    Lovely Hotel

    "Most enjoyable, I booked the room before looking at the reviews. I am so glad, I may have been inclined not to go ahead! The hotel was very satisfactory and my on line requests were also met. Very good and will recommend the hotel to friends" (107315849)

    Staff helpful, food good standard, room as requested, leisure facilities very good

    Room had basic cleanliness, but a closer look revealed underside of soap dish and wash basin had not been cleaned in a long time, also cobweb on bedside lamp.

    The hotel was used only as a base for visiting relatives, so contact with the hotel was minimal. The breakfast was reasonable.

    The booking was made following the advertisement of a deal on the internet- around half-price. To be frank, the room, which was an annex room, accessible only by walking through the car park, would not have been value at full-price. No fridge in the room. My view is that this should be standard for hotels whose full rate is in excess of £100 a night.

    We asked for a twin room near reception but given a double room on 3rd floor which we reached via two lifts plus a flight of stairs.Directions are not clear but as we have stayed there on several occasions we have now got used to the sytem. However, we did have to help some guests locate their room. Room was slightly smaller than we are used to and there was paper on floor when we arrived which made us feel that the room had not been adequately cleaned.We also feel that the bathroom ceiling was in dire need of redecorating.

    "Having just stayed in the Ramada Encore in Crewe where we got free Internet & Wi-Fi connection we were disappointed to find that this hotel charged £6 per hour or £12 per day for the same thing and the room was £20 dearer. We also felt that this was what we would call a 'tired' hotel in looks and decor." (107331082)

    Staff helpful.

    Bathroom wasn't clean enough. The room smelt damp and was cold when we arrived but once we put the radiator on it was OK. Breakfast hours not long enough. Expensive.

    great pool and fantastic breakfast, food very good quality

    stayed two nights and in middle night room cleaning had alot to be desired basic only bed made and cups cleaned, we left towel in bath and no new was given! crumbs from biscuit left on bedside table and floor not hoovered. 1st night in bar food order wrong but helpful staff member, not great value on bar snacks

    "This hotel is desparately in need of serious investment - in terms of refurbishment and new layout. I am suprised it remains within the Ramada portfolio in its current state.By today standards it cannot be described as 'spa/resort' as it markets itself.     Quality of Breakfast

    The 'journey' to bedroom is more difficult than the maze at Hampton court.The lift on the 1st floor to the bedrooms is an utter waste of time.(requires another 1/2 mile walk) The 'Sebation Coe' fitness suite is a discredit to his name.The equipment was poorly maintained/outdated and in some cases not working at all. Rising damp in certain area of ground floor (on close inspection)

    "we paid £69 per night with the active hotel offer which was still a lot for the hotel considering the terrible layout. Definately not worth the full price. Breakfast is expensive at £15.50 per person... not worth it. Nice cafes not far from the hotel and better priced. It is an average 3 star hotel and its price should reflect it.     Terrible layout of the hotel... long walk to get to rooms. No iron in the room, but have to find the ironing room which was not particularly near our room

    "generally an enjoyable experience although as it was only one night we did not use any of the leisure facilities in the hotel The staff were polite and helpful at all times the choice at breakfast excelant We came away satisfised and would not hesitate to use Ramada again our only complaint the noise early morning from the room next door We also found out as we were leaving we could have taken our dog with us although this was not an issue it would be a useful thing to put on the web as this was how I booked" (97961956)

    The only thing that marred our stay was the noise from the family staying in the next room in the early hours of the morning

    "Its difficult to find your away around the hotel, if you have luggage you must expect steps as lifts dont go straight to your floor. Everything smells of smoke, corridors and room. Internet access was ok. £20 for a package of internet and movies for 24hrs which covered me for both days. Breakfast was buffet style and was good." (97250214)

    Really long walk on different levels to get to your room, not great with luggage,(no help offered) Room was very smelly, radiators were very noisey (like running tap. Bathroom could of been cleaner. Room was very dated.

    "It proved to be an expensive room for its 3 star rating. It is not an ideal hotel for the disabled as there are many ramps, steps and slopes to navigate. There didn't seem to be one lift that traveled from bottom to top floor as I was required to change lifts to get to my room. The room was comfortable but quite small. Food was good but rather expensive which left me with little choice only to eat in the hotel as it was quite a walk from the hotel to find a resturart in the local area. This hotel would not be my first choice when I am in the area next time." (97264469)

    The layout of the hotel was complicated with many small corridors running in different directions.

    Rooms are now starting to need a upgrade. Rooms could be cleaner & they need to be checked for equipment that is not working orrectly.

    Equipment not working to a standart you would expect from a hotel of this standard.

    The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient.

    Room seemed tired and dated. Decor in the bathroom was old, and the windows rattled and looked dated and past their best. New Tv but the remote had flat batteries and would not work. Floorboards were so noisy, every time someone got up, all were awake.

    the bed was clean and comfortable. general presantation of the room was ok.

    the bathroom was dirty, it looked like someone had already used it. Hair every where,the loo urine stains every where, the carpet was dirty. cobwebs on the ceiling in the bedroom,bathroom ceiling stained needs painting.

    "Check in process was good, but a very tortuous and roundabout route to the room. Room was ok but bathroom was poor - taps were on the verge of braking and the toilet on the day of departure did actually start leaking. Front desk staff were good as were the breakfast staff however bar staff didn't seem very organised and were inattentive and to be honest a little shambolic at times." (97941888)

    The bar was great, very friendly staff

    The bin men coming at 5am in the morning to empty the loudest bins (about 5 of them). Ruined the nights sleep for me!

    Comfortable and clean room with everything we needed. Tea/coffee and water all good to have to hand. The facilities in the ajoining leisure centre looked great but we did not have time to use them.

    one of the lower jets in the shower did not work.

    We were given room 251 with a balcony, clean,tranquil, very comfortable,and we much appreciated the fresh air from the balcony doors. but why does it take two lifts??

    Two lifts and a long walk between them, difficult if you have heavy luggage.

    the tv was good. some staff were good.

    -asked for none feather pillows ours were taken away and none left in place - had to ring for room service when got in late and feather pillows were returned. fire alarm kept going off - there was a fault. fire alarm was tested at 8.30 in morning- ridiculous. breakfast was unappealing. the staff were unhelpful and unfriendly when trying to get information about the fire alarm situation.
