    "Adequate for an overnight stay but not a longer visit" (108236358)

    Breakfast service was very quick although cooked breakfast could have been hotter. Within acceptable walking distance of Cambridge city centre

    Room far too hot - had to have window open all night in November - no way of adjusting the heating - even though radiator was off, pipes under the floor (including under the bed and in the bathroom) were continuously hot. Breakfast did not have much variety - no yoghurt or choice of bread eg buns/croissant. Bedroom door was not user friendly - closed before suitcases could be taken through. Shower facilities very poor - bath unsuitable for shower and supplied shower mat slipped on bath surface.

    Good value for money considering so close to Cambridge City Centre.

    Egg shells in my breakfast. No explanation of fish dish which came unexpectedly with fish bones and shells!

    Order and cleanliness of the hotel. Nearliness to the railway station and bus stop.Good and large beds. Kindness. Bidet in the bathroom!

    Bidet not in all bathrooms. The temperature a little cold in the lounge. Not so cheap .

    Convenient to where we were visiting.

    Cold bacon and deep fried sausages and mushrooms for breakfast. Very cramped bedrooms and dining room. Steep stairs to the dining room and bar in the basement Constant noise from main road directly outside the hotel.

    clean room, bed very comfortable although a little short for 6.2ft partner. On-site parking. Breakfast sufficient although limited choice and room was small and busy.

    Main road location meant traffic noise when windows were open but ok when shut. Room decor a little dated and made the room feel small. Only 1 bath and 1 hand towel for 2 people.

    Convenient to the train station

    Online booking automatically booked a room that was too small for a family of four. The staff were nasty and remained nasty during our stay. The internet service is weak to non-existent.

    It was noisy, at least in part because the window needed to be open because it was so hot. The mini-bathroom is completely inadequate.

    Clean,staff pleasant,would have been fine at 2/3 the price.

    Did not feel it was good value for money compared to other hotels in same price range-tho' appreciate Cambridge is pricey.Room was small and I would not have felt qualified as 'deluxe'.Breakfast was disappointing,limited options and coffee poor.We have stayed at another Cambridge hotel which was far superior and similarly priced (but full on these dates.)

    Bed was very comfy. Breakfast, unlike most hotels these days, was freshly cooked for each guest, and included in the room rate.

    Room was too hot when I first arrived - heating full on in May - but radiators were adjustable. Windows not double galzed even though room was on a busy street.

    Quaint and clean hotel an easy walking distance from the city centre. Good parking at rear also. Reception staff extremely helpful and friendly.

    The service in the restaurant was quite possible the WORST I have ever encountered. It took a long time for the waitress to take my colleague and I's breakfast and evening meal orders and the food then took too long to arrive. With an evening meal we each ordered at the same time one evening, it took 20mins to order (get the waitress's attention), and 45mins to arrive - and then my meal arrived 15mins prior to my colleague's, who had no otion but to sit and watch hungrily whilst I ate. When his meal did eventually arrive it was undercooked and had to be returned to the kitchen. The restaurant staff were far from apologetic and passed our experience off as being something we should expect from their A La Carte Menu. Quite frankly we didn't eat there again. Absolutely atrocious service. Put a real damper on our overall experience. We felt quite insulted. Also the restaurant was too small - you really felt crammed in and claustrophobic eating there. I don't think we will stay bed and breakfast again at the hotel on our next business trip to Cambridge.

    available at the last minute. good proximity to city centre

    depressing bar area. small room. Was over-priced for a 2 star hotel. Breakfast waitress seemed like she really didn't want to be there.

    Good location, nicely furnished clean room, 24 hr porter

    Arrived 3 minutes late for breakfast and they'd shut up kitchen, although they did managed to give us toast. Shower pretty old, generally felt like hotel could do with some updating.

    Very friendly and helpful staff.Hotel was quiet and had good, free, off-road parking

    Very very old fashioned,both in attitude and decor. Restaurant food overpriced and bad quality -coffee tasted like it was made from instant,yuk!- breakfast menu lacked imagination and was also poor quality.
