    "Exctly what we were expecting from a hotel of this price, but it was just what we needed. Were there to literally sleep and have breakfast so was absolutely fine for our needs." (108987374)

    Good value for money. Car park watched by CCTV. Nice staff. Decent breakfast included.

    Many of the fittings in our bathroom were broken - toilet roll holder, no towel rail etc. Matress seemed uncomfortable when we first sat on the bed, but once you lie down it was fine.

    "I read the reviews before I booked the hotel so I knew what to expect when we got there, it was dirtier than I expected and it seemed the bin hadn't been cleaned out also before we checked in,the staff seemed friendly but the hotel room was overal dirty, I think if i stay in this area again I would rather pay more for a nicer hotel room and area" (108850338)

    dirty room with dirty windows,dirty shower curtain and dirty bath,kettle didn't switch off properly and leaked over table,mirror was too high on wall,no bedside tables

    The breakfast was fine and the room was clean

    Hard bed which i couldn't sleep on, Unfriendly staff, me and my partner were having a game of pool and got laughed at by the staff, Rude and unfriendly

    I think it was a hotel value for money. The family liked the breakfast, all main facilities were in working order.

    The room windows were overlooking a main noisy street, the windows were dirty.

    The hotel is perfect for a night stay before Alton Towers, the staff were extremely friendly

    "and note, although you pay with ur card when booking online, this only confirms the room for you and no money is taken, and you pay on arrival at the hotel. this was the case with us anyway, so ensure you can pay when you arrive. overall though this hotel was perfectly fine for an overnight stay."     value for money, cheap hotel so basic rooms. you get what you pay for , but was fnie for an over night stay. stayed here the night before alton towers, which is only about half an hour away and fairly easy to get to. Pizza hut, an 24 hour tesco only two mins away so you can easily get anything you need.

    the rooms were extremely hot, had to leave the window open during the night so it was a bit noisy. also, we somehow had to pay in the morning for breakfast for one of our two rooms but not the other one! :S , even though continental breakfast SHOULD be included in the booking, i would advise printing your booking confirmation to show them just to save any hassle and ensure you dont pay again.

    "I think more could be made of this lovely hotel - The restaurent could be marketed more ie when checking in did not realise that the restaurent was selling food - would have had something there than the Pizza hut down the road! Also did not realise there was a nice bar at the Hotel." (107453146)

    The flat screen TV was great in the room. Breakfast was lovely. The actual building architecture was excellent with the original features being shown off.

    not enough towls in room when requested a twin room for two people. The door lock took some mastering. I think that a breakfast menu would enhance the hotel and encourage people to spend more for the English breakfast.

    lady receptionist was great and friendly

    hardly any beer in bar ,no vodka,limited drinks available .night porter grumpy and bad mannerd .didnt want to help and pocketed all the money in his own ,no money went in till .he did try and charge elderly guest mr booth twice for his drink and upset him badly.would never employ him myself.dirty carpet no shower hose.

    Great staff, Excellent value for money, digital tv, carried out all requests we had asked for, breakfast included in price!

    Very Freindly staff most welcoming, rooms clean and spacious. and warm

    just wished there had been facilities to eat at the hotel rather than having to go out a find a resturant. didnt know that hotel hadn't taken monies from bank to pay for the stay wehen i booked online but that was mainly my fault for not checking my bank but bit of a shock when asked for the amount for 2 nights stay. shock didnt last long

    Continental breakfast was good value, as it was included in the price. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

    Beds need to be replaced as the springs could be felt in the mattresses. Windows frames need to be cleaned and fixed.

    Friendly staff, good size rooms, clean facilities, nice food.

    Old building so lots of squeeky floor boards. heating wasn't turned off so it was extremely hot!

    rooms to hot could not turn heating down or off. cold water was hot. toilet didnt flush one room wasnt ready when got there, so gave us different room, then next day we all went out for day, came back they had changed room again leaving my husbands clothers in room with new guest allready in there. on the saturday night we stayed, the hotal had quite a few young lads and girls staying, well that night we didnt get any sleep till 4am , because of the noise screaming shouting, plus one of the lads passed out outside one of our rooms, sick everywhere , not a pleasent night the children where very tired the next day. we did complain they said sorry.

    Pleasant staff,who were always on hand to help.Rooms were well kept and adequate for the price we paid! Hotel was quiet even though it was on a main road.Basic menu was easily priced and food was o.k for the price.

    Chef was not well trained and was unable to accommodate all guests tastes.The kitchen did not have all of the items on the menu and the bar was unable to offer some drinks.

    good point is a easy to find from motorway.and friendliness of the staff.

    on this visit was woken at 6.45 by scafold being taken down.was not happy about that.
