    "The hotel was charming and friendly( bar area breakfast area) with a good selection of food duing the day also the beer was very good, the staff were very friendly and helpful. But the rooms in the seperate stable block were not of a high standard and the carpets were dirty, good breakfast though." (97789986)

    It was traditional and cosy although a little old fashioned. Room was very clean and cleaned each day.

    Being in the annexe was not like staying in the main hotel. We had to go in and out through the back way to reach our room

    "The minute we walked in we were greeted with a friendly welcome even though the pub was busy. The one thing I probably was have liked to have known before booking the hotel would have been what the rooms looked like." (3305088806)

    It was modern, spacious and clean. An excellent family room.

    Overall the accomodation was good, but a couple of niggling things that can be easily rectified let it down.

    A few niggling things - 1. noisy heating system 2. loo door did not shut propoerly 3. shower poor

    "This is a great little hotel and i was made to feel welcolm from the moment i arrived to the moment i left. Some times when you travel by yourself nights out can be boring, but the locals made you feel welcolm which to me is important. I would not hesitate to use this hotel again or recommend it to friends or family.9 OUT OF 10" (2652237)

    "One towel and no soap in an establishment that calls itself a hotel is far from satisfactory. The en-suite bathroom door would not close but conditions were so cramped that that was probably a blessing in disguise." (2644549)

    Room was clean, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was a good start to the day.

    The area around the accommodation left a lot to be desired.

    "The HOtel was very old and dark but had alot of character. The rooms we stopped in where big and ideal for families. You dont very often get separate rooms in family rooms it was more like a family suite. Very clean and had all the essentials you would require on a holiday. The rooms were cleaned to a very high standard. The breakfast was also great as you could name what you wanted and they would cook it. Cereals were laid out and they asked you what else you required and it was cooked fresh. The only down side we felt was the rear of the hotel where the car park was and the family rooms where within an annexxe outside. On the approach it looked very untidy and made you feel like that was going to be the standard of the hotel which was deceiving. A little tidy up would make all the difference and make it look more welcoming." (2556129)

    We had a family room in an outside annexxe which consisted of 1 double room and steps upto another room with 2 single beds. Ideal for families.

    The approach to the rear of the Hotel was very untidy and this is where the family rooms where allocated.

    "The main bedroom had a skylight right above the bed. The blind to cover this window was ripped and so the sun beamed in straight into your face. (no lie in there). The bedrooms are a nice large size but if you are a little on the large size you have not got much of a chance in the tiny bathroom. Showers in the morning you have got about 5 minutes hot water Breakfast at a reasonable time not too early or too late, and a good choice of different cereal or cooked breakie." (2599260)

    The way it was set back so even though it was part of the public house it was also very seperate.

    Need to double check the furnishings in rooms.

    Room was large, breakfast good, people friendly

    Shower was bad, also a seperate reception area for the hotel. Providing simple foodin the evening would be nice or provide a list of child frienly restaurants nearby in the room

    "It would have been useful to know that there were no evening meals available at the hotel, although we planned to eat out anyway. The staff and owners are very warm and hospitable - they made us feel very relaxed. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The local Suddaby's beer is fantastic!!" (2267872)

    Very clean and freshly painted. Bed linen and towels were new and in very good order.

    The front of the Hotel could be re-painted and made to look smarter (this is the only minor negative we could think of!).

    it was convienient for the place we were visiting.

    The room although clean was in need of new carpets and a makeover!Also there was nowhere in the bathroom to hang clothes or put toiletries-not even a hook on the back of the door!

    "What a friendly group of people ! The rooms were fine, the breakfast was even finer. When we arrived on motorbikes, they straight away offered to open up the courtyard to let us park inside. I can also recommend the great selection of Beers on sale at the bar." (1513023)
