    "We were at a wedding and needed a hotel room, if we had had time to find another hotel and check in between our friends wedding meal and reception I would have gladly walked out of your establishment the second we saw the state of the room. Not only that groups of young males were roaming the corridors in only their underwear, not appropriate at all. I will not be coming back." (108802485)

    Car park is to small. Rooms are a disgrace, tiny, with stained carpets, stained bed linen, no duvet just a blanket and throw also stained. Mildew on windows, sides dirty and dusty. Shower had mildew and needed a good bottle bleach and proper clean. Breakfast was a mess of deep fried very poor cheap produce and was covered in grease. However the orange juice was pleasant. The dining room is nice apart from the food (only had breakfast!)

    Good location

    The bed was too small. The mattress was very squeaky and we therefore did not sleep very comfortable. The remote control was broken. The bed cheat were not change in one week

    Bed was absolutely worn out.Small doorway to bath room mean't having to duck everytime or bump your head.for the price the room was far to small

    The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were very helpful.

    Parts of the hotel could do with a refurbishment, but it was still and enjoyable stay, and good value.

    reception was nice.

    rooms in terrible condition, wifi only available in your room on certain floors! (Had to move room), tv very small, table very small, bed not comfy, halls were in terrible condition - the hotel is basically a dump. blood on the carpet in my room, top sheet i dont think has been cleaned for a while

    We were made to feel very comfortable at this hotel. The staff were very friendly in particular the resturant staff. The leisure club was excellent and the pool nice and warm.

    "Did not stay at Brittannia due to double booking, stayed at sister hotel the Roundhouse, pleasant enough if not slightly noisy outside. Minor problem with parking, at breakfast, tea was awful(from flask) " (107344622)

    Relatively clean, efficient receptionist, big room with good size wardrobes. Very reasonable would stay again.

    Mattress needs replaceing, needed a thorough clean, sink in bathroom to small,general decor needed updating, windows need updating to reduce noise from outside. Holder for tea, coffee & sugar needed cleaning, kettle to big for sink.

    Breakfast was good, and we benifitted from the pet friendly scheme in place at the hotel.

    Parking at the hotel was inadequate. The room was clean, however some of the furniture & decor was in a poor state. During the on-line booking it was not made clear your procedure regarding cancellation. I needed to cancel the booking due to an unforseen clash of dates. This was well in advance of the booking, but I was still told there would be no right to a full refund. Upon speaking to the hotel directly, it was clear that had I booked direct with them that would have not been the case.This I felt was an extremley unecessary, unfair policy.

    "Was moved to another room for 2nd night- (due to lack of heat), was 100 % better, could feel the heat as soon as you opened the door. though shouldn't have have had to complain to get that service, considering is the biggest seaside resort on the south coast." (107557116)

    coldest night in october - 2 degrees, room first night was freezing, no heating, was given small portable heater. Room was right at end of building, all radiators in hallway were off. Breakfast 1st morning - 1 waiter trying to keep all food topped up with not much success.

    Not clean despite the heavy smell of cleaning products. Very uncomfortable bed.

    Considering how much I paid for the room it was just a more pleasant looking and feeling hotel than I was expecting. It was really clean and warm and my girlfriend made a point of saying how nice she liked the bedroom furniture. Really nice breakfast.

    Mattress wasn't great. Bed was really squeaky. Both showers - one didnt seem to work at all the other pole for the shower head easily fell over. Its also quite easy to hear other people in other rooms!

    "Was not up to the standard I would have expected. The big selling point of the Wifi was laughable at best. Staffing levels were inadequate. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone, in fact I would tell them to avoid it." (107224957)

    The food was excellent, as was the face to face interaction with all staff.

    * Wifi was useless - barely worked, and when it did it kept dropping * Lifts were a joke - allegedly for 2 people, but was a major squeeze even with just baggage for a weekend * Bathroom was awful * Room service failed to appear on the first morning * Not all staff spoke English very well which made it difficult placing orders * Lack of staff at the bar - at one point there was a queue of five people, while one member of staff just stood behind the bar, and the other one went off to do something * Parking was more than limited - it was insane, with people allowed to park all over the place making moving around the car park a nightmare

    Lovely room. Very pleased that the bar were able to add some chicken to the mixed salad I ordered, to meet my diet requirements, even though it was not on the menu.

    really nice swimming pool staff friendly i felt safe as a lone female guest

    breakfast was a bit disappointing - warm coffee, warm food, bit greasy my booking was incorrect when i arrived - i had booked a single room and was checked in as wanting a double which was twice the price - had to point this out and get another room (which ended up being a double anyway, so can't complain!)

    evacuation of hotel due to a fire in the middle of the night was conducted reasonably well ,with a roll call ,and evacuation to another hotel.

    Standard of restaurant service was poor Having to get up with a cup to pour your own coffee/ tea instead of being served at least that. food was of poor quality and cold.

    Nice shower.

    Filthy room. The carpet had chunks of dirt in it throughout my stay. I am still recovering from the effect of breathing in the dankness of the room for three days.

    Tea was worst ever had.in room and at breakfast female manager eave dropped on con versation, and passed comment staff can not cope with breakfast when busy, food over cooked to the point that it could not be eaten. and when it did arrive never lasted long as they did not cook enough. had to wait for table as were in larger party and parties of 2 were seated on tables for 6+ head waiter also very snappy when more than one person asked for the same item eg, more tea / coffee.

    All staff were very helpful. Nothing appeared a bother. They were always ready to help

    Although the linnen was clean the bedspread was extreemly grubby. This has been the case on a previous occasion. We did not mention it to the staff this time but still feel that the bedspreads should be thoroughly checked and cleaned. It did make the room feel a little grubby which was a shame.

    The breakfast was good and the receptionist was helpful

    The lifts were far too small considering the average size of the guests. The bed was barely big enough for Bilbo Baggins. The kettle smelt of cardboard.

    The room was lovely and spacious, with a great view nice and clean. The location was also very good close to the beach and 5min walking distance to the town

    The chambermaid let herself into our room at 9.45am, even the we had a do not disturb sign on the door and had the room locked from the inside which was not appreciate when your sleeping naked as it's hot in july. I would definatly not stay here again because of this privacy should be paramount. Also the breakfast was terrible toast was rock hard hash browns greasy even the baked beans were cheap and nasty, the tea tasted like the kitchen staff had stubbed out a cigarette in it, and was a sickly grey colour. Totally not worth the money we paid.
