    seafront location close to town centre, convenient for theatre, parking for guests. Lift for people who can't manage stairs

    some rooms contain the fire exits. Very hot in the breakfast dining area. Had a problem booking using the online system which let us book two nights then confirmation stated needed to stay minimum of three in summer months so had to ring the hotel anyway (we were able to stay for two).

    Overall standard was very good. The parking at the rear was excellent. The hotel location was first class in terms of everything in the town was within walking distance.Manager was very friendly and welcoming.

    Came back to hotel about 7pm on Sunday evening to find that dinner was not available. This may well be our own fault insofar as we simply presumed dinner would be available and did not ask for a booking. The seagulls and what they did to the car, but then this is hardly the hotel's fault.

    Beautiful hotel, were changed from the Shelborne to the Cae Mer and informed before arrival.

    Room felt messy (not dirty), I make my bed at home more neatly. We were in the disabled room which was a bit strange.

    "The only problem for us was the wi-fi. Which wasn't available as advertised. Which would be the only reason for us not returning to this hotel." (107347088)

    I found the staff very honest,, we left a wallet in our room and they rang us to let us know, and then posted the wallet on to us. Breakfast was very good.

    One of the main reasons for booking this hotel was the fact that wi-fi was available. But it wasn't, which did cause us a few problems.

    Location was great (right on sea front). Accepted pets and Toby (the dog) was offered a sausage for breakfast.

    The room wasn't particularly large or modern but fine for price paid.

    "On arrival we had to stand outside in the rain as the door was locked and the bell didn't work I had to phone to gain entry the one member of staff was serving meals in the cellar. It was more like an old peoples home with permanant elderly residents asleep in the lounge." (99214270)

    Hotel is pleasant and clean and good value for money. Staff are friendly. Bar prices are very reasonable. Breakfast was fine and served efficiently.

    The shower in our room (14) was of a type we have not used before and proved to be quite complex for us to operate - it took a deal of trial and error to get right - some instructions would be useful.

    Had a fire exit straight through into our room and if their was a fire the rest of the clients staying at the hotel would access the room we occupied as an exit!

    "The hotel booked online was full and we were contacted by phone to offer alternative accommodation at the Cae Mor - a newly refurbished hotel owned by the same people. Sea front location. Beautiful decor and very friendly staff. Very clean and luxurious. Will definitely return. Don't know if this review is useful as stayed at different hotel but we had a brilliant time." (3305163782)

    did not stay at the shelbourne as overbooked. Stayed at the sister hotel the Cae Mor which was fabulous. Fully recommend it!

    "A small personal hotel where nothing was to much trouble for the manager and his staff. The food was excellent...breakfast enormous and evening meal superb and great value for money. Much better than the bigger hotels where 'Victorian' means in need of decorating. The Shelbourne's rooms are modern and well-equiped.     only stayed for 1 night as i was taking my mum to the theatre which was just a couple of minutes walk, ideal location, we were very happy with our room, very clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the sea,staff very helpful, breakfast was lovely and wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

    The room was fairly small but had all equipment and was spotlessly clean + quiet. Breakfast was splendid.

    "This is the third time I have stayed. We initially booked the Shellbourne on recommendation from a work colleague. This stay we were allocated a self contained flat. It was superb. Quiet, spacious - perfect. We wish we would have stayed longer and will definately return. The manager made us very welcome. He was very helpful to our requests, ie where shops were within Llandudno and always made himself available if we needed anything. The hotel is very friendly and the staff are kind and helpful too. We had a very enjoyable weekend and felt safe (3 sisters on a serious shopping trip!)." (3304439665)

    Room was lovely especially the side sitting room with views over the bay. It was clean and compact.

    "When coming down for breakfast, albeit early, the 'manager' shock his head looking at his watch saying 'half past eight boys, I told you yesterday'. The breakfast comprised of some of the poorest quality food I've tasked. Nobody was at reception when I tried booking out. I went back down to the breakfast room to ask if I could check out. The waiter went to the door of the kitchen and said the gentleman would like to check out, to which he was answered by the manager ' I'm doing f....ing breakfasts. Tell him to wait!!'. The waiter was very embarrased and said somebody would be with me soon. The manager came up in about 10 mins. I accept the price was fair and reasonable and I was not expecting the Ritz, but a reasonable quality of food and courtesy isn't too much to ask. Over all a poor experience" (3304128189)

    "Very friendly. I was offered evening meal and when I was not keen on the offered main course I was immediately offered a wonderful alternative. Bothe the evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Car parking is not easy in Llandudno so the hotel's private car park was a real bonus." (3304126954)

    Friendly accommodating staff.

    No shower in room. Shower attachment provided did not fit onto taps in bath - making it difficult to wash hair (had to do so over sink). If you are female, ask for a room with a shower in advance.

    "We had a wonderful stay at the shelbourne. The food was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is right on the promenade which even in january was great for a walk by the sea at night. We were in srolling distance of the theatre as we were visiting for a concert.
