    Cleanliness of room

    Rude staff who's attitudes were appauling, the lady who checked us in spoke to us like naughty children regarding the parking situation and the night staff ignored us when we greeted them with "Good evening"! Poor value for money Dirty plates left in dining room during most of breakfast

    "the following night we stayed at the big blue for an extra 4 pounds we had evening dinner included the standard was far superior having said that the chequers was ok but pricey for what it is. Again though i must say the staff were very pleasant. " (108901454)

    staff were very friendly and breakfast was good

    bedroom very small twin instead of double but that may have been my own fault at booking.

    Excellent staff who were very attentive and willing to help. Great checking with no fuss. Good, clean room with all the necessary facilities.

    This hotel is situated a good way from the main Blackpool facilities but to many, myself included, this is a good thing. It isn't a long walk or only a short tram ride along the front to the piers etc.

    nice tv in room and sea view, nice bathroom.

    ignored by staff in restaurant at breakfast, maids didn't understand english. no clean towels. bed was ancient and very uncomfortable.

    Room was clean, staff were friendly especially the house keeper! Bar and resturant area were clean

    Room was directly above the resturant/dining room and from about 7am music was playing and we felt it was rather loud. Lamp shade in our room was broke which affected the overall appearance of the room.

    The check out

    We was running the Marathon in Blackpool, found it appalling that we had to ask for the breakfast to be served a little earlier. As it stated 08.30 the run was starting at 09.00. For such a big event in Blackpool this is something your hotel should have considered. You were certainly not prepared for this type of event. The receptionist made several unnecessary comments when we asked for breakfast to be served a little earlier, i.e. most runners only want toast and coffee. As I have already ran 8 Marathons previously I think I would know that toast and coffee is not sufficent. Very unhelpful staff to say the least.

    Terrible view of a pigeon shack out of window backing on to other rooms and rooms were very small

    Bar staff were great.

    Food was very poor,sent 3 dishes back twice because they were cold both times.

    Hotel was really nice. Also night security was very chatty and helpfull

    receptionist was disorganised and gave us the wrong check-in forms. Also overcharged us for the rooms although this was rectified on departure

    This hotel has one of the best relaxed atmospheres that i have experienced in a long time, The staff are absolutely superb and I have allready booked again for Easter

    Clean and adequate for a short one night stay.

    No view what so ever. should this be pointed out at reception to avoid disappointment? In fact we drew the curtains so as not to be despressed looking at a brick wall. Had to speically ask for coffee at breakfast,and then only as one cup not a pot as we find is usual Tea was brought as routine, we were not asked what we would like.

    Good big bathroom. Could do with a handrail to get in and out of the bath Good television with excellent channel options.

    Did not have alcohol licence and was not mentioned when booking. Room a bit narrow

    There was no hot water in the morning for a shower.Not much of a solution offered and it didn`t work anyway. On checking out there was no record of our dinner the previous evening or any drinks we had had.Not sure whether the price was correct as we didn`t get a bill to be able to check. The restaurant service was passable however we had to constantly ask to haave our drinks replenished as no-one was working on the bar so we couldn`t get them personally.

    Staff were really helpful and friendly. Food was good and rooms were clean and tidy.Offer of a gym and pool pass to the Hilton was also a good point.

    clean room. good breakfast, some staff very friendly

    small stuffy rooms which looked out onto a brick wall. Electrics out of date. daughters room was very small with thick dust on lights and bathroom pipes. Restaurant window blinds were very dirty. Advertised with 24 hr bar, this is not true. not allowed to check in at designated time as rooms were not ready.

    staff initially friendly and helpful

    Room allocated was unsatisfactory due to suspicious stains on carpet and bedspread. Also seemed to be in cold annexe to main part of hotel. When complained we were quickly given an apology and adequate room.On check out one cleaning staff member was on the phone arguing with someone in the lobby, we had to wait as there was noone at desk although at least two staff were doing something else in office and the lady who checked us out was surly commenting I am trying my best after I pointed out I did noot want to pay for boyh my bill and that of someone else wjho was staying there with a simoilar name......
