    "staff not helpful had to pay extra when I got there, were not willing to move us to another room in the middle of night so I had to walk about" (108987603)

    one of the worst hotel experiences ever had.electric fuse box in room humming loudly every time we used any electrics the fuse box blew and we had to re-set trip switch. Room extremely hot air conditioning did not work had to leave window open and the volume of traffic outside kept us awake all night. Had to walk around outside at 1am in morning as could not sleep was going to sleep in my car in car park. water leak on outside on hotelconstantly dripping on to the canopy below our bedroom window also kept us awake

    i found all aspects of the hotel value for money.

    hte hotel was in the prosses of refurbishment the lift was out of order we were on 3rd floor i found it a struggle managing luggage .on arrival a porter did assist us . but then i think he needed medical attention due to the weight of the suit case.

    "I was shocked at the rudeness of staff and the state of the room, I would never stay here again!! It ruined my stay and I didnt enjoy it at all" (107576282)

    I arrived to very rude service, apparently I was talking with manager. He gave a room that was small, smelt of mould, extremely dated and nothing like the photo's advertised. When I questioned it, they said photos were of their super rooms, which would cost me £10 per person per night extra! I looked at one of these rooms and it was the one I had been lead to believe I was booking for. The manager was extremely rude, not taking responsibility for the false advertisement or the state of their 'value' rooms.

    having to pay £5 for parking seems very unresponable and then breakfast in the morning was disgusting with microwaves sausages. the fan in the room did not work and the room was extremely hot.

    "We were offered an upgrade (for a small fee) but as we only arrives at 10pm and were leaving at 8.15 we declined, but upgraded rooms looked much better than the one we were in. Cooked breakfast good." (107384553)

    Very friendly and helpful staff on arrival. My daughter couln't get the wi-fi to work and within 10 minutes the problem had been sorted.

    Our room was looking a bit tired but there is a big re-furb going on at the moment.

    poorly soundproofed room lots of traffic noise, drawers on chest would not stay closed, no latch on toilet door, kept coming open

    "Very obliging and helpful staff particularly the proprietor and receptionist (I would name them if that was allowed). Good value for money evening meal - where else could you get 4 courses for a tenner? Bar prices were reasonable, which encouraged us to stay in rather than "hit the town". We would certainly stay at the Russell Court again and are already talking about making this an annual reunion event here." (107136565)

    hotel was basic in its facilities but was clean and tidy even with improvements going on , location was central to area.

    staff in dining room were not very attentive or happy in their work.

    Excellent location, friendly staff we were given a fan as the room was stifling hot.

    The tv did not work but we eventually got another minus a remote,net cutains needed a good wash,the lift in the hotel is no bigger than a handkerchief and is scary!!!! Paying

    The bathroom was adequate but no bath available purely a shower. Other rooms had both.

    The room was far too hot - the radiators were on in the hotel and we had to request an electric fan. The Hotel was under heavy refurbishment which we were not made aware of prior to booking. The road noise outside was disruptive to sleep.

    The Room was clean.

    Staff were rude, unaccommodating and completly unreasonable (Reception Manger in particular).

    "A perfectly adequate and pleasant hotel. Full English breakfast was OK - bar meal the evening before was slightly strange as the delicious omelette was served with both hot vegetables and salad. Having the hot veg on top didn't improve the salad! All in all, if you're wanting to be near the BIC / Pavilion Theatre, this is the place. Shops / cinemas are also handy. Station is about a mile away or so - taxi costs about £4.00. I've rated only adequate re value for money because there was a board outside advertising rooms for half what I'd paid! But that's the way it goes, I guess. No real problems - just niggles." (97017838)

    Perfectly comfortable single room. Staff all very helpful. Hotel in process of being refurbished, so they're coping well with the disruption. Very, very close to International Centre and Pavilion Theatre.

    The refurbished shower room had such a small basin that it was impossible to fill the kettle - a silly point but a practical one. Ended up tipping cups of water into the kettle. A full-length mirror would have been nice.

    plenty of space in the cupboards. plenty of towels provided.

    Nobody showed us to our room. Nobody asked us to familiarize ourselves with fire evacuation procedure. Our room was not ready at the time stated on the internet.

    "Very nice hotel, extremely reasonable in price, staff very accomodating. Room clean and food was satisfactory. It just seemed very quiet, not many other guests there!!!" (97707272)

    Towels changed daily, very good location, near to beach and shops. Staff friendly and helpful, and a four course meal for 10 pounds! Bargain!

    The room was too hot!!!

    check in good, room clean, food very good.

    I booked a superior room the one given was a basic double room, we then asked to upgrade which cost more money not to happy about that. Hotel on main road so traffic noise was a problem to us at nightime.

    "I would have liked to have known: That my card will be pre-authorised three days before arriving That we have to pay on arrival, not departure. That this hotel is horrible and I should have carried on looking for another one. The decor is old, and very worn. The shower leaked. The hot tap ran continuously, just under a sign that said water is precious. Every single floorboard creaked, which made coming home later than my roommate very difficult to do without seriously disturbing her. We were directly over the dancefloor; the floorboards shook because the bass was so loud. The bottle bank was directly outside our room, so we had the sound of breaking glass for a while. The beds were truly on the way out, one of them had pretty much collapsed in the middle. One particular staff was so rude on the phone he had ruined the stay before we had even arrived. It was such a shame that our accomodation should end up such an unfortunate part of our wonderful weekend." (99835870)

    Very little; I can say it was very clean though. All the staff bar one were very friendky, particularly the night porter who was lovely.

    "The premises were clean and tidy with cheerful, helpful staff throughout our visit. Although the room and bathroom were small it was adequate for our needs.     Hotel was clean, quiet, comfortable and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.
