    "Very good, nice quite peaceful hotel, room, in an excellent location. " (107374146)

    Restaurant staff very helpful and accommodating, excellent breakfast, vegetarians catered for. Evening meal throughly enjoyable, I could not make my mind up on dessert so the waitress said I can give you a portion of each, nice touch.

    Clean and tidy but very old fashioned

    Staff friendly and well organised. Lovely location. Excellent cuisine. Good breakfast.

    The hotel could do with a total redecoration. £10 extra for full breakfast was rather steep.

    A wonderful hotel with real character, staff were helpful throughout our stay. We will definitely be visiting again.

    Friendly staff, excellent location.

    "We enjoyed our stay great position for Sheringham and Cromer. The homemade Steak and kidney pie was first class best I have tasted. Roast beef day was a little tough ,however all other meals and drinks taken excellent. " (107118653)

    The menu and meals were excellent value and Bar prices matched any competition the staff were knowledgable and efficient. We stayed in room 25,4 poster bedroom The decore matched the style of the hotel ,not a modern style but a traditional feel and it met our needs ensuite clean and tidy. It was great to have a seat out side the room on the covered walkway that overlooked the garden

    Could of done with a spare pillow in the wardrobe,and the two armchairs could do with refurbishing soon.

    Easy going atmosphere. Excellent dinner waiter.

    Tired decor. Smelt musty and "doggy" - presumably because hotel does allow dogs! Bedspread soiled with what looked like food remnants in one corner.

    "Some of the accommodation and furnishings is/are a little 'tired' , but for what we wanted, it was clean, comfortable, and friendly. The staff were good, the food was good, we would certainly go there again. The hotel has character, unlike the motel we spent the previous 3 nights at." (97441548)

    The bedroom was a good size

    The towels were frayed, the bathroom was very dated as was the whole hotel, it looked as though no money had been spent on it for 30 years, the plumbing went round the tops of the walls and down the walls!

    Excellent food, large room with some lovely antique furniture (much nicer than standard hotel 'formica', Friendly staff, owners and dogs!!

    "The bedroom was somewhat shabby and had seen better days and perhaps did not compare favourably with corporate hotels. However, the beds were very comfortable and the linen spotless with towels changed daily. The public rooms and lounges were comfortable and the dining room was well laid out with beautifully laundered linen. The cooked breakfasts were some of the best we have had." (99035882)

    The location was very scenic and the hotel staff were extremely friendly. I also enjoyed the wide choice of breakfasts as I am getting a little bit bored of fry-ups!

    I would of preferred a shower in my room

    Good location. Useful interconnecting family room

    Welcome was very poor. Bathroom was 18th century - rest of the room 19th century. Breakfast was expensive.

    "Yes the hotel could do with a refurb., but it was friendly, the service was good and food excellent. Have stayed in many 'up to date' hotels but they are clinical with no atmosphere - depends on your priorities! The local area is lovely and traditional." (99203531)

    "The entire hotel is quite run down (rustic I guess). The room it's self was of a reasonable size but very poorly furnished. This must be where the furniture left at the end of a household auction goes. The kettle had to stand on the floor to be plugged in. The room wasn't very clean. There didn't appear to be a smoke detector in the room. The bathroom switch string was black, the extractor van filthy and the enamel had worn off the bath with years of use. Even the TV was so old it could recieve Dr. Who, series 1, live. " (99219611)

    Reasonable large room.

    Ridiculous furnished with any old rubbish and grubby.

    "positive things about this hotel are its good location,the room is heated well and staff are generally curteous. the breakfast was also good . However it is expensive for the standard of room you get and doesn't offer value for money. the rooms are disappoiinting with tired, old furniture that makes the stay uncomfortable e.g bed is old and very creaky."     it is in a good location by the beach. breakfast is good.

    for the price paid we would have expected a far superior room. the hotel is in dire need of a makeover. the room was disappointing as we paid more than other hotels in the area . the bed squeaked loudly with every movement and desperately needed replacing, and the decor was very dated.
