    Good value for money. Good room once I'd changed it.

    Congested reception. Only one lift. No where to park when dropping/picking bags up. Not fully refurbished. My first room was very poor.

    "The Blakemore was an okay place to stay. I didn't spend that much time there anyway. The room was clean, staff friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic! So close to everything. Will be great when the renovations are completed." (107610462)

    Personal safe inside the room. Continental breakfast was of good quality and included in price. The modern facilities in the breakfast room. Water pressure in the shower was great. Staff were very helpful. Fan in the room. Location - halfway between Notting Hill and Oxford Street with Kensington Gardens at the end of the street. Tube station (Queensway) and bus stop only a 5 minute walk away. Room was very clean. Window could be opened. Access to Wireless Internet.

    As a lone trveller, access to the third floor with 2 pieces of luggage was difficult via the service lift. It was very warm inside the room - 27 degrees Celcius with the window open. The yoghurt on the breakfast buffet was warm maybe better refrigeration when it is out on the buffet. TV - volume was broken - loud or off only - maybe access to a wider range of channels or in-house movies would be good, especially as I was a lone traveller and wouldn't venture too far out at night. A mini fridge inside the room would allow for cool drinks - especially in Summer Room was quite old but full of 'character' and 'charm'. Access to Internet was expensive.

    Near to 2 underground stations and Queensway where there are many restaurants and shops.

    Rude reception staff. Room uncomfortable even with a oscillating fan on a hot & humid day. Guest lift not working.

    very slow and poor service for check in and will not do anything till three o clock. If timed badly long wait for breakfast as not enough tables to seat everyone.

    "As I booked the room at a reduced rate and taking into consideration it was London I would say that it was adequate for the 2 nights. " (107897948)

    The hotel entrance and dining areas were clean and impressive. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was clean - toilet was clean and clean towels were provided each day.

    The hotel is clearly under refurbishment certainly to the facade which is certainly needed as my bedroom window frame was rotten - the window in fact would not close. The room was small and in need of refurbishment. The water was only hot in the morning. Clearly there had been various water leaks - this was reflected by damp on the ceiling and the walls.

    In the morning we had to wait for 20 minutes for our breakfast, because there weren't enough tables. And when we finally got our table, only the continental breakfast was included. For an English breakfast we had to pay an extra 5,50 pounds. We thought that was ridiculous, since we ARE IN ENGLAND. When we filed a complaint at the check out, the girl behind the counter hardly reacted.

    "I was very happy with my stay & the room. Having stayed in London before I am aware that rooms are generally small so was happy with the size of mine. Would definitely stay here again & recommend to others." (107866610)

    Cleanliness of room, Staff were friendly & eager to help, Breakfast adequate & meals in dining room were of good quality. Also in a good central position, close to public transport & shopping.

    The only problem at this time was the lift not working & I understand that this is because of the improvement work being done at the hotel. But as we were on the 3rd floor it did make it a tuff climb.

    Quartier très calme et agréable, proche des transports(paddington)et de Hyde park (5mn à pieds). Sur simple demande, nous avons pu changer de chambre pour une qui nous convenais mieux. Bon petit déjeuner. Personnel à l'écoute.

    Hôtel en ravalement lors de notre séjour, ce qui lui a fait perdre un peu de son cachet. la cuisine était également en travaux (un peu de bruit en journée).

    Internet facilities

    It is chating ! you put pictures and in relaity nothing true. No fridg in the room !! it is really a shame. It is - 3 hotels. I will never eve recommended to all my friends.

    I letti sono molto comodi. La vasca da bagno si riempie in 5 secondi. La stanza è spaziosa. Il personale è molto gentile.

    Moquette che trattiene troppa polvere. Un po' di ruggine nella vasca. L'ascensore è un po' tanto antiquato e a volte non funziona bene.

    "Really pleased generally. Easy to book, good price on line (I saved £25 booking on line rather than walking in) They do triple rooms which not many places do, great for a girly weekend. I paid the same price as the Marylebone Travelodge would have been, but it was much better service, and breakfast was included. " (107504900)

    Really good location, easy walk to two tube lines to get anywhere easily. Felt like a more expensive hotel. Friendly helpful staff on duty on reception, and they stored bags for the day for us. Room although not huge was more than adequate, clean (but not perfectly so) beds comfy, shower hot. Breakfast was suffucient, although the toaster needs adjusting, needed to go through cooker three times to actually get a bit of colour on the bread!!

    The loo doors in the ladies downstairs need rehanging the other way! they open into the cubicle and it is really diffiult to get in or out if you are any bigger than a size 8! The radiator next to the bed was on full blast in May. The road was fairly noisy overnight, and although it is central London it is a quiet road, so this was surprising. With the window open to keep the temperature down the noise came in. I put the spare duvet on the radiator for the night...Seems rather un green...

    When you walk into the hotel it looks really nice and inviting.

    The triple room I booked was described as "large and spacious", but was infact an average size twin room with a put-you-up bed inbetween the two single beds and wardrobe, disappointing. "Space" was very limited.

    "We booked online and were not aware of the conditions regarding continental or cooked breakfast. So as we went down in the morning we discovered a very full hot buffet breakfast that no-one seemed to be eating. We were told that if we wanted the hot option they would charge us £5.50 each for this. Not happy about this. It was not mentioned to us when we checked in so we were caught unawares. Had this been said we may have been prepared to pay, but for over £135.00 a room i'd have expected a cooked breakfast as standard as most hotels are. I imagine the staff enjoyed it though once the guests had left. Also, we asked the quickest and easiest way to get to Leicester Square from the hotel. The receptionist didn't know and the manager,(i think that's who he was, he didn't introduce himself),was quite stand offish as though we were causing an inconvenience. If you run a hotel, surely you need to have local knowledge for those who are not from the area. " (107621362)

    Location of Hotel was great, 15 min walk from Paddington Station and short walk from underground with Hyde Park across the road.

    Communication was not to a good enough standard, and local knowledge could have been better.

    For the price we paid the hotel was value for money, breakfast adequate, staff helpful and courteous; public areas clean

    workmen in hotel caused minor disruption - noise room had no cold water - tap would not turn

    "Convenient and affordable for the budget traveller. The hotel had a friendly staff and it appeared to be in a quiet/safe area of London. Would stay again and hopefully the scaffolding will be gone and the main lift working!" (107615028)

    The hotel was an easy walk from the Tube station. The neighborhood area had convenient shops and restaurants. The area also seemed quiet (little street noise) and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices (continental or full English) were very good!

    Hotel was under renovation and the main lift was not working. The facility appears to be in the process of overall updating (needed-due to old room fixtures, closet doors would not open, plumbing was noisy, etc); and hopefully will continue to improve.

    noises from hallways, from adjoining rooms and from outside due apparently to poor insulation. Very few TV channels available in the room"s TV set, with very poor TV picture. Problem adjusting the water in the shower.

    Staff were excellent - in particular the young male bar man who was attentive and efficient.

    We were interrupted while still in bed by the chambermaids on our final morning (by them letting themselves into the room) which suggests poor organisation or communication between staff, but was an honest mistake!

    The male staff at front desk is very helpful and nice.

    The cleaningness of the bed sheet is not up to standard. The size of the room is too small.

    Great hotel and staff.The breakfast was good. Good travelling distance to Londons main attractions

    We were unlucky with the room as they were renovating at the time. It was small and would have suited better for a single person. The bed was too short and too narrow. All this will improve when they get the extra metres when the renovation is done:-)

    Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast buffet both continental and cooked. Room comfortable and cosy. Perfect location for central London and easy access to all west end areas.

    Lift not working as renovations in progress. Only one restaurant but ok as lots of restaruants on same street with good food.
