    "The owner was friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Overall this was good value for money for a basic overnight stay with a simple breakfast." (108533842)

    The guest house was very clean. We were made very welcome. The room was a basic family room with a laminate floor. It had a small shower room en-suite, TV high on the wall and tea and coffee making equipment plus hairdryer. The space, for a double and single bed was a little cramped but beds were comfortable.

    convenience to Duxford airshow. very pleasant staff.

    poor shower. wash basin coming away from the wall. electric cables around the room connecting T.V., kettle and bedside lights to an extension lead which was plugged into an electrical socket.On busy road so a lot of traffic noise.

    The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the guest house was relaxed and informal. They offered a generous breakfast.

    The blind in my room was broken, so it was difficult to sleep. The single room was very small, but was comfortable.

    Flexibility to let me check in late. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed, clean, well looked after.

    Room was small and no bedside table to put glasses, alarm clock etc. or chair in the room. Heating controls had been removed

    The hotel was clean and warm and staff were friendly. breakfast was good.

    The advertised internet connection did not work. The sink had no plug and taps were loose. There was no separate chair.

    Very pleasant lady who met us and also served breakfast. Let us check in early as we were going to a wedding.

    Ground floor room smelt musty (damp round the window). Toilet / shower room door could not be closed. Taps on sink loose - no plug. Shower drain partly blocked. Generally room needed a bit of a makeover - a small amount of DIY attention would have made a big difference

    Only that the lights illuminating the hotel sign were shedding light into the room.

    Staff very friendly

    No light in space between shower and toilet making the toilet dark. We did ask for a bulb to be fixed and although we were told it would be replaced it wasn't.

    "One thing we would particularly have liked to have known prior to our stay was that the buses which serve the area stop at around 6.30pm on Sunday and also that the first bus on Sun am is 10.28am which meant we were unable to get into centre of town for King's College service at 10.30am."     Bedroom was clean - nice white towels changed frequently. Quiet.

    The room was very small. There was noone to greet us on arrival and when I phoned the number of the guest house was told that the key was under the mat.

    1. Staff were prompt in service. 2. Location was convenient. Dinning room was nice.

    1. We arrived late at about 2100 hours, but there was no staff available with the main door locked, I was lucky that a walk-in customer had a mobile phone and called the hotel, still it took ages for somebody to answer. We were lucky to find out that the main door key was kept under the carpet, otherwise our family would have become "homeless". 2. We could not switch on the bathroom light, we could only solve the problem the next day, is it better to keep a short note for new user, so that we would not have to use the bathroom in darkness.

    Breakfast was good

    Very very small room; Direct on a busy roundabout making ventilation a problem; Taps on wash-bowel,which is in bed-room, loose; Ventilator in tiny shower-room clogged, loose and vibrating loudly; No cupboard; Painting in room partly unfinished and in other places covered fittings; Shower-room unfinished with drainage pipes showing; At night Illumination of a sign glaring directly in our window; TV control unserviceable

    Quite expensive for very, very basic accommodation. No cereals, fruit etc offered at breakfast - would be expected at this price. Very basic tea and coffee provisions in room.

    Flexibility about leaving bag before check in and picking it up after check out. Wifi internet access useful.

    Very noisy hard to get sleep, the tv didnt work the front dorr did not open very well, and there were random people knocking on our window at night, and there was a lamp right outside the window so it seems like day time at 1am in the morning again making it hard to gte a good nights sleep.

    Woman who runs the place was very nice. Breakfast was adequate.

    In the flight path of the airport so noisey. Could hear other people coming and going all night and into the early hours of the morning. The toilet ran the entire time. By far though, the worst part was the SMELL. The smell of mildew permeated the entire room and our clothing smelled even after we departed.

    friendly, clean, good comfy bed, breakfast very good,

    only minor points that bedside lamp not working, took a while for somebody to hear us knocking on the door when first arrived. Not enough milk left in room.

    Friendly when had to arrive very late because of long detour due to accident closure a14. Very convenient hospital where working

    Very small room, bed right up against radiator which couldn't turn off, mattress very thin/hard. Asked if could have slight price reduction/ packed breakfast as had leave for work before set break, time. Just got bowl cereal/ carton juice in room - feel a meusli bar, fruit etc might have been more equivalent to cost cooked breakfast!!

    "stay was quiet pleasant, it was pretty clean, breakfast quiet good but no sausage with full english, plenty toast/hot drinks staff seamed pretty friendly, not a bad place for a nights stay, not bad value for money, could not complain for what it was a good stay all in all would stay somewhere more classy though, if we were staying longer in area, & would say its not 3* as it says on the front of the guesthouse more like 2" (97568378)

    quiet a good postion for city centre, bus stop over road buses every 10 mins day 30 mins night, staff were friendly, room seamed pretty clean, clean sheets, breakfast pretty good, not a bad place for a night or maybe 2 but would stay somewhere more classy if staying in area longer, good for what it is & not bad value for money

    abit hard to find the guesthouse, dont think as close to station or town as stated
