    "very useful for Paddington station and the park. " (108107843)

    the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good but slightly chaotic in that there were a lot of people milling about in a limited space. not a criticism but an observation

    no real bad points. My only observation would be that the single lift was a little small and quite slow but otherwise no real issues

    Nice and rather big bathrooms. The man in the reception was very nice and helpful.

    The lady in the reception was not very helpful.We did not feel very welcomed.Yhe breakfast was poor.

    Reliable and friendly staff. All - important quiet room at night, with HD television. Close to central London and public transport access.

    The inclusion of a mini fridge would be a distinct advantage, and perhaps another lift as the one provided can be quite busy during breakfast times.

    Staff were attentive to my needs. Helpful in times of need.

    Check on heater especially during cold season. Check on unfriendly and status- concious restaurant staff.

    The Holiday Villa Hotel is clean / warm and (most importantly) quiet at night. The staff were polite and friendly as expected. Breakfast was served at a sensible time in comfortable surroundings on the ground floor. Situated close to the Bayswater Road W2, and a nearby underground, Oxford Street and central London are only minutes away.

    Sadly the lack of a mini fridge is my only minus-point.

    Very nice room and hotel.

    Thare was only one soap at bathroom during all days of stay. The walls of the room are too thin that you can hear all your neighbors at next door.

    My room was well furnished, comfortable, clean and warm.

    There was a slight problem regarding the availability of my room upon arrival, yet this matter was speedily resolved by an apologetic member of staff. The inclusion of a mini-fridge in rooms would be a distinct advantage.

    "Need to upgrade the windows and enlarge the rooms (or don't put 3 people is such tight quarters). Lobby and breakfast room were appealing and we enjoyed the location of the hotel. Easy walking distance to transportation. Hotel was quiet. Liked the neighborhood where it was located." (97807167)

    Staff was very friendly and willing to help. When our TV didn't work, someone came up immediately to fix it. Concierge was very helpful with transportation options. The breakfast was adequate -- need to add eggs to the menu. The breakfast staff was very good.

    Shower was terrible. The temperature of the water varied from EXTREME to EXTREME no matter where it was set. There was such a draft coming in from the windows that we had to stuff towels and pillows in the window to sleep. The room was VERY small and could not handle 3 people in such tight quarters. We considered vacating the hotel and moving to another one.

    Breakfast could have included hash brown, beans, tomatoes and all. The choices availabe are as good as none.

    Friendly hotel and restr. staffing. Internet in Lobby. Good location.

    Room was nonsmoking room on nonsmoking floor yet reeked of smoke, unless all windows were open all of the time. Apparently floor above was smoking floor (is this still legal in England?).

    "My (short) at the hotel was great, the staff were helpful and with the hotel located two minutes walk from the Bayswater Road, central London is less than five minutes taxi drive away. I've absolutely no complaints whatsoever, and have already reserved accommodation for June 2008." (99303533)

    Convenient location, restaurant at same location. Small but clean room.

    Heating system in room not easily controlled - was too warm. Lift was too busy at peak times - had to wait a long time to get myself and bags down from the 4th floor.

    "This is a great hotel if you are using the rooms as a crash pad. They a are little on the small size but very clean." (99514992)

    The location of the hotel is ideal for arriving in Paddinton and in walking distance to hyde Park & top of Oxford street.

    There was only one lift and that only took three people at a time. The rooms were very warm.

    "We booked the room at the last minute because our other hotel lost our reservation. The room itself was large and while comfortable it did feel as if it was being used to store excess furniture and items. Thankfully this did not cause any problems - the massage chair was very comfortable! Only gripe was on Saturday night, our lights fused and when we reported it to the desk clerk he said he'd come along in 5 minutes. He didn't. We were left in the dark for some time. Then fell asleep. The lights were fixed by morning though." (99234643)

    Location was ideal for Hyde Park, bathroom was well appointed and beds were comfortable. Filling breakfast.

    Check in was slow as the desk clerk seemed more interested in dealing with something else.

    "We have used this hotel before and have already booked to use it again because it is so convenient for travelling into central London. Some of the decor and fittings are a bit tired but it is clean and warm!" (99404223)

    It's proximity to a tube station but at the same time being a little off the beaten track and quiet.

    It is a bit scruffy in places but then it is a budget hotel and the price is excellent value for London.

    Nice atmosphere. Pleasant surroundings. Very good value for money. Previously stayed at a hotel a minute away for 100 Pounds more,and much preferred this hotel.

    Receptionist could have been more pleasant.

    "I enjoyed my stay in your hotel and so did my daughter. We think some things could be improved, though.One thing that would be of help to visitors is to give them a map of London when checking in, or either put some of these with the other brochures. On my second overnight stay I asked for one and I got it, but the receptionist took it from an out-of-sight shelf!" (3305136570)

    The size of the rooms and beds was adequate.The facilities ( TV , hair-dryer, tea- pot and coffee / milk self-help were also good.

    Some things could be really improved:the quality of the blankets we had ( too worn-out ); not enough soap bars / shampoo in the bathrooms besides. As for the breakfast, cleanliness here should be definitely improved: ALL the cereal bowls are or look dirty ( bottom , the yoghourt and jam should be provided in individual cartons / bars, etc. The quality of the food, ( coffee, bread, croissants, bread rolls, juice, etc ) is, however, fairly GOOD. I liked the lobby and the restaurants downstairs; the staff were willing to help ( storing luggage, calling a taxi, giving directions, etc ); the fact that there is only one lift and not clear directions to the stairs ( all of them have a sign of FIRE EXIT ) kept us waiting either downstairs or upstairs for longer than in opther similar hotels.
