    "I love this hotel. Its a welcome change from the usual Premier Inn, Ramada, Hilton etc which I stay in. I do feel you get what you pay for. I opted for the best room possible which had plenty of space, a fridge, free wifi etc. Its a little dated in the furniture and bathroom department but who cares when it all works and its all clean. It adds to the charm. This is my second stay here and I hope it will not be the last." (108993968)

    This must have been one of the cleanest hotels I have ever been to.

    overall the hotel was very good not too many stairs room nice and clean although we were told we would have a room with a bay window which would be at the front of the hotel but as we were only staying the one night it was fine

    the only criticism I have is that the dining room was rather cramped

    Large room, spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast and courtious staff.

    B & B next door had noisy guests. Bath could do with a non slip mat. Dining room a little cramped.

    The room was big and very bright. The bed was comfortable. Staff very friendly. Nice all you could eat buffet breakfast.

    Room was tired colours of orange bathroom suite, teak furniture, brown carpet with iron burn in it. The headboard needed dumping. The small fridge did not work.Breakfast room was very small and if they had more than 8 guests down there at one time it would be a bit of a problem as the gaps between tables was mininmal.

    Exellent customer service staff very welcoming

    Very noisey room more noise from next door bathroom than our own, windows banging from the wind through the night not much sleep, shower very scaled up only a dribble came out very stiff to turn off. Booked a twin room with 2 put up beds but got a double, single and 1 put up which caused our 2 girls to argue.

    "Not the fault of hotel, but a major "domestic" broke out @ 04.15, causing chaos - police & ambulance attended. At 05.00 other guests returned talking loudly etc. Therefore not much sleep. As leaving, police arrived so did not mention "bad points" to Manager, as felt he had enough on his plate. " (107843248)

    Poor state of room. Bathroom in particular needed decorating. Some cleanliness issues. Television not tuned correctly. Dangerous rug on floor.

    Lovelly place with good facilities, nice food and very friendly staff. Nice character!

    Some minor maintenance needed in some bits but not run down by a long way

    "Upon arriving the staff were extremely friendly and we immediately felt welecome. The rooms although small were well maintained and clean however could do with some modernisation. The beds were in desperate need of an updrade, we had 2 rooms and both beds were lumpy and ours even moved. The staff members were extremely aproachable and did everything they could to ensure that our needs were catered for expecially given that they were operating on a skeleton team due to the time of year. Breakfast was excellent - best i've had at a hotel for a long time, everything was freshly cooked." (107627914)

    "It was a quick stayover, Stopped in worse places but then I have stopped in better cheaper elsewhere in the country. But suited the purpose of getting my head down and all was OK" (107973541)

    Staff were very good and helpful and friendly. Room was OK

    Bathroom was very small, room was cold but in fairness it was about -5 outside although I couldnt get my radiators working in the room or bathroom so ended up leaving a portable radiator on all night to keep the chill off the room, There is no life in this hotel so if you do stay and you have problems with stairs then probably best ask them for a first floor room rather than any higher

    Very pleasant hotel to stay, whether it be for a week or just an overnighter.

    Staff were very friendly and polite. Hotel was well situated both for town & local venue (Cliffs Pavillion). Room was clean and well presented.

    I thought the hotel was great value for money and in a good location only a few minutes walk from the seafront and theatre.

    I don't think there were any bad points.

    Easy to find, clean, welcoming staff. Well sized room, fitted all of our requirements.

    The bathroom was a little dark, & it did take a while to be served at the bar, but nothing really bad to report.

    "The lady at reception was not very friendly. After paying in full for our 2 night stay, we were shocked at the condition of the room. When we asked her to sort out the problem, she complained that the hotel was full, and she could do nothing. When we asked her to replace the mouldy blind in the bathroom, she said guests were never opening the window and how was she supposed to clean the blind, as it would take too long to dry. However, the blind was continually getting wet as the water from the shower went straight onto it. Only after being assertive with her did she take action, and replace the blind, plus move us into a clean room. No apologies - still suprised that we were disatisfied with the room!!!! But at least our second night was ok." (97297939)

    On the second day they moved us into another room and replaced the blind in the previous room. The new room was good and clean.

    Initally room was dirty, blind in bathroom was full of mould. The shower over the bath was tatty, and showering was an ordeal - you could not avoid brushing against the mouldy blind. The room was overall, not up to standard.They should have stuck to continental breakfast, as the egg, tomato, etc. was not good - served boiled jam tomatoes, scrambled egg like rubber .... contintental part was fine.

    "I was there to work so didnt see much of hotel. Staff were great, bed was very comfortable, food (breakfast) was excellent." (97148016)

    Very friendly staff, only had breakfast but it was excellent. Lounge area was very comfortable.

    Room was a little small for executive suite. Parking was a problem, car park very small and full, roadside parking only also full.
