    "A very pleasant experiance" (108708476)

    All the staff, at all levels were pleasant,helpful and smartly turned out - The chef must be especially congratulated on the quality of the food. The meals we had were some of the best we have ever had in any hotel.

    Staff were excellent and very accommodating, lovely big room.

    toilet broke (old and dilapidated) but i managed to fix myself, fan made a horrible noise in toilet. Cooked breakfast not the best (but managed to finish it all).

    This hotel was clean and staff very friendly and they had upgraded our room on arrival from a double (with a put up bed for our son) to a triple for no extra cost. Breakfast was excellent and so was service. On the whole a very nice stay and family friendly too.

    Some late night noise from other quests on 1 night, but as a small hotel this is to be expected.

    The hotel facilities were of a good standard for a short break and the facilites within the room and in the hotel were fine for people without mobility issues.

    I had requested on my booking accessible facilities as my friend has difficulties with mobility. Although we received an apology and the receptionist carried her case to our first floor room there was no attempt to move us. I did not follow this up as my friend managed to walk up stairs taking rests.Also I had not phoned to check which I would normally have done.

    Restaurant menu very good, & service very good, and staff on the desk very helpful.

    Toilet flush handle needed adjusting, & on morning of check - out, toilet could not be flushed. My fault for not reporting as soon as I arrived, so the Hotel could do nothing about it, but I would have expected the room staff to have operated all equipment.

    Booking & check in was efficient, as was checking out. Upon arrival room was ready and no problems with room.

    Only bad thing was the level of the music that was going on in the downstairs entertainment area. It was so loud, that I could hear every song, however I was offered an opportunity to move rooms and given a discounted rate.

    "It was a pleasant stay when analyzing the room and main hotel conditions. Unfortunately, at the time of booking I did highlight how I was looking forward to the wireless. Even if any connection can crash down, I wouldn't expect it to happen on a constant basis after another 5 minutes (or less!). If the hotel does advertise the wireless, then it needs to ensure that it is working properly for its potential customers. I did get disappointed with that, and was not the only one as other guests were experiencing the same problem." (107417588)

    Staff very friendly and helpful ,

    Bedroom/facilities were rather overpriced - the shower antiquated and not user friendly for a slightly disabled customer, no hand rails or slip mat, toilet too low and no grab rails, I had asked if there was a 'walk in shower' as I am unable to access baths. Staff didn't explain layout of hotel or services and I had to ask for receipts for bar food. Although I had paid online I was presented with the bill to pay again on leaving - lucky for me I had my printout!

    "I think the hotel needs to look at what other types of accommodation people can get for £98 per night - I have stayed in some lovely, much funkier or modern places for less in other seaside towns, such as Brighton and Eastbourne. " (107529322)

    Staff were polite - man at reception very nice when we booked in.

    I thought the room was overpriced for £98 for one night. It was dated, and I hate having carpet in the bathroom as it seems terribly unhygenic. It was also slightly grotty in places (mould on the tiles in bathroom) albeit the room and bathroom were superficially clean. Bedding was a pain, and kept falling off in the middle of the night (slippery sheets!).

    "Very good - I have learnt from experience that you get what you pay for in hotels and this one was worth the money as everything was very straightforward and made a relaxed start to our holiday in France." (97148373)

    I had to change my booking at short notice. This was managed with complete professionalism. The male receptionist (?) manager(?) on the desk when we arrived was welcoming, courteous and informative.

    We had a meal which was fair value for money, however I felt sorry for the waitresses as it was so quiet.

    The general areas were excellent, clean and fresh. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was very good. Facilities in room were very good.

    The en-suite smelled of smoking. The bathroom would have been better with a tiled floor rather than a carpet as this obviously would be cleaner.

    "The hotel was lovely, the staff were all very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was well presented and varied, with lots of fresh fruit, yoghurts and cereal available, as well as the cooked selection. Car parking was easy and the town center is within walking distance. Our only slight complaint was that the music played in the communal areas could have been a bit more varied." (97537194)

    Would have preferred tiles/vinyl on en-suite floor instead of carpet.

    Everything was in working order

    Bad customer service from staff, musty smelling bed sheets, dog barking in the next room for hours!! When enquiring about payment the member of staff spoken to was very hostile in her tone.
