    staff were helpful and hotel clean.

    considering it was very cold & wet outside, and we were not arriving in the room until the evening..we were a bit annoyed that the room was very cold on arrival!! we would have thought that the heating in the room could have been turned on for our arrival considering we hd a very tired 5 yr old child.

    Wonderful bed - besst nights sleep I've had in ages.

    "Have stayed in a lot of hotels for business and pleasure over the last year and this was the best. Compares favourably with other bigger, more expensive hotel chains, and offers a much more friendly and personal service. We enjoyed our five days in Llanwrst, and are very much looking forward to the next opportunity we have to stay at this hotel." (107383003)

    All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was well appointed and peaceful, with excellent views. Good standard of cleanliness and service. Fantastic food in the restaurant, particularly breakfast. Llanwrst is a charming village within easy reach of the main attractions of Snowdonia, but without the tourist melee of Betws-y-Coed or Llanberis.

    The present owners have been in residence for 3 years and have worked hard to make the restuarant and bar area very smart and welcoming.

    Our bathroom was very small and in need of modernising, but it was very clean.

    Dining room and bar look to have recently been refurbished to a high standard. Food in restaurant good.Very good choice at breakfast.

    The room was 'cold'and we were glad we had a small fan heater, bare floorboards did not help. Room small and the ensuite toilet/shower room was tiny. The yellow(!)toilet suite was in great need of refurbishment; the basin had a crack through it! Soundproofing very poor as we could hear somebody next door or above going to the lavatory every morning; not pleasant!!

    Excellent hotel. Staff couldn't do enough, was upgraded. Food excellent. Hotel owner even acted as chauffuer to the wedding at a neighbouring hotel.

    Lovely room with a gorgeous view. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Very good restaurant and plenty to do in the surrounding area

    The road outside the hotel was a little noisy but that was the only bad point and it wasn't that bad

    Clean & well presented accommodation. Friendly & helpful staff. Excellent views from the bedrooms, and quiet despite being situated on a main road.

    Bar menu was a little limited, and trying to reserve a table in the restaurant did not appear as easy as suggested.

    The room was very comfortable and the food in the resturant was very good.This is the second time we have stayed at Meadowsweet. On our last trip, 2002, we stayed two nights. The close location to the North train station is very helpful. All the people working at the hotel were very helpful and interesting to talk to.

    Because of our age and knees, my husband and I had a hard time going up and down the stairs to the second sleeping level. On our next visit, we will need to see if we could stay on the first level.

    Fantastic views form room 8, the room had been completed to a high standard. The bar area and food was great.

    If you have to share a bathroom, then the shower needs to be of a high standard. Consider a power shower.

    "we booked the hotel to celebrate my husbands birthday and our wedding anniversary. On arrival we were greated with a bottle of champaigne and a gift. Everyone was so friendly and the breakfast menue was amazing. We have decided that we will return each year for our special celebrations." (97311920)

    Really friendly staff. A great deal of effort has been put into this small hotel. Furnishings were of a high standard, and there were numerous nice little touches, both in our room & the hotel generally. Food was also excellent.

    "Centrally located for exploring Snowdonia area. We were on the top floor at the front with hill views. The hotel was tastefully decorated to a good standard and quiet at night. It is just on the outskirts of town and a few minutes walk on the flat, to the railway station and shops." (3304950479)

    Friendly, helpful staff. Had excellent bar facilities. Breakfast was good.

    Could do with slightly larger car park. We would have liked a lift as on the top floor.

    "We found this hotel online after an extensive search. The interior was dated and a bit drab but well kept, clean and tidy. However as we were only sleeping here and having breakfast it was more than adequate. The bedroom was small but comfortable. The choice of wallpaper was frightening, thankfully we didn't have to look at the wall paper as the lights we were sleeping for much of the time. The beds although small, were very comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep. The tea making facilities were excellent. Our view wasn't quite what was suggested on the site; we were at the back or side of the hotel and din't have the fantastic view over the hills and fields, but again, we were only sleeping in the hotel so this didn't matter. One word of warning and this isn't related to the hotel, but the location. Llanwrst is a beautiful town with lovely people, however we went to the local Indian restaurant on the Saturday night and dozens of young people came flooding out the pubs and started brawling. Apparently this is a regular event in Llanwrst. This shouldn't affect your stay at the hotel and we would thoroughly recommend the hotel." (3304933547)

    "The description of the room was accurate, but it would have been good to know in advance that it was actually a family room and not a twin. The bathroom was barely adequate - diffivult loo to flush, inadequate shelves for toiletry bags and a poor shower, withg very low pressure and old fashioned controls. The food was OK, but not as much fresh local produce was in evidence as the hotel claimed. The location, though, is delightful, even though it is on a main road." (3304895162)

    "The rooms are in poorer condition than explained. The breakfast was very poor, even had to send toast back as it was moldy. They took the toast back and gave us stale toast (possible the same loaf) without the mold.     Good, large clean room with beautiful views over fields.Reasonable breakfast.

    No one to greet us on arrival. No one in restaurant at breakfast to inform us of procedures, managed to work out anyway.

The walls were a little thin in the room we stayed in so we felt that everyone could hear our conversations!! Oh well...we were only there for two nights and as I have said the staff were very helpful and had a lot of local knowledge." (3304268211)

    The breakfast was lovely as we were given a choice of what we wanted and it only took a few minutes to prepare.

    Perhaps the decor needs to be updated a little bit?
