    Well mannered staff who were very helpful in every way as when I booked the room it was requested for 2 adults and 1 child but when I arrived it only had the 2 adults booked but luckly they transferred me to a larger room with extra bed facilities

    room was great, lovely breakfast, staff friendly, enjoyed the leisure facilities

    I had requested that our 2 rooms were close when I made the booking but we were allocated one room on the 2nd floor and one on the 8th. However they were changed when I pointed out my request on my booking. We waited 20 mins at the bar when we arrived back at the hotel after the concert we had been to but eventually came away without being served.

    centrally located, helpful staff, great breakfast and best cream tea served every afternoon, hotel arranged mini bus for guests to take to event and bring back, relaxing

    Apalling service in restaurant. Carvery is not what everyone wants but seems to be what the staff prefer you to have to save them any trouble serving you. 25 minutes to wait even before a drinks order is taken is just not good enough.

    Concierge and reception extremely helpful and friendly (concierge in particular who seemed most knowledgeable about local amenities, transport etc.). Waiting in staff in dining room also most attentive.

    The only bad points we experienced throughout our stay both inside and locally was at the hotel shop and we also found the kitchen very slow at dinner time and had to wait an excessively long time for our meal, although our waiter was most apologetic and helpful.

    Very helpful staff.Extremely clean.Beds were very comfortable.Liked the offer of 'things you've forgotten' the hotel can supply,nice touch.Good location and ease of taxi transport.Great Breakfast.Carvery good.

    Some noise from helicopters etc.Music in the bar was too loud,should really only be background music with such a mixed age group of clientelle.Bar food burger was pretty dire I have to say.Meet&greet person might be a good idea.

    Great hotel, great views, great value for money. Would definately go back.

    The room was not cleaned for arrival (i.e. dirty cups, bedlinen not changed). Hotel allocated us another room which was excellent, staff at hotel very apologetic.

    "My husband booked this as a birthday present for me, without my knowing, for an overnight stay when I went with my friends to see the Osmond's at the SECC next door (actually you don't have to go outside as it's joined by a corridor to the venue, excellent). He didn't realise when he booked that I was a Priority Club Member but I explained this to the receptionist and was able to claim my Reward Points for our stay. Excellent staff, hotel and facilities. Only improvement we could think of was an dedicated observation point from the 16th floor rather than just the Panoramic Lift and a window there." (97149779)

    we waited over 2 hours for room service on the saturday night, which in the end was complimentary, but the staff couldnt even be bothered to bring the drinks to the room, or apologise for the appalling service. this would be my one hesitation about staying at the hotel again.

    "Hotel is in superb location for event at SECC. Room was reasonable for one that has heavy use and was well prepared. Meal in the reastaurant was very good and staff were nice.     Loved the accommodiation. Everything I would expect a hotel room to be. Modern, clean & comfortable. Pleasant staff who explained things if required.

    The hotels situation and views

    The guests in the next room had children who were obviously staying in a separate room .They seemed to be going backwards and forwards all night and kept us awake.If there was one fault it would be the thinness of the walls

    "This was a suprise for someone and was a perfect end to a good night.She loved it and i want to thankyou for helping me make that happen.Also i thought the price was reasonable for what i thought was a quite upmarket looking room if you know what i mean.So i would say our stay was excellent."     The size was perfect,the room looked pretty new and clean.I had no hassle atall.The breakfast was excellant.Not having to checkout till 12.00 a major plus as it gave us time to chill and have breakfast and one of the reasons i booked you.

    Nothing really although £5 for car park raised my eyebrows a bit.

    The hotel is in an excellant location,staff were friendly and helpful. Both the evening meal and the breakfast were very good.

    Having to pay for the car park I think is a bit expensive at £5 for 24 hours. Parking should be free.

    "Arrived on Saturday 21/4/07 at 3.15pm to be advised room was not ready despite check in was after 2.00pm. This was our second similar problem with hotels in Glasgow and set things off on the wrong foot. To the credit of the staff things were resolved within 15 minutes and the remainder of the stay was faultless with frienly service by reception & breakfast staff. Would highly recommend if attending the SECC as there is a direct link to the hall. Not the cheapest hotel in the area but by far the best." (99910692)

    The hotel is so easy to find and ideal for visiting the SECC, having the linked walk way avoids the crowds too. The hotel looks so much nicer than other ones in the same area and the bedroom was really luxurious.

    "We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past when it was the Moat House adn always found it good value for money with excellent service and staff. This is the second time we have stayed here since it changed hands and the service was very poor both times. We were not allowed to check in 'til 4.30pm as the rooms weren't ready (we were not the only ones in this position). The reception staff were very unhelpful I was not asked if I wanted a newspaper or alarm call. My details were lost after my visa card was swiped which happened on both occasions. Overall this was a very poor stay for a hotel of this quality and the prices have risen significantly!!!" (99987587)

    "Excellent accommodation, great access to SECC. My friends daughter had a recurring problem of a dislocated knee during our stay and the staff were very helpful and made sure we got he necessary help.Would like to have known robes were provided but it was a nice surprise. Food very good.Would certainly recommend this hotel especially if attending an event at the SECC because of the easy access through the hotel." (99122765)
