    Hotel was very clean, facilities were excellent and the staff were very helpful.

    None apart from the availability of the continental breakfast. As it finished at 10 am, I was unable to have anything to eat before I left the hotel.

    Very good, clean hotel with the bonus of views of Lancashire cricket.

    During match days, parking is too far away especially if you have heavy luggage. The staff told me that the parking usually used by the hotel was reserved fot the disabled. I have po problem with that in principle. In fact, it was used by able-bodied people and was half empty throughout the days hotel guests were not allowed to use it. THe hotel dismissed any responsibility. I returned from breakfast at 8:00am to find someone cleaning my room. The very state of the room made it clear that I was still in the hotel. The television controls in the room are complex and do not always work.

    The room looked over the cricket ground so when working in the morning prior to my meeting I had a nice view. The hotel was relatively quiet which was very welcome. The value for money was excellent.

    "We had a great stay at this hotel. Everything was shiny and new which helped. The hotel is about 10 minutes on the bus from the town centre and a cheap cab ride home again. The room was clean, quiet and with a great view of the pitch and a nice balcony to enjoy it from." (108523353)

    "Very good, the only downside was that when we asked how to get into the centre the reception advised as to where to get a bus but didn't know the number and couldn't direct us to a carpark in the centre if we wanted to drive. Map of the centre in the reception like you are given when abroard would be handy for some staying guests." (108825370)

    Convenience - close proximity to our intended venues. Organisation - car parking staffed well and staff informative and helpful when alternative car park needed.

    The Abba event in the marquee in the car park went on quite late and was very loud - good luck to them and hope they had a good night but we needed some sleep!!

    Handy for train into Manchester.If you would like to see cricket pitch book an executive room but as there was no cricket on i don't think it is worth it but the price difference is very little.

    we had a very important event on the day we arrived and were told previously that there would be somewhere to change. when we arrived we were told we had to change in the toilets- this ruined the day we had been looking forward to for so long!

    CLEAN AND TIDY ROOM BEDS COMFORTABLE

    extremely noisy, foul language in the bar area in front of women and children, disgusting phone calls at 4.10 am and not stopping until gone 5. complained to reception. noisey drunken people in next room and in the corridor got 3 hours sleep - was totally disgusted with staff who let drunks into hotel

    "Everything was great, apart from the noise of the party which ruined it. Were a young couple, in our early twenties just finished university, and even we couldn't stand the noise not to mention your older guests." (107508983)

    room was lovely for the price.

    There was a party in the front of the hotel which we were not made aware of at the time of booking. We asked if there was any back facing rooms available upon arriving, which there was, but the receptionist said there wasn't any point in moving as the rooms were exactly the same. So we took the front facing room and were kept awake till late that night as they were doing sound checks. The next day we told a different receptionist about this problem and she said they had tried to put all the guests that wern't involved in the party in the back facing rooms. Why didn't they tell us this when there where rooms available on the first night. We spent the next night in our room listening to most ridiculously loud music that even drowned out the sound of our television. We were in Manchester buying a car and needed a good nights sleep because of the stress of it all. That's the only reason we needed the hotel room. I would have complained but we were very stressed and exhausted.
