    Friendly and helpful reception and restaurant staff. Hotel clean and tidy.

    Always too hot in hotels, especially when no room air conditioning available.

    Its good to stay in a revamped hotel of architectural significance

    You are fortunate to have some car parking; it is a cheek to ask your guests to pay. Use it to sell - free car parking!

    "I was extremely disappointed for a 4 star hotel. How you achieved that is beyond me. Maybe it was the terracota exterior that achieved 4 stars but that was about it. I won't be returning in a hurry." (107869729)

    Good location

    I had to pay £10 to park in your car park. What an absolute con. The bar was very poorly stocked and almost no staff available. The room was fitted out like a 2 star hotel, not 4. Tiles on the floor were lifting, the shower flooded the bathroom floor. The extremely noisy lift bell woke me up all night. The television channels didn't work

    bed was far too small, it was either a 3/4 or a double. usually when we stay at other hotels yes you ask for a double room but the bed is usually bigger.

    "The hotel was within walking distance of most restaurants and the station. The breakfast was perfect with lots to choose from. I would recommend the hotel to friends and family but would suggest a double room and not a single room." (108007843)

    Very clean hotel and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome.

    Booked a single room which was quite small for the amount I paid. The room was quite dark and there was no view except for a tall office block. I would not have liked to stay more than one night in the room.

    Good location and very good value for money

    Room looked tired. Decor and furniture was new but door and other main fixtures looked very tired. Room was dusty.

    "The different prices for a Friday night and Saturday night - was discracful (i wouldn't of paid £119 for that particular room if i'd of known) and how can you charge those prices for the rooms AND STILL CHARGE STUPID PRICES to park your car!! Car park should be free if you stay for 2 nights or more, maybe thats something to look into! I maybe book again but will look around more before hand." (97464975)

    "Information about fascilities provided were clear when booking on line.Directions were excellent. The staff were very helpful - we were able to gain access to rooms even though we arrived very early. Breakfast was first class and there was a carpark on site." (97683145)

    It was easy to find from directions supplied from hotel and had convenient parking. The fascilities were excellent and food good

    The lighting was very dim in the rooms.

    Excellent breakfast, nicely refurbished hotel

    Wi-Fi at 50p a minute is scandalous, television controls had no batteries. Receptionist didn't mention parking, tried to charge me £10 when they relaised I had parked without a ticket

    The accommodation was very good and clean and the staff were friendly polite. Not to far from the local night life which was very lively.

    "i would not recommend this hotel as it is far to dear and yes maybe because it is in a city this is why. It was handy for shopping though. Also you have to pay an extra fe to park your car so with us stying 2 nights this cost £20-00 the pics on the site are a bit false as they should show all rooms and not the rooms that aree spacious if I knew the rooms were as small as the one I was in I would never have booked but because they take your card details and they charge you if oyu cancel I had no CHOICE but to stay! I would never recommend this hotel to any of my good friends as @I feel that we were overcharged by far!!!" (97329057)

    not a lot

    well the rooms are v small and the bathroom could do with some bleaching! also the rooms were4 very hot (even when no bed sheets were on) there were fans though provided now I know why! Also the room was not worth the moneys the hotel was charging at the time of the stay there was a big function on so no restaurant facilities but there is and was loads of nice places to eat. I would not recommend this hotel to someone whom has a picture of what they think the room maybe like!! because the pics on the site are false!!

    "I enjoyed my stay and was made to feel very welcome by all staff. I was comfortable and everything was very clean and tidy, magazines for me to read and a lovely environement. I would have liked to know in advance which door to come out of the station as I had to go and ask the way. Thank you" (99525793)

    I was looked after, all staff went the 'extra mile' to help especially with having such a big 'do' on the Saturday evening which could have meant they ignored me - but the staff treated me with equal respect.

    Clean and modern. The rooms don't seem like usual hotel rooms, very comfortable.

    The parking prices are quite steep.

    Good accesability to the City Centre

    "bathroom cold, light over bathroom mirror useless for shaving, wash basin did not drain away adequately leaving unsightly scum each time it was used, tv controls did not always works (intermitent fault?), I do not like paying for breakfast on arriving in the dining room before i had even sat down (this is how to deal with people who are untrustworthy - is this what you think of me, other guests?), fruit compote at breakfast was frozen (not adequately thawed) cooked breakfast was tepid - not hot, etc etc" (99368023)

    "Well updated hotel well located. Staff not quite experienced enough to know what guests expect. Breakfast should have been cooked to order, instead it was self service while staff stood around chatting to each other. Room was rather small and tall as it has been a converson to an ensuite from a bed only room.     "I picked this hotel because it was giving a good summer rate including breakfast and evening meal on the first night. The Dinner proved to be very good, but the room was appalling. Reception staff seemed unperturbed by my reports of two sleepless nights due to the constant noise of an air extractor unit right outside the single-glazed bedroom window!" (99548825)
