    Leisure facilities excellent.

    The leisure facilities were good and the room nice and comfy.

    Breakfast on the first morning was very disorganised and not enough staff on to cope with the demand. We waited half an hour for toast which never came. Also the bathroom was dirty in our room and we put in several requests for extra towels with reception which again never came.

    charged on bill for bar drinks never had ,phoned to find out where hotel was not helpfull at all,dissapointed,also not able to phone hotel direct was costly on mobile because of this,there were two weddings on very noisey untill about 2.30am

    Room only set up for one person. The towel was dirty. Service in restraunt was very slow and food expensive.

    In such a big carpark it was disapointing to find there was only two disabled spaces. This resulted in my having to carry our luggage quite a long way and I have Parkinsons disease.

    The provision of a hair dryer with a\djacent mirror was a plus point. There was a hook in the bathroom for a toilet bag.

    The top of the curtains were dusty.

    Staff worked hard but breakfast could have been organised better.

    Knowing that you had coach loads of people staying over night and requiring breakfast the organisation of breakfast could have been a lot better.

    The staff were well trained and showed a standard of care that was suprisingly good. The hotel was clean and well maintained.

    the room keycard was a mystry to me and I would have valued being told how to use it. ie 'insert it and remove it and wait for the green light'. I inserted the card in various ways and tried to open the door without removing the card. It was on the second visit to the reception that I was told how to use it.

    The fitness centre was good and the hotel in was clean. The staff were freindly and courteous.

    The room was just fair and in need of care and attention to finish. The menu for dinner was fairly simple but the over pricec for the quality.

    Excdellent breakfast - tasty and fresh, unlike many other hotel buffets.

    Hotel had not received the reservation and had to sort it out on the spot.

    easy to find and has excellent health spa adjacent

    the fact that the bedding was soiled - i did not notice how bad until the next morning - a cup was so badly cracked in the room it leaked and dripped on me.

    "Room service took an age to deliver the food, but when they did it was very good. Room overlooked the bottle bank and rubbish bins so they were very noisy late into the night and early mornings. Couldnt close the windows as it was warm and there was no aircon in the room When I confirmed with the hotel that I was bringing my dog I was told I was on the ground floor but I was actually in a room on the 1st floor.     "The hotel appeared well worn in public areas.It had a small bar area.It also seemed to be very short of staff, and caught unaware by the arrival of 2 coach parties.The restaurant was unable to cope with dinner service on the first night and had clients queuing at the door or sitting in the crowded bar area waiting.We opted to eat away from the hotel because of this for the duration of our stay. I find it hard to believe that a hotel with 118 rooms, and extensive conference facilities could not cope with a relatively small amount of people.The fitness club and pool were small but well maintained and the most impressive part of our stay."     We were given a complimentary upgrade from standard double to studio room. It was adequate, but upgraded from what sort of standard I wonder?

    The impressive flat screen tv took forever to turn on, room service was sloppy. request for repair of broken light fitting was ignored. An apparent ban on teaspoons in the room irritated.

    "the hotel was clean. the restaurant was terrible. On entry to restaurant there were 9 covers seated. No waiter/waitress was around. a sign was displayed wait to be seated I waited 5 minutes. once seated another 10 minutes before a waitress came to take my order. at no time from seating to the order being given was asked about a drink. but was sorry for the delay as they were busy. with 9 covers? Ok there were bar meals but your restaurant covers should not suffer for that. through the meal none of the waiters/waitresses stayed front of house. yet all of them stayed in the kitchen laughing and joking. other people camein and had the same delay in seating. the food was ok the veg for the main course was bland and one of the veg was a diced carrot and pea mixed with some form of sauce. on discussion with other people we all agreed that the appearnce was of vomit, not quite the di[play to makea meal appetising. this hotel was not the standard i expected from sucha reputable chain."     was not informed that there may be a problem with the tv due to engineers working. No wireless broadband in the room.hotel did change my room

    "I would like to stay in the warmer months and see and make use of the local areas beauty. Room was clean and spacious, leisure facilities were good although the jaccuzzi pool was quite cool. Overall a great experience and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks" (99445071)

    Excellent value for money, great facilities, nice area.

    Food from bar area wasnt great, restaurant menu not very appealing. menu in room showed one deal when at the bar it was different, caused confusion and upset.

    I thought that the grounds were stunning and the wildlife was pretty, watching squirells hopping about from the pool was nice. The buffet breakfast was good. The staff both at the reception and the pool were friendly and helpful.

    The movies on the t.v didnt work. The pool and bath spa temperatures could have been higher. The kitchen staff were inadaquete and disorganised, the number of items from the menu unavailable was quite shocking.
