    "The staff were gracious and very helpful when it came to finding my way around the area. I had a wonderful, comfortable stay. The room had everything I needed." (108985057)

    Great location. Comfortable room with a great view. I asked for a quiet room and got one. Very comfortable bed. Wonderful full English breakfast! Really appreciated the refrigerator, electric kettle, and hairdryer in the room.

    The shower spray holder was broken, but that was a very minor detail. And of course it was very pricey, but then good accommodations in London are, unfortunately.

    Location is great, and many things (cleanliness, breakfast etc) are absolutely first class.

    The room was very noisy (ie. first floor room and windows towards Southampton Row, so the traffic noise was unbearable). The room was also very cold. The girls at the reception didn't know what they were doing.

    Pretty good hotel overall, and not expensive when you take the location into account. Would recommend it.

    We had been allocated a twin bedded room, but on explaining that we thought we had booked a double bedded room the Receptionist immediately upgraded us. Our room was lovely and was very quiet as it was situated to the back of the room. Also breakfast was included, which we had not expected. Staff were excellent and we will definitely stay in this hotel again when visiting London.

    Hotel felt modern and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality.

    The room was small and cramped. On my booking application I requested a quiet room but we were allocated a first floor room overlooking the main road. The road noise was intrusive and kept us awake during the night. I did mention this to the desk clerk and he said we could have been allocated a quiet room at the rear of the hotel. My request was therefore not taken into consideration.

    Ursula on front reception was an absolute star and a credit to the hotel. I had been waiting for an e-mail which didn;t arrive until I was approaching London on the train. I hadn't got my laptop so I couldn't print out the e-mail. I asked Ursula on reception if she wouldn't mind and she obliged with no questions asked. Thanks very much for that

    Great location, excellent staff, nice bath room

    I have visited this hotel five times during the past couple of years. The room we had this time was smallest ever. And it was a bit worn: a broken mirror, a dirty chair and so on.

    I prefer hardwood floors to carpet, I would have liked to know if the breakfast was organic - next time I hope it is?

    Polite,friendly and helpful staff. Modern,clean room with good facilities. Excellent breakfast. Check in/out quick and painless.

    Gents toilets on ground floor not as fresh as they could be. Bar not adequately stocked (draught beers off sale).

    "We booked the hotel for its location and facilities and to have a nice relaxing break over the Christmas period. We came away feeling we had got value for money and that this was an efficiently run hotel." (107350337)

    We found the hotel clean and decor good. The bedroom was modern and comfortable with all the facilities we needed. The food in the restaurant was good and the staff all over the hotel were very pleasant. We would definitely stay there again.

    Excellent location, modern, nicely decorated rooms. 6 of us went and shared twin rooms. I thought the price was very reasonable.

    "Hugely disappointing. Genuinely thought the makeover would result in a quality experience and I was prepared to pay accordingly. Sadly the restaurant has not improved and breakfast was particularly poor quality.So I paid the premium but the hotel did not deliver it's side of the bargain. It still has much to do." (108096387)

    Room was: spacious, clean,with a good bed and reasonable bathroom facilities but,to meet the quality standards described,would need towels of a far better quality and a repaired bathroom door.

    The new hotel promotes itself as much improved from the Bonnington which I also stayed in. Sadly there was little real evidence of change. Our room was bigger and better appointed but everthing else was ordinary. Food was pretty grim.

We assumed that this meant that continental breakfast would be included. The hotel menu did not separate just tea and toast from anything else in its menu, which was described as English breakfast.     Business-friendly room- decent size bathroom, good size room, fridge and bathrobes, etc- that all made the stay much more comfortable and worth the higher price. Exercise room small but contained rowing machine, bike, stepper and running machine and the air conditioning worked!

    Room was at the front of the building, just above the pavement and main road so was noisy. The air conditioning only went down to 19 deg C so the room felt quite airless and warm at times and the windows could not be opened. Breakfast was good but not worth

    The staff were really friendly and allowed us to check into a couple of rooms earlier than the check in time so that we could get ready for our day's events and freshen up. The hotel was really comfortable and the room was clean and modern. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

    Unlike most other hotels unable to check in before check in time. Tried to charge us for phone calls we did not make. We were out of the hotel at the times the calls were supposedly made.

    Excellent location wwithin 5 minute walk to tube station. Good general decor. Very good breakfast and service was excellent, couldn't fault it. Very good value.

    Bedroom was small but very well appointed.
