    Excellent, friendly staff who were very approachable.

    In the suite we stayed in there was no fridge/mini bar which was esential after a long day in the sun and shopping.

    location very good,room adequate/good, liked the high floor and view.

    fire escape routs were patly blocked with furniture,sound equipment etc.this was during a fire alarm when we stayed,we were on the 14th floor and not happy to find this stuff in the fire escape corridor,it was reported to staff!!!!!

    booking in and check out was a little slow. I was in one of the non refurbished rooms. The air con didnt work and you couldnt open the windows - very hot and stuffy

    Very good location for city facilities

    Check in was chaotic and the staff very rude. Oasis were playing at Heaton Park that week end and we were not able to check in to our rooms on time. We were met by rude stressed out staff, surely major hotels are meant to be able to cope with a high volume of guests. We paid a premium price for a city hotel but the service was terrible and as a result we were late for the concert. This was my birthday week end and the check in and poor service really did spoil it for my friends and I. We stay in a lot of hotels and would love to visit Manchester again, the hotel was ideally located but the service we recieved would really make me think twice about booking here again.

    Local to shops, bars, restaurants and bus station

    Room appeared to be a family room so had another door in the centre of the room. Unfortunately due to this the walls were thin which meant that we could hear the voices from the next room quite well, and did keep us awake. The bar/restaurant prices were very expensive. Also I did not realise that we had to pay to use the hotel's own carpark which was very expensive per night.

    As you would expect a clean hotel, nice breakfast, nice room.

    Directions to car park £111 per room per night is not good value £12 parking is a rip off

    Personnel very friendly and quick. Morning Buffett staff particularly good. Rooms very clean and orderly, although couldn't understand why there were no washcloths:) Maintenance and Housekeeping staff were very prompt in their response

    Better tag system for luggage in hold at concierge. Had two previous bad experience over the years and prefer tags for each piece of luggage rather than one tag for all pieces.

    "We recently stayed at the MIdland Hotel and paid £20.00 less than the Ramada for 1 night for a room 3 times the size and 3 times nicer The rooms in the Ramada are very nicely presented but on a very basic Holiday Inn type of room and definately not worth the £169.00 we paid We have since found out that rooms the previous night and the following night were considerably cheaper and we are not very happy that this is the case Also the fact that we were at a function at the hotel we enquired about discount for the room but were told that this was not applied whereas most good hotels would offer the discount.     The International Suite the event was in was very good for its purpose and the waiter service was efficient

    The waiter service for breakfast was very slow - we waited at least 5 minutes before any one came to us In the room the the kettle was at one side of the room and all the plugs at the other side not the ideal situation!!

    The staff was wonderful and they did everything they could to assist me. In fact, I do not know when I have ever encountered such helpful and professional staff. I had to print out a long document for a talk I was giving and the management did it for me within 5 minutes, I was thrilled!

    The only problem for me was the internet situation. I would have loved to work on my laptop in my room but I could not sign on. Wi-fi in the rooms would be so much better. I did go to the lounge and I could not sign on there either, and I even had a staff person trying to help me. I ended up using the tv in my room which was awkward and did not have the ease that I was seeking.

    room and facilities we good

    Breakfast was a disaster. I rang the hotel and was told breakfast was til 10.00 but on arrival it was 9.30. Both morning were hectic at 09.00 and the queues where unforgivable. A wait of 15 mins was experienced to get into the restaurant and then another 15 mins to queue for food. This was no way good customer service.

    lifts worked, food was very good,the hotel was in a good position for shopping in and around the arndale centre, opera house theatre, and a small china town

    bathroom was too small, bed un-comfortable, reception staff were very un-cooperative

    "I did not enjoy my stay in the hotel and as a result I was very tired in the day time due to lack of sleep from been unable to sleep properly.It ruined our weekend." (107451343)

    The staff where nice there just wasn't enough of them.

    I could hear the people in the other room and in the corridor making lots of noise. I had asked for two rooms to beside each other and that did not happen. The food in the restaurant in the evening was basic and the service was very slow.

    Small room Poor iron Bad duvet cover it had a tear on the top seam, didn't notice until I was in it and too late to do anything about it!

    Price of room was competative

    Terrible system of parking where I was directed by a security guard on the ramp as to where to park and then worken up in the morning by a curt reception person telling me that if I did not move my car quickly it would be clamped!

    We was up-graded from standard to executive but the carpet was poor in room 611

    The breakfast was very poor for the money, we ended up only eating the toast as the cooked food was hard and cold plus not much selection

    Overall pleasant and the entrance very eye catching........really good. Breakfast excellent!!

    One of the double-glazing windows were broken and cold air was coming in with a lot of street noise.

    This was booked, on line, for my son and his partner. The booking form asked for the names of the guests but made no mention that the credit card used had to be presented, by the account holder, at the time of check-in. My son was refused access because he did not have the card and the whole thing would have been a disaster but for the fact that I was at the end of a phone line at the time of check=in AND was able to get to a fax machine at a neighbours house.
