    Clean towels each day. Good breakfasts. Unobtrusive staff. Responded adequately to problems. Central location.

    Room (515) boiling hot, day and night. No light sheet - duvet too hot. Bed uncomfortable. Shower not strong - weak water flow. No toilet paper on last day. Lift bad condition. Staff polite but could be a bit more friendly.

    We were only using the hotel as a base and therefore the standard was more than adequate. Staff were really friendly and helpful, room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were given. Breakfast was more then adequate, you could fill up on cereal, toast, croissants etc and cooked breakfast was avaiable if you wanted (but had to pay £4) Would recommend if using as a base for sightseeing weekend in london as very close to Paddington underground station.

    Bathroom tiles could do with regrouting but were clean none the less! Room was quite small and got quite hot but bed was comfortable and we never planned on spending a lot of time in hotel room - there's too much to see and do!!

    Nice room. We certainly appriciated the equipment with tea and coffee cooking facilities. Good cleaning. We liked the hotel.

    There are two things however we would like to mention: There was a sign in the bathroom that you want to be careful of the environment; we were asked to leave the towels on the floor if we wanted them to be changed. Otherwise we could use them another day. This is important we think, o good way of beeing careful with the nevironment. But the towels were changed regardless how we put them. Pitty! The other thing is that our relatives and friends are still waiting for their postcards we put in the box with text: "POST" in the lobby. Was it a mistake to think, that the hotel would arrange for the cards to be posted? My sister in law tried to phone to the hotel, but the person who answered spoke English poorly. She didn't feel that he could understand her question. Please, will you be kind and look into the post-box and see to that the cards will be posted?? Otherewise perhpas you should tkae the box away?

    very convienient as we came in at paddington railway station

    rooms on the top floor hot to the point of being uncomfortable at times. the window in my room 514 opens all the way only stopping for a stone "wall" and the window in my daughters room 513 would not stay open at all.

    Executive room for £79 was very good in terms of size/cleanliness/facilities - room number 6 - bathroom massive. Room large/roomy.

    The outlook from the room was into a rear courtyard, in itself not an issue but there were bags of builders rubbish and broken/worn out matresses and beds/furniture - clean up asap required - a real pity when the rest was excellent. Bathroom vent fan needs adjusting in terms of its run on timer - was around half an hour - its too long!

    it is near paddington station and hyde park

    they want to be payed in advance. The room was poor with noise, while the price was high. On Internet was indicated like a four star hotel, actually it is a 2 star

    Staff on reception were excellent; tried best to resolve room situation.

    Room for night 1 was not what I'd booked - "recently modernised double room". Staff, though helpful, were unable to move us that night. An alternative room was provided for night 2 matching the booked description. Room 1 stank of smoke and from pile of cigarette buts outside window had obvioulsy been smoked in fairly recently. Though there was no room for it a broken 3rd bed had been squeezed in to the room for our daughter to sleep in. Broken mechanism on bed stuck out with very sharp metal edge at shin height. Main light bulb was blown; room very dirty, dark and not at all inviting.

    "A low price, for a London hotel. Near to restaurants, cafes and 'food pubs' in Paddington. Only 25 minutes by tube to central London (Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street etc). Good single ensuite room for low price." (107787112)

    Only 25 minutes from central London by tube train and walking, for a low hotel price. Room and ensuite looked newly decorated, and were hygienic. Hotel _does_ have a lift, so my room on top floor not a problem for luggage.

    Cleaners good - _too_ good! Took my clean towels away on first morning of my stay. I had placed them on towel rail, to signal 'no need to change towels'. - Unusually, it _snowed_ on my last day there, so, I would have like to stayed in my room, undisturbed, on my last day; cleaners' 'room round' dictated that I go out for the day.

    same standard as an old travel lodge - needs to be updated and some money spent and they could charge more - very small lift

    The staff was very nice and helpful, and he room was comfortable and with good facilities. It had a very good location, and was easy to get to once I found my way.

    The lift being out of order was quite annoying, though nothing I'd fault the hotel for. I think a small direction in the email might be a good idea.

    "We had a roof over our heads and the beds were clean, which is the main thing, but the heat proved a real problem on our first night as we found it very hard to sleep, even with the window as far open as we could get it. Also the pillows weren't very comfortable and my mother found it hard to get comfortable enough in her bed to get to sleep. We had a deal on the room so we paid £49 a night, but we certainly wouldn't have paid the £150 a night that was the advertised 'walk-in' price. " (107520107)

    The staff were polite and the reception area was very nice. The handyman was very obliging on the second day of our stay.

    The heating was locked on full when we arrived and we couldn't turn it off. A call to housekeeping resulted in the housekeeper coming and saying that he had turned it off when he had done nothing - we had to wait until the following day to get cool again! There was an oscillating fan provided in the room, so this had obviously been a problem before we got there. The decor was very dated in the room, although the reception area was nice, and the room could really have done with some upgrading. Cheap tea and coffee were provided on the hospitality tray which really weren't very nice so we went out and bought some more.

    The room was lovely and comfortable. It had all the facilities needed for the night and was great an overnight leisure stay.

    We were on the ground floor so the view out of the window wasnt pleasing as it was only the back alley where all the extra broken furniture was dumped

    Despite having sent a fax confirmation to the hotel, with all the details of our company credit card giving & authorisation for that card to be charged, the guest was forced to pay for the hotel himself - which is totally unacceptible. Our staff do not as a rule carry that amount of cash with them and the company pay for the accomodation as they are travelling on company business. I am far from impressed at this situation and will avoid using this hotel again for this reason.

    Great value for the room, we were very surprised that it was so large after hearing london hotels were pricey! Furnishing was lovely & great big bed, which was very relaxing to sleep in. Wish we had stayed on for breakfast!

    Only thing was that the checkin was a little confusing as I thought I had paid for the room before we arrived. Perhaps the internet site you book through needs to make that a little clearer when the email is sent through to confirm.

    More spacious than I expected for the price I was paying, especially the bathroom. Smart lobby and staff, a lift (not always available in hotels in this area), a private outlook from the window, i.e. not looking into other people's windows (I was on the top floor). THe staff I had dealingw with were friendly and efficient.

    The only bad thing was the noise - I can sleep through noise, so it didn't worry me, but some people might find it difficult. In that case, perhaps they should specify a room at the back of the hotel when booking (it was a warm night, so I had the window open, and the room faced over the busy street).

    "Double" bed was two singles pushed together with one slightly lower than the other. There was only one single cover sheet. There was no closet and no remote for the TV.
