    "Although the room had the stated facilities they were cramped into a box-sized room. There are cheaper hotels around which offer the same facilities with better rooms at almost half the price." (97818150)

    Good Friday night discounted rate. Good off street parking. Good location, walking to central city.

    Only supplied a single towel to the room, meaning one of us had use a damp towel after showering. High internet cost per day.

    Smoking room available

    Before booking online range to check that a smoking room would be available, was advised to ring after booking to specify a smoking room. Did so. On arrival was advised no smoking room available. Fortunately it only took about 10 minutes for reception to find one.

    The Staff where brill. Room was nice and clean . with in walking distance of the uni .

    The Hotel was a bit of a maze. But once you found the right set of stairs it was very easy. We had dinner from the bar menu, I had pasta and loved it but my partner did not injoy his as much.

    The staff were all friendly and helpful.

    The hot water was luke warm as was the radiator so the room never heated up. The carpet was in need of a clean

    Proximity to the station. Breakfast was nice.

    Mould on the wall. Airconditioner humming all night outside. Shower broken. Soap dish broken. No decent room service food after 10.30pm.

    The restaurant was the highlight of my stay. Service was excellent with a really well presented meal of delicious fare from a varied menu.

    "Lovely staff, quiet and apart from the bathroom it was clean, nice, safe. Just bad luck the cleaners hadn't told mgt about the mess. And you need to put a thermostat on the radiator. I got back too late to make a fuss about it. Thank you." (99417189)

    Nice room, high ceiling, small double bed even though I booked single room. Very good water pressure. Lovely big windows. Quiet street outside my room.

    Bathroom floor wet and smelly - someone had cleaned up sick or had loo overflowed?? Was all wet still and horrid. Loo a bit too plasticy! Also was BOILING hot and could not turn radiator off. Please replace with modern radiator! Had to sleep with all the windows open which was then very noisy as was a windy night.

    Lovely power shower. Very clean linen, towels. Bed very comfortable.

    Dated decor (pale green bathroom suite with black tiles?!!!?) Tiny dated tv on floor - very difficult to see.

    "For the price i would rather have stayted in the Holiday Inn Express and paid for a taxi to get there. It is modern, clean and all facilties in good working order.     Big room, big bathroom. All the free Freeview channels on TV.

    Breakfast staff were more interested in clearing away than in taking our breakfast order, despite it being an hour before the end of breakfast. Cooked breakfast had clearly been cooked much earlier & kept warm, instead of being freshly cooked. "Double bed" was actually 2 singles made up as one.

    Bathroom suite badly needed updating, was not told about the breakfast facilities on check in (Whether it was included with my booking and what times it was served and where), the TV in the room was at a very awkward height which made it difficult to watch

    wonderful quaint hotel in lovely area of Leicester

    I requested no feather pillows, and no feather comforter for my own room and room of friend also with allergies. We both were given feathers and so both had bloodshot itchy eyes and sinuses the next day. The hotel clerk did not seem concerned at all, even though my distress was quite visible..and audible.

    "The shower leaked water over the bathroom floor, the iron did not work and the kettle was temperamental. The TV sound was poor and crackly. There was no marmalade available at breakfast time as they had run out. The cooked breakfast was not particularly good for a hotel of this calibre. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel to stay in and I was given a 30% refund for the items mentioned above." (2955510)

    Signing to rooms is very confusing as there are a maze of passages to negotiate and numbers do not always follow logical path.

    The hotel is in a nice part of Leicester very convenient for the Centre, the Station and the University and the rooms are generally spacious.

    The hotel is quite extensive on lots of different levels and it can take a long while to reach your room. I was carrying a really heavy suitcase and had to walk a long way to find my room up and down stairs. More seriously, I was woken up in the early hours by some goods being loaded or unloaded on the car park side. The noise was deafening and I could hear a sort of hydraulic lift being used presumably to raise or lower the level of the back of the lorry. This completely ruined my night.

    Location was excellent and the restaurant was lovely for breakfast. They also let us keep the car in the car park after check out when we went to a Rubgy match.

    The shower was terrible. No hot water and low pressure.

    This is one of my favourite hotels in that it manages the impossible - combining modern facilities while maintaining a family feel.

    Despite the general excellence there are the occasional blips with the equipment - showers, heating etc - that argue for some further updating to achieve perfection.

    Well appointed room. Able to change to be near a friend who arrived at the last minute. Comfortable, modern and clean.

    Excellent and attractive location which shows off the city of Leicester to its best. The ease of parking in the city centre was a welcome bonus. A very relaxed atmosphere in the bar in the evening
