool felt very exposed and out of place. The whole hotel feels somewhat 'cobbled together' and the atmosphere was not particularly friendly. Everything was adequate. Staff were not rude but no one seemed to make an effort to be pleasant either. There was a lack of attention to detail." (2742657)

    All the other hotels in the area were booked up for the days we wanted. It was good that this one was available. The breakfasts were very tasty.

    Although the room looked clean on the surface,nooks and crannies were not very clean. The radiators were very noisy and there was a motor of some sort outside our window that was noisy on and off througout the night. Staff could be more friendly and welcoming.

    The facilities (bathroom, bed etc) were very classy. The situation of the hotel, within walking distance of the village pubs, was another attraction.

    Possibly it could provide a slightly larger choice (e.g. fruit, good quality natural yoghurt) at breakfast - but this is a minor suggestion

    Friendly and warm. Really helpful staff. Very Peaceful.

Examples include incorrect receipt (right price, wrong number of days - uncorrected even after I pointed it out), bath panel dropping off, TV remote in two pieces, incorrect breakfast delivery on two days out of four, uncleaned room one day (though rapidly corrected), no sherry in bar and stark white room.
