    "Poor not value for money" (108205893)

    Location was convenient

    There was no cold water in the basin room 22, a bottle was produced, which did not really help. BBC 1 did not work. The cooked breakfast was not available until 8am on Sunday so one of our party had to miss it due to an appointment, the other two people were ignored when trying to get breakfast and the blackpudding had to be requested separately even though the full cooked breakfast was ordered.

    "We refused to stay, We got out of bed at midnight, left and drove home a total of 247 miles! Arriving back in Wales at 03:20. VERY UPSET WITH THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. I will never again stay in a Best Western hotel!" (107364147)

    The bed was perhaps the MOST uncomfortable bed ever manufactured. The bed linen, although clean, had been laundered in something that made you skin very itchy! The hotel was extremely noisy with regard to loud music being played in the Bar

    The quality of the evening meal was Excellent as was the service.

    Arrived for breakfast at 09:35 and advised that the breakfast Chef had gone home and could only have cereals. Appreciate that i was 5 mins late but some flexibilty would have been nice. However the person working the floor was kind enough to get me some smoked Salmon & toast which was enjoyable and appreciated. I booked a double Executive room and was given a twin room which was also not very Excutive. £15 was removed from my bill for this but i would have preferred to have been given the accodation that i booked.

    "Overall, the hotel was adequate for our requirements. We would consider staying there again under similar circumstances i.e. for visiting family over the holidays when we just needed somewhere clean and quiet to sleep within walking distance of the city." (107389201)

    Room was comfortable and reasonably quiet. Breakfast was good with a reasonable choice, the cooked food was hot and well presented. Ample parking and easy to find.

    Bathroom needs a power shower, as the water pressure was virtually non existent. Very disappointing. Television needs replacing with a modern digital set to provide acceptable picture quality.

    The Bar kept good hours and the barman was very accommodating

    The fact that we were sent to a room that hadnt been serviced, the attitude of the reception staff,the overall cleanliness of the hotel,and the stale smell throughout the building.

    "Probably would liked to have been asked if able to cope with narrow, steep, stairs. As it happens, was no problem. Otherwise thought room clean,airy and comfortable if a little quaint." (99960691)

    Clean,comfortable and private.

    Room was in attic right at top of very steep, narrow stairs. If had been older or disabled, there is no way would have been able to cope. Also, passage to bathroom in the room was narrow and had large gap where some steps went down. Could have been dangerous for someone getting up in the night to use the toilet. (Room 211)

    "I would have like to have known that there were no smoking rooms here,as along with 25% of the population, we are smokers. The room was generally very tidy, but had a lot of cobwebs on the curtains and across the ceiling" (97223538)

    "We arrived early evening after a long drive. The hotel was easy to find from the instructions on the booking slip.The hotel is located just outside of the Norwich inner ring road in a mainly residential area of older and well maintained buildings. Parking was adequate and close to the hotel. The reception was friendly and most helpful; especially concerning knowledge of the local area. The food was excellent and not overpriced. Food was served up by cheerful and efficient staff who coped especially well under pressure." (97945404)

    The room was only just big enough to fit the bed in. The matrass was so soft and sagging you felt as if you were on the floor, but woke with terrible back pain. The other guests were noisy, elephants walking to their rooms shouting instead of talking.

    Close to city centre. Clean room. Good breakfast.

    "Overall the hotel was clean and pleasent. The location is nice and reasonably quiet. The staff were helpful, some more so than others. The room that we were in didn't have air conditioning which would have been nice as the weather was hot during our stay. We found the breakfast times a little on the late side at the weekend and where we have found that some hotels in the past have been a litle more flexible, some of the staff gave the impression that they were unwilling to enquire whether it could be brought forward by a half hour or so. However on the last day of our stay, one staff member in particular went out of their way to accomadate us in providing an earlier breakfast which greatly appreciated." (2745953)

    "Checked in with no greeting, no milk and no coffee in room. Asked if all rooms smelt of damp and where dirty and he said all rooms are the same. No apologies for the state of it. In the morning waited 15 minutes to be asked what i wanted to eat and then when i asked for butter was given a half used butter dish from someone elses table! An utter disgrace." (3304801866)

    "the staff were very pleasant and efficient. Food in the restaurant was excellent and good value. Room was good although once a cot was installed, there was not a lot of room to move around hence my view that the room was a little on the expensive side.     "I am 81 years old and so I am old fashioned but, I felt the evening meals were rather pretentious.e.g something on a bed of couscous and vegetables Al Dente (which for me means half cooked ) also every night there was something which I presume was a vegetarian dish but I could not understand a word of it.It would have been nice to have had at least one basic choice such as roast meat an two veg."
