    nice room, good food and location

    not a good car park and a bit tricky to get out of - could do with having spaces marked out properly to be honest

    The room service was particularly good. I'm not always fond of eating alone in restaurants so this was a delicious surprise! The newly refurbished areas of the hotel are lovely

    The breakfast service in the restaurant seemed quite chaotic and slow. The food was lovely but the staff were slow to offer tea and coffee and didn't seem to be keeping track of who had they had seated first

    Excellent rate and location. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was delicious! Quirky rooms.

    Carpet was stained. Peaceful stay but could hear other guests quite easily.

    Accomodation was superb. We had a reunion and booked 4 executive doubles and the other three couples were just as pleased as we were.

    Only slight problem was that the hotel was obviously fully booked and everybody seemed to want to eat breakfast at the same time which meant some of the party had to eat in another room.

    "Lovely, apart from the fire alarm debacle." (108339206)

    unfortunately a fire alarm went off at 1am during our one night stay (3rd oct) and there was no information re assembly point in our room (2001). Consequently like many other guests we went to the rear car park, only to be moved back through the potentially unsafe hotel to the front of the building. I thought it was a legal requirement to have fire information in a hotel room.

    bathroom superb, executive room deal very appealing (robe, toiletries and wine), good value for money, a competitor for the Hotel du Vin

    One of the receptionists at check-in started to deal with us then with the (6person) party behind us before we'd finished - rather rude. Only a minor point though,overall very good, and less pompous than,say,HdV/Malmaison

    We stayed at the Kimberley last year (3 rooms) and returned this year (again 3 rooms) because we were impressed with the efficient & friendly staff, the overall quality of accommodation and the excellent location. As a result of the recent refurbishment the overall quality of the facilities has improved significantly (the new rooms are truly excellent) and the quality of the staff remains high.

    Beautifully finished rooms and en-suites, very comfortable.

    Very confusing layout as there are 2 seperate parts to the hotel, which are not logical. We got lost trying to find our room, and this was very frustrating. Poorly signposted.

    The Kimberley hotel was very nice and my stay in the delux suite in the hotel was very nice, the room was spec'd out to a very high quality. Nice to see the hotel busy and progressing from my stay 1 year ago

    bad points 1)No parking!! front now a table area, rear had no organisational lines so people were parked a good 1-2 metres apart just because they could making the parking very annoying as you could have got alot more cars within the parking area......2)the sheets and pillows smelt awful of cholorine making it unpleasent to relax due to the smell....3)tried calling '5000' to get to front desk after trying for 20mins finally answered....4)no instructions or number to call for room service so i had to make the '5000' call again to no avail....5) luxury suite door was glass see through, no matter how much you are a couple some things you dont want to share!..7) no clear signs for breakfast/dinner room, no clear signs for suites in the luxury part of the hotel....all in all not a very happy stay....not what you expect for paying that price!!!

    Too hot in the rooms. Water scalding in the washbasins need warnings Bathroom in 1004 had rotten floorboards and a gash in the bath

    Staff friendly, room clean and very comfortable. Loved the fresh coffee and biscuits in room. Great to have info sheet posted under door with weather and events in Harrogate, staff on duty etc.

    Room 2102 floor grouting in bathroom nearly all missing, thats a basic poor maintenance standard. Had eaten breakfast before we had been offered tea / coffee toast, and then we had to go look for some one to get it. Could do with more TV channels, even if only radio

    Room excellent and close proximity to Harrogate town centre.

    Room was not available when we tried to check in at 2.30pm (said you could check in from 2pm) we eventually got our room at 3.45pm!

    "This hotel was excellent throughout a very high standard of service by all staff made our stay welcoming. Although the hotel has an award winning restauraunt we did not use this facility.     I really appreciated the nice pillows and the little touches like the teddy bear and mints. The decor was very nice and I was surprised my single room had a full size bed.

    My one wish was that the room had a clock in it. Also when I signed in I requested a wake-up call every morning, but I only got it the first day. I didn't miss anything because of it however, so it was a minor point.

    Room lovely and clean, nice size, welcome wine,chocholates and Teddy bear a lovely touch

    Booked a table for two in the adjoining Terrace Restaurant and received confirmation e mail booking. When we re-checked at reception upon arrival the restaurant said we had not booked and were not very helpful, the Hotel receptionist was trying to get a table for 8pm (the time we booked) they were being difficult saying 7pm , eventually the Receptionist almost had to get angry and say "look here." In any event we had our table and the restaurant had quite a few empty tables so I dont know what the fuss was. The food was lovely as was the service, just a bit annoyed I had a confirmation e mail booking and they denied it!
