    "The hotel was only a small walk away from the town, on a quiet road next to a park with a view of the sea. What more could you ask for. The only downside was the weather, but what can you do about that, even then suggestion were made from the owners of the hotel of the best local places to go during wet weather." (97732024)

    "I only needed accommodation for one night and this hotel met my needs on that occasion well except for the uncomfortable mattress.It would have been useful to have known in advance that access to the road where the hotel is is via very narrow and steep lanes." (97317664)

    Friendly and helpful on arrival and throughout stay. Tasty breakfast promptly served. Clean, warm and well equipped room. Parking space - not easy in Paignton! Very pleasant outlook both from bedroom and dining room.

    Bed was warm and clean but I found the mattress painfully uncomfortable due to protruding springs.

    "We were very impressed all round with the hotel. The family running it were friendly and helpful. The hotel overlooks a park complete with lake, cafe and children's activities and is only a few minutes walk from the prom. It is well-placed for tourist attractions while being on a quiet street.     Room was very clean, good beds. Quiet part of town for the most part.

    Am more used to chain hotels which are a little more impersonal. Once you've checked in, thats the end of the interactions with staff. This was very interactive, and am not used to the long list of rules displayed in the room. Parking availability limited.

    "Very nice place, and directions were very easy to follow. On first impression i didn't like the small road leading to the hotel, but at the other side there is a much wider one (so that's no problems). Very clean, but i'd expect nothing less to be honest; and the staff were helpful and you could have a chat. To put it quickly, they had time for me. There is ample parking around the back, and ample at the front. The front parking can be hard to get a space, as there's a number of hotels, and day trippers etc. I had no choice but to park at the front, as my car would not get onto the back drive without ripping off my bumper (It's not a lowered car just standard Alfa 156). I enjoyed the stay, and will definately go there again." (3304914213)

    Very friendly owners, close to the beech, close enough to the town to walk to, but not to close so that it's noisy near the hotel.

    "The accomodation was clean and pleasant and the staff were friendly. The hotel is very close to the sea and faces a park. However, the directions to get there were difficult to follow, especially if you were travelling from the west; the rooms were very small; there were no proper towel rails in the bathrooms (except above the toilet); breakfast-serving time interval was very short."     "what floor the room was on considering we went as a couple the room was lost for space as we had a double bed in the room and bunk beds with a put me up not up but folded up at the end of the bunk beds.But the staff where very polite and helpfull" (3304959862)

    Have food available for guests arriving during afternoon set out bedrooms better. larger beds and duvets. Tv set that has decent reception.

    "Personally, there was nothing wrong with the hotel. there were steep slopes into paignton which we found hard on the legs, myself suffered in the past with a stroke and my wife has had a broken ankle. we still find slopes a bit tiring. But we still enjoyed the stay at the Rowcroft Hotel and would return there again." (2574103)

    "Hotel is very well situated for Goodrington Sands beach, just a short, easy stroll away across a very nice park. Paignton town centre is also reachable on foot. The only challenge might be parking, we were lucky and always got some close-by but that might not always be possible." (2297026)

    "Lots of things for children to do very close by, ie. Steam railway, boating lake, wildlife walk. People with children always worry about food, there is a Brewers Fayre just across the park and kiosks selling food right on the beach. Most important of all there are public toilets locally."     Great location, near to both beach and town. Parking outside or very close. Friendly and relaxed attitude to guests.

    Only one thing, the pillows in our room were very hard!!! Time maybe for a softer option.
