    There was a mistake with our online booking - my mistake - and they accomodated us anyways

    The staff were professional. The hotel had a modern feel in the foyer/dining room/etc. The centra location with Hyde Park nearby. Breakfast was very good (although an additional cost).

    The room was a little dated and could have been bigger (as a family room).

    Fair price for room and location in London. Bed comfortable.

    Room very small. Would be hard to stay more than 2 nights.

    Broken lift, cramped accomodation with a near dangerous stair internally to bed area. Bathroom miniscule - I've seen bigger in small caravans; shower door inadequate to prevent water spilling onto floor area. Poor lighting for shaving. Refreshments used on 1st day not replaced. Fruit salad in fridge smelled mouldy.

    The room was quite small but absolutely perfect for staying overnight. Modern fittings, comfortable bed, clean and tidy. Very close to Paddington Tube, and local shops and restaurants.

    No Bath, but not really a problem. As I said, the room was pretty small but if you are just using the room as a base to see London, it was perfect. At a £100/night, I thought it was just a little bit expensive.

    Friendly and efficient staff. Good service.

    Whilst eating my dinner, I saw a mouse running around the dining room floor. This was not a concern because of the mouse but does raise some concerns about hygiene and general cleanliness.

    The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and although very small, was comfortable, if a little noisy. The air con worked well though, as did all the amenities.

    Room service! The room service menu is very limited, and stunningly overpriced! When I ordered a panini and fries, the panini was wet, but also burnt (quite an achievement), and the filling was almost non existent. The fries were lukewarm and there was no salt/pepper or sauce. When I complained,they brought me new food with sauce etc, and were very apologetic, but the panini still had almost no filling. This "food" cost me £19!!!!

    Although we have booked the hotel through Active Hotels, we were contacted by reservations@thehydeparkpaddington.com, for a full payment for a group reservation. Very confussing??

    Upgraded on arrival, which was great. So cannot comment on what our original room would have been like. Plus got discounted room in first place!

    Room was hot and slight issue with hot water! The hotel knew about these and were taking steps to fix.....hence being woke up at 8.15am by banging & shouting outside window. They left at 9 for breakfast & returned at 9.30! Colleagues room even hotter!

    "We would have liked to have known the size of the room prior to booking, we would not have stayed in such a small room. The staff was helpful, friendly and obliging and responded adequately to our requests when able. The location was good with easy access to the underground. We were worried about having our TV on in the evening, since I suspect that it was clearly heard in the next room. The price was reasonable, however, we would have gladly paid more for a larger room." (97266495)

    It was very clean. Reasonably priced.

    The room was uncomfortably small & walls very thin allowing normal volume speaking voices in next room to be heard. Some fixtures in bathroom were in need of maintenance. Old fashioned blankets and bed spreads were provided, which always seem dirty. I suggest replacing these by quilts with freshly washed covers for each guest. Bar soap was not provided in bathroom, only shower gel provided with some dispensers not working properly.

    room decor was really pretty

    it was amazingly hot and the fan provided did nothing to help, we had the window wide open all night even when it poured with rain it was so hot

    not suitable for 4. Pull down bed uncomfortable and bedding bizarre and unpleasant to the touch. Could not aerate the room without opening huge window and freezing.

    Proximity to Paddington as we were at the end of our stay and had to get to Heathrow early in the am. Kindsize bed in upper level of the room was perfect!

    Comfort level of sofa bed was not up to par!

    It was clean, with very plush decor and the bed was very comfortable. Excellent location.

    The room was very clean.

    The room was very small and we had to complain about noise levels on all three nights. I feel if someone is causing disturbance to other guests they should be asked to leave after once chance. Every night we had very noisy neighbours. As a result i would not book your hotel again if i was coming to london on business or pleasure.
