    "CONVENIENT FOR AIRPORT BUT A BASIC HOTEL" (108951362)

    SOME OF THE STAFF HAD A COULDNT CARE LESS ATTITIDE. THE STAFF IN RESTAURANT HAD DIFFICULTY IN UNDERSTANDING QUERIES ABOUT MENU AS ENGLISH WAS NOT THIER FIRST LANGUAGE.

    Clean and efficient front desk staff

    Restaurant had very slow service, and tip was added to bill, which I did not like at all, as the service was very poor.

    I was flying from Edinburgh early in the morning and did not receive my early morning wake up call. Luckily, I did wake up in time but was very dissapointed that my request had not been logged.

    Stay was for an early departure from Edinburgh Airport. The fact that parking for the duration of our trip was included in the room rate for the single night stay was a very good point.

    Check in and restuarant staff very helpful and pleasant.

    Check out receptionist was a bit on the grumpy side but it might have reflected the early departure.

    Muchos, resaltaría sobre todo su excelente situación en el centro de Edimburgo y muy cerca de la Royal Mile

    Por decir algo, los huéspedes que llegan por primera vez agradecerían que se señalizara el ascensor situado al fondo del pasillo de entrada. Así se evitaría el subir las escaleras

    Would have prefered a double bed rather than 2 single beds pushed together, we are a couple and we did book a double room

    Reception and restaurant staff extremely pleasant and helpful.

    The room I stayed in I believe was previously a smoking room and you could still smell smoke in the bathroom which as a non-smoker was not very pleasant.

    - convenient location with good airport access - good rates - good restaurant

    - staff not aware of the hotel's wireless services - I discovered the hotel Wi-Fi myself, contacted reception for service and was treated with impatience - questionable cleanliness of room (carpet and sheets) - poor sound insulation between rooms

    Excellent links to airport. Room nice and clean and well equipped.

    Could hear next door guest snoring during the night. Cost was high, in our opinion, especially as we had to leave early and could not take advantage of the full english breakfast!

    cleanliness and comfort of room. ease of booking and price. the older member of staff was a breath of fresh air - so polite and helpful - and spoke Scottish!!!!

    Cost of food and alcohol - you would sell more at a reasonable price - not cheap just reasonable. Too many foreign workers - poor English and rude.

    Secure parking, staff were welcoming, room was small but well furnished and equipped.

    Restaurant food was appalling, this has to be the worse meal i have had in 12years on the road. I wasn't the only one to complain on the night. The food is expensive so it should be good. I did get a refund on my main course as the starter was acceptable. Was it a bad night? i don't know.

    "We needed an overnight hotel close to the airport and this one satisfied that need. It was easy to find, had a good restaurant and a very helpful staff. They allowed us to turn in our rental car at their desk which made the whole experience smooth and easy." (107251849)

    I was ill during the night and the staff did everything they could to help. I really appreciated their care. Also this hotel is really close to the airport which is what we wanted and they were very great about getting us there quickly.

    Uncomfortable cot for our third person.

    Toilet in room didnt work. Room very cramped. Stale smell in corridor. Food in restaurant very overcooked. Breakfast not available early enough in the morning.

    "This is an excellent hotel for anyone flying in and out of Edinburgh.Tucked away behind the Ingliston Showground it is not easy to spot from the A8, but well signposted and served by a free bus service to and from the airport. We stayed on a Fly and Park tariff which was only " (97495470)

    Convenient to airport, relatively reasonable cost, good restaurant. Helpful staff.

    Advertised free wireless internet access in common areas. In fact, only high cost wireless was available. One hotel computer (wired connection) was available for customer use. Booking cost included breakfast, but flight too early to take it in restaurant. Only option was room service continental breakfast - "free" but high service charge added.

    "IT IS A MONEY MAKER BUT NO MONEY BEING SPENT IN THE RIGHT WAY A COMMON PROBLEM IN UK HOTELS. PAINTING AWAYS NEEDS TO BE LOOKING FRESH CARPETS IN WALKWAYS REPLACE OR REMOVE WITH HARD COVERINGS. THE LOCATION IS NOT IDEA. BUT YOU HAVE A GREAT STAFF JUST GIVE THEM A GREAT HOTEL. NEED TO ENTERTAIN OR INFORM YOUR GUESTS. YOU HAVE A LARGE SCREEN TV BUT THE SOUND IS TURNED DOWN SO POEPLE CAN SIT AND EAT AND DRINK FAIR ENOUGH, MOVE THE TV AND USE IT TO ADVERTISE YOUR HOTELS , EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND, WORK WITH THE TOURISED BOARD.     WAS CLEAN , STAFF BETTER THAN THE HOTEL BIT OF A MISS MATCH, SHUTTLE SERVICE TO AIRPORT GOOD, BREAKFAST VERY GOOD,

    WAS VERY NOISEY, CLOSE TO AIRPORT RUNWAY, NEXT DOOR TO SCOTTISH KENNEL CLUB WHEN EVENTS ARE ON AGAIN NOISEY EARLY IN THE MORNING, STAFF UNDER A BIT OF PRESSURE AS THE HOTEL WAS FULL. LIKE MOST HOTEL PLYING THERE TRADE NEED CONSTANT DECROTIVE UPKEEP WORK AND THE CARPETS IN THE HALLWAY ARE WELL PASSED THERE BEST AND THIS IS THE FIRST THING YOUR COSTOMERS SEE. WORK NEEDS TO BE GRASPED AND ACTIONED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE OUR IT WILL PAY A PRICE.
