    the food was very good and the wine selection excellent

    please clean the fag ends off the balcony and then the outside of the balcony would look better

    A first class hotel, clean, quiet, spectacular views of Poole harbour. Breakfast excecellent, lady in charge very pleasant. Room in very good order.

    Expensive per night if not internet 'deal'. Dinner restaurant service sloppy. Food ok but not justifying quite high costs...there again probably 20% of the bill is for the view. Lift out of order.

    Excellent location and fab views from restaurant and terrace

    our room had no sea view and was a bit dark would prefer selection of bread rather then just toast for breakfast

    "My husband and I are visiting from Canada and Poole was recommended to us by UK friends. It was our 18th anniversary weekend. The front desk were extremely helpful in giving us a wonderful room with a seaside view. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you very much." (97943143)

    The beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were accommodating.

    Ambience

    No instructions on operating air conditioning were found.Room was too warm during night. Anyone not familiar with the controls would have had difficulty to adjust the temperature.

    setting is beautiful, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent, as was power shower.

    Bathroom was dirty upon arrival. Interior updating desperately required. Better soundproofing needed.

    Very comfortable rooms and generally exellent service.

    Unfortunately we didn't get a bay view as it was a late booking which would have been nice. Breakfast ordering was a bit slow.

Things I wish I'd known would be that the leisure facilities are off site (i.e. a drive away) and that the room service sandwiches are miniscule, i.e. if you're going to cut the crusts off, you have to start with decent sized bread!     Harbour Heights is a great hotel to stay in - the romance of the veranda bar is breathtaking. It feels like a film set.

    We were unfortunate in our room (203) which had a pants view (over the bins) and was near to the boiler chimney but perhaps that's because I went for the cheaper option of a family room? The hotel did offer us 10% off the price of the room because we were disappointed which I think was a satisfactory resolution - I mean, someone has to overlook the bins!

    "The contemporary style of the private and public rooms makes the hotel very attractive. The lack of certain facilities you may expect in a 4 star hotel (pool, gym etc..) is compensated by the views, style and ambiance of the hotel. The restaurant is equal to some of the best reataurants in London." (3305105389)

    The rooms are excellent, modern, well equiped and a good size

    I would want the opportunity to book a sea view room...pay more if necessary...I would only return with the guarantee of a sea view

    Clean, spacious and luxurious

    car park was a nightmare on arrival with wedding guests having taken every available space and more. No on-site gym/pool.

    "The hotel has a fantastic setting and the views from our room were quite outstanding. We booked for one night to have a romantic weekend together and we were not dissapointed with the hotel. Staff were extremely polite especially the lady who served us breakfast. Was the hotel worth the price probably not!!!! It does not have enough facilities. When I asked about leisure facilities I was directed to another hotel within the group. At £260 for B & B I would expect to make that journey in a lift not a car....The weekend had a specific purpose for us however and the cost was not the issue. We would stay at this hotel again (if I had my own bathrobe)" (3304145458)

    I booked a sea view room with a balcony although the room wasn't large it was adequate but the balcony was tiny!!! However the view was fantastic

    Room checking could be more thorough as we only had one bathrobe and that had no means of tying. wasn't a problem for us we just shared!!!!

    Wonderful view. Smallish well appointed room.

    Our table for dinner was not booked despite our online request and confirming on checkin. We were not shown how to use the TV system nor how to adjust the air conditioning - room was too hot. The bath contained hairs. The Tea/coffee tray had not been properly replenished.

    "The stay didn't start well. We got lost in Sandbanks, and when we phoned the receptionist to ask for directions, she wasn't sure herself . The room was good with a superb seaview over to Browning island but overpriced at £260 /night. The staff were very pleasant otherwise." (1903153)

    Fantastic view- we had a seaview balcony. Room above average

    Overpriced, but I guess you are paying for the view. Very slow service at breakfast

    We booked the family room, assuming it had 2 double beds, when we arrived and pointed this out they immediately moved us to 2 double rooms which we were very pleased with.

    The dining arrangements were pretty rediculous. Not being able to eat in the restuarant in the afternoon until 7pm, unless it was room service although there's no where to eat it in your room. We found that really rediculous. Food was great when we finally had it though!

    "There should definitley be a winter rate for a hotel like the Harbour Heights. Guests cannot make use of the room's balconies, views and stunning outdoor decks etc in the autumn / winter months. If our rate was a winter rate than it is far too high, we would have expected to pay between £120 - £160 for a hotel room like the one we had. This is based on staying in hotels all over the world of various rates and quality. A compensatory offer would persuade us back again. I would not recommend this hotel for value for money."     The view from the room was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and friendly

    Rate too high for size and cleanliness of room. Expected more complimentary services for £250.
