    "The stay was definitely spoiled by the loud music and over-hot room, but otherwise it was - like most Village hotels - a good value choice with excellent spa facilities." (107726125)

    The staff were very friendly and helpful, both when we arrived and throughout our stay. The room was clean and nicely furnished, with a large flat screen TV. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. The spa facilities were lovely, and specific swimming times for children meant we had the opportunity of swimming ourselves in the evening, but also not feeling guilty that we were in the pool with the baby in the morning. The changing facilities, especially for families, were excellent.

    The room wasn't air conditioned and, although the windows did open, they were recessed, meaning little air made it into the room. There was a fan but it did little to alleviate the heat - I ended up sleeping in the bathroom at one point! Also PLEASE NOTE this hotel has functions most nights, and on the night we stayed (Saturday) it didn't finish until 1am. Despite having a baby we were placed in a room over the function room and were kept awake until past 1am both by the disco noise (which was bearable) and by people chatting loudly in the car park below our window(which definitely was not). I would have been less irritated if someone had warned us when we booked or when we checked in that this was going to be the case. A real shame as it ruined what would have otherwise been a very pleasant stay.

    We really enjoyed our stay and made use of the facilities as much as possible, the restaurant food was very good,all the staff were all helpful and friendly.

    Very friendly & helpful staff, hotel was very clean & breakfast was lovely.

    We couldn't get the shower to work & didn't have time to contact reception. We had to eat in the bar on the Friday evening as we were going out early. We waited a very long time for very poor quality food so was disappointed with this part.

    Why I had a terrible time was the fact that I did not manage to sleep at all. There was constant noise of many people chatting & laughing loudly all around the room with people in & out of each others' rooms. I became so exhausted from the lack of sleep. When I came down to the reception at about 4:30am for a glass of warm water, the reception lad was very kind and supportive but the hotel did not have any paracetamol to lift the headache!

    Very helpful, changed the booking for me as couldnt make the original date as snowed in!. Clean and good facilities.

    Completely spoiled by the meal in the restaurant, which was appalling and very poor quality.

    Facilities were excellent.Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet even though we stayed New Years Eve and if not fully booked must have been extremely close to it. Staff were very accomodating, friendly and helpful.

    Internet booking did not give enough options - I had to specify that i required a twin room in my comments - I was not 100% sure i would get this or a double until I checked in. Having to sign in for pool / gym facilities every occasion we visited and have someone to swipe you in and out; felt the room key should be equipped to do this and maybe a disclaimer signed on checking in.

    the room was cold at night, the heated towel rail didnt work, and the cleaners knocked on twice about 10am and at 10.30am once waking us up and secondley getting us out of the shower,

    "booking stated buffet breakfast not included, so we went into Ashton for breakfast first morning, then found out by reading a brochure breakfast was included. desk staff didn't seem to care. complimentary newspapers were charged 70p telecommunications very poor, could not get a call out to my brother, was staying for my fathers funeral so very stressful, hotel could not put mobile calls through to the room, caused a great deal of extra driving for my brother and stress for us. front desk staff seemed inexperienced. we were charged for ++ calls never made or received, they did agree to take them off the bill after a great deal of discussion. need to work out new hotel teething problems!!"     modern hotel, location, bed was lovely

    dark decor, small room, limited hanging space for clothes, dark for putting on makeup in the room. telephone system has huge problems!!

    The room was quiet and clean it had all the facilities needed for an overnight stay.

    I requested a bottle of champagne in the room as it was my husbands birthday, this request qas not met, which I found strange as the hotel had a bar which could have provided this service.

    "I had never heard of Village Hotels prior to this visit, finding the one in Hyde via the internet when looking for accomodation in that area to attend a wedding. The hotel was exceptional value for money, and the leisure facilities in particular, were first class. Food was good, room clean, staff very friendly. Overall, I was very impressed, and would not hesitate to return or to recomment the Village Hotel in Hyde." (97706850)

    "This was our first stay in a Village Hotel but we found it much more relaxing than previous budget hotels that we had stayed in before making it that bit more special. The restaurant and bar area were welcoming and for the first time we stayed on site for evening entertainment and food. The rooms were a good size and nicely looked after. Whilst our visit was mostly for business reasons we also felt that we had been away on holiday. Next time we will be sure to bring our swimming costumes as the pool did not look overcrowded which we thought it might be. Staff were polite and friendly." (99951044)

    Area was quiet, room & bedding clean. Good sized room for 2 people. Nicely decorated.

    Bed a bid short for taller man. Not enough sugar in room.

    Very pleasant stay and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel.

    My only adverse comment would be the breakfast bacon was very under cooked and I hate that!!

    We only stayed over night at the Hotel - however, the quality of the hotel and the food was excellent.

    I did not find the Reception Personel helpful or friendly.

    "The only thing that could have made the stay better would have been if we could have got a room for 3 Adults because there was a few of us and a couple of us were single so this made the sleeping arrangements a bit awkward. Maybe there should be a group room or you should be able to book one of the family rooms for more than 2 adults!" (99326254)

    I like the Villages all over the Uk, the staff are pleasent and helpful and the other guests always seem happy and satisfied. Food is lovely. Staff always seem bright and breezy.

    We thought the check in was fine. The room was comfortable and clean. T.V. was good (sky sports) Nice bathroom.

    We had a faulty light above the bed and someone came with a replacement bulb but it stil did not work and they promised to return, but didn't during our two night stay. We had to stretch the standard lamp to allow me to read in bed.

    "I have stayed at this hotel before but the room I got this time was much smaller and it backed onto the lift shaft which I could hear all night. The staff in the restaurant and bar are excellent but the overall experience was tainted by the room. This time therefore, I did not think it was such good value for money." (99463957)

    The leisure facilities were excellent

    The fact that the first room we were given was full of smoke. This seems to be a typical behaviour of many hotels - they seem to think that because we are a young couple, that they can just give us the worst room and we won't complain. However, it is a very annoying habit. This time I spent a lot of money on the hotel in the hope that it wouldn't happen again, but we were treated in the same manner as we've received in cheaper accommodation.

    Comfortable room (even had a fan for hot weather) and very good breakfast apart from coffee.

    Initially we were allocated a room next to a wedding function in spite of requesting a quiet room. However the reception staff managed, after a bit of pressure, to swap it for a suitable room.
