    I felt it was good value for money, staff were friendly and everything was straight forward

    The only thing was that someone put a bottle under the wheel of my car which I ran over the next day without knowing which shattered everywhere but fortunately there was no puncture/injuries. Slight security issue but nothing major to worry about in this case.

    liked the hotel

    staff unhelpfull kept waiting at reception to check in, staff pointed in direction to go when making enquiries instead of showing good customer service and showing me where tio find the restaurant etc.

    Pleasant helpfull staff & nice room. Would visit again without hesitation.

    The on-line booking did not make it clear that the room was not actualy paid for at the time of booking, despite card details being taken. They should either take the payment with the booking or not take the card details unnecessarily.

    Really nice hotel dining room nice and large and bedroom was just right.

    We were on the third floor, which was ok, but it felt a bit like finding our way around a maze to get to the room.

    Very helpful and pleasant staff,Gloria was particularly pleasant and helpful. Very comfortable room, clean, house keeping very good, good pool. Good selection on menu,on the second evening we had an excellent meal. Breakfast buffet and hot selection well presented and well cooked. The purpose of my stay was to give my 83 year old mother a little holiday, and she found the hotel very good. Ideal situation for visiting neighbouring towns and tourist attractions.

    Tiles around the Pool area looked grubby, meals not so good on first and third night. Short staffed on third night which meant there was no one to attend the bar intil six. The outside of the hotel very plain, with no where to sit out if the weather was fine which meant we went over the road to the cavery to sit in the garden rather than indoors at the hotel.

    Staff were excellent, cooked breakfast brilliant (I stay in hotels at least 2 days a week so am getting to be quite an expert!). Dinner pretty good.

    We booked three rooms, ans in all three had problems with the shower. You set your temperature, but within minutes (when another room turned on their shower??) you were in danger of being scalded (dangerously do) or freezing. I was lucky, I got the cold water. One of my friends burnt her foot.

    There are two VERY good people who work there. Phillip was one, as well as one of the overnight clerks. They were very friendly and helpful and really did an excellent job seeing to our needs.

    First day had to wait over 4 hours and call repeatedly just for blankets and towels. I also asked for a wake-up call for my last stay there. The female clerk wrote down my information but never advised the overnight staff of the need. Depending on whom I asked for an item, there was either an immediate action or hours of waiting and then calling to ask about status.

    Very professional receptionist checked us in and out - absolutely a cut above all the rest of the staff. Room was clean and the standards of the fittings and furnishings in there was good. The dining room was also nicely decorated. Service at the bar was quick even though it was busy.

    The food was terrible, badly cooked and thrown together. The waitress was nice but had no idea what to do. When asked if a dish had a sauce she said no. We ordered a separate sauce because of this. The dish came swimming in gravy and then she brought the sauce boat too! One guest complained that their chips were still frozen in the middle. One dish was extremely spicy but this was not mentioned in the menu. There was no lift to the top floor and it was a long way through corridors to walk - particularly as we had a lot of luggage to carry. The corridors and lift were scruffy and some areas were very dusty and sticky looking (as if they had not been cleaned for a long time).

    the staff were grumpy did not smile and we were made to feel like we were an inconvienance in the resturant ,the food was poor , and the breakfast buffet was half empty and when we asked for the items it was a lot of trouble for them to get it .

    We booked 2 rooms, one room from 31 Jan to the 5 ob Feb, and one room from the 1st to the 3 of Feb, Check in on the first room was fine, except that I was put in a smoking room but they were more than happy to move me to a non smoking room. When my colleague checked in on Friday, reception said that the room wasn't booked even though I presented her with the booking confirmation. Luckily I was moved from the smoking room which only had 1 double bed to the non smoking room which had 2 beds the night before.

    "After checking our bags into the room first given we had to rush out to a prearranged event and only noticed the condition of the room on our return late the same night. Rather than start loooking to move rooms at the late hour we spoke to the duty manager the following morning. She immediately showed us a new room which was to the standard of what we had come to expect from the hotel. When we checked out there had also been a reduction made in the tarriff to compensate for the 1st night." (97045596)

    The staff were always friendly and helpful and the rooms have all the extra facilities you expect.When we did experience a problem the duty manager did all in her power to sort it out.

    When we arrived and asked for our smoking room we were given a room which was not up to the usual standard of cleanliness or decor.

    "The room was nice and tidy and loved the tv. But was really dark, Bedding was lovely and clean. But the bathroom gave the whole room a tired look. The sanitaryware was so dated and made it feel really small and dirty and the toilet seat hinges were broken. But there were small uncessary extras (like cotton wool balls). If you put white tiles and a white suite in it would change it completely" (97409367)

    The Staff Service was excellent throughout from reception to restaurant and checkout. The restaurant was particularly good value with quick service and the quality of evening meal on of the best I have experienced on business stays.

    I would not book again without WIFI in the room. The web info is misleaing in indicating internet access when it is only dial up and no lead was provided. Nobody uses dialup nowdays and most people would not carry a lead. Although clean the room badly needed redecorating and updating

    It was close to my office and the food was good but very expensive. The staff was friendly

    The outside windows were dirty. The bathroom was smelly. It could all do with some rennovation. The room was noisy- I couldnt get any sleep as you could banging from upstairs.

    "This hotel fitted our location requirements, and as we will having our staff working in this area for the next 18 months we had hoped to have found a single hotel to place our staff in. Our staff will on occasion need to have breakfast before leaving, we liked the time that this was served from, we were disapponted in the " (99928554)

    Location

    As with any traveller the main purpose is to have a good nights sleep, however in this case the bed was obviously very old with springs that prevented any form of restful sleep. Mould on windows and bath seals. Tea and coffee making facility had no milk.

    Good sized room.. nice and clean ... comfy bed .. good coffee making facilites.

    Bathroom could do with a refit ... looked dated. Chambermaid called at 8:52 to clean room, which I thought was a bit early especially on a Saturday morning and we were only booked in for one night. Checkout was 11am !!

    Although only a one night stay the double room my wife and I had was well presented. It had enough well designed bedroom furniture which would easily support a longer stay. The hotel staff were friendly and most helpful in providing us with some useful local information. The room for my 2 teenage sons although somewhat small in comparision to our room they found the facilities suitbale for there needs. If we were staying longer I would like to see a fridge supplied in the room. All in all it was a most pleasant stay and I would gladly use the hotel again when we visit our friends in Brownhill West

    The weather was very hot and I think the least that could happen is that the windows could have been opened - we were on the 2nd floor so no problem with intruders. The room was extremely stuffy and hot - and noisy despite asking for a quiet room

    "Good hotel. Willing staff, always ready to be helpful. Prompt service in restaurant and the food was very good indeed. Good wine list. Minor point, and it cost the hotel, not me. Restaurant staff on one night - all very friendly - just did not listen or take full notice of my order. It cost them a full bottle of wine because I ordered a half. Then I ordered a double espresso and was given ordinary black. Tried to charge me for the espresso too!!" (3304825619)

    Clean and well serviced. Often do not find 'clean' ensuites these days, but spotless here. Fair sized room. Area to work.

    Room was above where the lift finished! And my knees are old!
