    Hotel looked dated and very much in need of refurbishment. Carpets were stained and had hair balls from previous in habitants in the room. Overall poor experience - the basics are enough when they are clean, looks like back to travelodge next time.

    "Despite the above,for my second night(Sunday) I appeared to be the only guest and any traffic failed to penetrate my deep sleep. Staff were very pleasant,breakfast substantial ,location convenient." (108539507)

    My room overlooked the main road and late at night the constant traffic made sleep difficult. in addition the sound insulation in the hotel is minimal. Every noise seems to penetrate especially the early hours return of a couple in the next room who were noisy, especially when rutting. I missed a night's sleep.

    Position of hotel very good and staff helpful and friendly

    General condition of our twin and double rooms was poor. Badly in need of redecoration. Also curtains did not meet in the middle.

    Poor decoration, wallpaper peeling off. Radiator constantly on, was like having a break in Delhi.

    Room very dated. Light bulb not working, could feel the spring of the matress and curtains half broken.

    Close to Norwich

    Room was ill-equippwd (no clock) tired looking (old fashioned decor) and dirty (cobwebs and floor not vaccumed. Toilet did not work properly and noise from other guest was too loud.

    hotel was adequate as we only needed a room to sleep in, room was large and well provided with tea coffee etc. and the bed was comfortable.

    The hotel appeared generally in need of refurbishment- stained carpets, tired decor etc. Our visit was spolit by the very noisy behaviour of fellow guests who disturbed our nights sleep- the thin walls made their noise carry very clearly.

    "Don't go until they refurbish the hotel. The receptionist was helpful when I mentioned, during the checkout process, that we had a dreadful night because of the stag night. Without hesitation she reduced the bill from £50 to £30 for the room. It was obviously policy to do this but you had to 'complain'. I think it would be most helpful if hotels (and the internet agencies such as Active Hotels) declared the hotel policy with respect to stag and hen nights so the mature customer can make an informed choice."     Breakfast was nicely cooked. Good back rashers of bacon. Parking ok. Reasonable location. Clean sheets , towels and toilet.

    Carpets throughout were dirty. The room decor was old and grubby. The shower was a fountain because the hose was broken at the base. Rather inconvenient when you hop out of bed to have a shower. The last thing you want to do at 7.00 in the morning is call for it to be fixed. We would have appreciated not being surrounded by a stag party that returned to the hotel at 3.00 am and proceeded to continue the party in the corridors and adjacent rooms. This kept us awake throughout the night. The hotel was large enough to put them altogether in one area away from the 'normal' guests. It was not clear that there was no restaurant although you could work it out from the comment that sandwiches could be provided in the evening.

    "It was very noisy,after 11pm, we were woken up for a while, with very noisy young lads, and people shouting outside. We were also in the room where there was a door opening and closing all the time, with creeky floor boards, it was annoying! " (108344212)

    It was clean, and there was a kettle with tea and coffee and nice biscuits, was very welcome after a long journey.

    Loud people, creeky floor boards outside our room,door slamming open and shut constantly.....tossed and turned all night, didn't feel well rested at all.

    Tired and shabby. Badly needs total refurbishment and updating. Set in a 70s time-warp. There are not many hotels now that do not have a proper shower. The shower attachment on the bath taps was not long enough to allow one to stand up to try and have a shower.

    Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

    The hotel is tired and in need of some money being spent on upgrading and redecorating the rooms. The carpets were stained and grubby.

    Friendly staff, good breakfast. Convenient location to office.

    Carpets not hoovered to edges - particulary noticeable with dark blue - gave the place a dirty feel. Chairs stained. Bathroom tiles cracked. Poor shower - tap attachment makes temp vairiable. Floorboards in room above creaked, so was awake till midnight then up at 0630, after having been woken earlier by the kitchen extractors starting up.

    the hotel is located in a very good location which is very good. is not far from the train station and eating placeses.

    what i dnt like is that for the fact that the hotel does not have Air conditional, i think it should have fans which people can used in case the weather is boiling hot, when i stayed in the hotel is was very hot, i asked at the reception for fan and there was none. because of this reason i will not want to stay in the hotel again unless there is a fan to use.

    Central location. Decent amount of parking.

    Poorly trained staff. Expensive breakfast. Very uncomfortable bed. Ageing decour. Very thin walls. Small rooms. Lots of street noise.

    Appearance of outside. Free parking (this was not availbale at travel lodge) Staff - recommend days out etc and were pleasent

    Room it self needs updating. Paint failing off, window ledge broken. For price could have gone to better hotel - booked due to last min

    It was quick and easy to check-out

    The hole in skirting with an air freshener hanging from the pipes unnerved me. It lacked good ventilation and I don't know when a vacuum cleaner was last run over the carpet

    Staff was very friendly and location was great

    The only thing I would complain about is there was still hairs in the bath when we arrived even though it was a very good price I still think it should be clean

    Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Close to train station and within walking distance of city centre and resturants.

    Our room was not one of the re-furbished ones but thats just the luck of the draw i suppose, no grumble aimed towards the hotel at all.

    friendly receptionist,large room

    no hot water for shower,not as clean as a holiday inn/premier inn etc,could do with an overhaul
