"Thanks to Justin in Active Hotels we were sorted in another Hotel for the saturday night without any extra cost to us. He sorted us out with just 1 phone call." (107423575)
Not booked into the Hotel when we arrived at 10pm at night, The Hotel staff got us 3 rooms for that night in their hotel( 3 twins next to each other as requested???) but could not accomadate us the next night. The 2 girls on the desk were very helpful.

Location is perfectly suited for my purposes
Meals - expensively priced for restricted choice to which I wasn't suitably impressed. I prefer spicy food. Merely a constructive critisism.

Quiet and fully equipped.
Bed moved and was very uncomfortable. Sink did not drain quickly.

"beds were uncomfortable and quite old. Shower was pathetic. Hotel staff were not particularly helpful or pleasant and restaurant staff were rude. Quality of food in restaurant was not very good and extremely over priced" (99336234)

Room was cold on arrival. I was advised first of all that the heating was on a time clock and scheduled to go on at 4.30pm. Although we were given a portable heater which was adequate we were then informed by the porter that the boilers had been turned off as 'it was summer'. Someone should advise this hotel that 'summer' does not really exist in Scotland!!

"I felt that the hotel reflected its star rating and reviews which I had previously read were accurate. The Hotel was welcoming, room clean and comfortable. The Hotel was in a good location with clear directions of how to get there. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would happily stay here again." (2438714)
Both reception area and room were very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with a good supply of linen.

"Bis zu Zeitpunkt meiner Abreise war ich sehr zufrieden. Ich hatte an diesem Tag einen Termin, der es notwendig macht um 7:10am abzureisen. Ich habe keine Rechnung über den im vorraus bezahlten Betrag erhalten, da die Rezeption am Wochenende ist erst ab 8:00h besetzt ist. Die Rechnung wollte man mir per Fax zuschicken. Was aber bisher nicht geschehen ist. Ich hoffe das ich die Rechnung bald erhalte, da ich sie für meine Abrechnung benötige. Ich gehe davon aus dass dieses ein Ausnahmenfall ist. Wenn die Rezepion besetzt ist, waren die Mitarbeiter immer sehr höflich und hilfsbereit." (2384396)

"The bar was outside the main hotel building and I had to wait 10 minutes to order an evening meal because the bar man was nowhere to be seen. Generally the hotel was clean." (1552104)
Clean & tidy
Slight smell of smoke despite asking for a non-smoking room. Noisy room - fellow guests late to bed and up very early.

Surprisingly comfortable and quiet hotel. One of the best night's sleeps I have had in a long time!
The breakfast staff really didn't appear to want to serve me breakfast. Admittedly I was 10 minutes late, but was quite taken aback by the apparent unwillingness to help. In fairness to them, they did change attitude fairly quickly and sorted me out with food and coffee. Very comfortable and quiet as mentioned, but room was just starting to show signs of tiredness.
