    Very good service, everyone very obliging.

    Though the hotel is old, improvements have been made, but not to all areas yet.

    The room was clean and very well furnished. The bathroom a bit on the small size but adequate. The gentleman at reception was very helpful. Free on-site parking was great.

    My room was a basement and I personally don't like dark rooms. Better quality bed sheets would have been great.

    Friendly service - the staff seemed to be doing their best under testing circumstances. The price of accommodation is quite low, so we weren't expecting the Hilton, but we did feel that even at this price things weren't really good enough.

    The hotel is a mess, probably largely owing to progress of building work. The room was scruffy (holes in the wallpaper, blind not in proper order, not really clean), and there was a less-than-fresh aroma about the whole establishment.

    Friendly staff, room good size, bedding & room clean.

    Tired room, bathroom a little damp. but hey it was only 1 night,& the room rate was very good .We were offered to see another room, but we were tired & the room was fine for our purpose The room was in a part of the hotel that had not been renovated yet.

    Service was excellent. Hotel was undergoing a complete refurbishment so everything in our room smelt and looked lovely and new.

    Top bedside cupboard drawer had bits of old locks and latches in. Sink plug didn't work

    THERE ARE NO GOOD POINTS

    THIS HOTEL IS DISGUSTING VERY,VERY, DIRTY, NEEDS LOTS OF MODERNISEING AND LOTS OF PAINTING. THE BEDROOMS NEED DUSTING AND CLEANED OBVIOUSLY NO CLEANERS

    The staff were really friendly and helpful. Obviously trying to make vast improvements by the work going on at the hotel. Our triple room was really nicely decorated and comfortable.

    From the outside the hotel looked unkept however once inside you could see the work being done and the improvements made.

    The place was very disappointing. We had to change rooms 3 times, the last time being at midnight when we were about to get into bed and discovered bloodstains on the duvet cover and the bed linen had not been changed from the previous occupier of the room.

    this hotel should not be able to take guests the worst hotel i have ever stayed in my 5 year old grandson even commented how alfull it was, would not have stayed but unable to find any other accomadation at such late notice. The area the hotel was situated was quite disturbing

    good location for academy and for curry restaurants

    poor organization of reservation. receptionist didnt speak or understand very good english and he seemed to come across a vacant room by chance. Breakfast was very limited ie eggs and toast and dining room was freezing cold.

    we both really enjoyed the hotel room that we were eventually put in! that was lucky. the rooms all look great once they have been re-done.

    but the previous rooms were bad. (we got into the room which was very cold, with wet towels, hot water not working and the bathroom was very dirty and the shower curtain on the floor, and the bathtub side was broken, not good!)

    The owner was very friendly and charming, and although the Hotel was in the process of being renovated you can see the beautifull place it will be again one day. The position of the Hotel next to the Curry Mile was a great bonus.

    The room was very basic, but clean, thought it might have been a little smarter.

    Staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Good location for restaurants and University Conference.

    Room was warm but very basic. Bedside light did not work nor did the light above the mirror in the bathroom. The main bedroom was OK although a little tired. The Bathroom was poor with black/mould staining around the bath and tiles, the ceiling was poor with evidence of water ingress and wall paper was coming off the walls.

    Very friendly and polite reception. Welcoming atmosphere. Adequate,clean, warm room and bathroom. Hot drink making facilities appreciated.

    Light over bed not working - I had to move trolley table (and lamp)to side of bed to enable me to read, as well as to avoid having to get out of bed and cross room to put out light. Light over bathroom sink not working

    when we arrived there was no light working in our bathroom .The only plug in the room was behind a bed so we had to put the kettle on the floor to make a cup of tea.Having two children with me this was not easy trying to keep them from banging in to a boiling kettle.We only got one change of towels for the whole four days while we were there.

    Friendliness of staff

    Quality of room. No working beside light, for example, and only one badly situated plug socket in a large room with 4 beds.

    Polite trustworthy staff. Short walk to Manchester 'curry mile' and ethnic shops. Main road has regular buses from 3 competing bus companies. Hotel car park has working CCTV. Not expensive B&B. Room tea & coffee facility.

    As a 'married' gay couple we would not knowingly have booked into a muslim hotel. Basic facilities.

    "I was made to feel welcome, the room was adequate for my needs and the food was fine. I would redecorate the whole hotel though, especially the dining room as it is in the basement and a bit dark and felt a bit damp." (107735483)

    The place was clean if a little sparse, and the rooms were well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. The reception service was excellent, and the man on the check in counter was lovely.

    They weren't bad points as such, but the dining room was not very nice, being in the basement and generally dark. The service over breakfast was ok - I was left to tend to myself for the first 15 minutes, no one was aware I was there because they were in another room. But the food was great.
