    "This hotel was described as luxury 4*. I would agree with that in regards to the general areas but this was not our experience in the room. Definately not value for money. We requested 3 times to have our bedding changed from feather to foam and each time we were told it will be actioned. We had to eventually sleep with feather bedding. " (108032230)

    Lobby area opulent and staff appeared attentive and happy to help. Rooms well equiped, bed comfortable.

    Damp smelling corridors and room. Shabby carpets in the bedroom. Room very small. We requested 3 times to have our pillows changed to ordinary foam but our request was not granted.

    Modern hotel with big and clean rooms and facilites. It is a fresh change from the smaller Geogian building hotels that I stayed earlier.

    Friendly helpful staff, good standard of accomodation. Comfortable beds (stayed in twin room).

    Sound on TV not in synch with programme. Would have been annoying if had stayed in room in evenings. Having said that didnt report it til check out and staff very apologetic.

    not good value for money, standard of cleanliness of room not upto standard. Not enough plug points. No mirror in room to use when drying hair and no plug in bathroom.

    The entrance loby and reception is very grand and certainly is impressive when you arrive.

    The entrance loby and reception look very impressive, however the room looked shabby in comparison (particlarly the bathroom) which was very disappointing.

    "A nice, clean, spacious business-style hotel. All parts were clean and tidy, staff were freindly and helpful. The large bed was comfortable and the decour quite pleasant. The bathroom sufficiently spacious and very clean. The only thing we found confussing was the address. The hotel is listed as on Harrington Road (perhaps this is for vehicles). Actually, if you're on foot, coming from the Gloucester Road tube, for example, the closest, and much better marked, entrance is on Courtfield Road." (99976623)

    "I arrived late approx 11pm. Quick check in. At approx. 2am there was a fire alarm where we had to get up and assemble downstairs! it proved to be a false alarm however, everything went off fine and we went back to our room." (99543393)

    Stayed at this Hotel before and that is why we re-booked.

    The only negative and this is very minor is that I could not settle my bill on leaving as the computer was not working.It will be charged on to my credit card and hopefully without error!

    Spacious room, impressive reception area, location good for the tube traveller.

    Attention to detail in the room, found the room too cold at night, the ceilings needed touching up in the bedroom, marks on the walls, a bit off putting for a 4 star hotel.

    My room (#413) was very poor. Heating system not working properly, the cealing in the bathroom was falling, the curtains were tired and wrecked and not many interestibg tv channels available. Reported to manager on duty, when checking out and he was kind to understand my complain (took approx, 25 pounds from the total bill).

    There was no electrical outlet close to the mirror to allow for curling hair. Luckily I had an extension cord and plug-ins to solve that dilema

    "We very much enjoyed our visit to your hotel. We were meeting up with relatives who had been staying with a tour group at your hotel and we all commented on how nice the hotel was. The Concierge was more than helpful in giving us information about the various sights in London which we were interested in.     The location is excellent for the Chelsea Flower Show. The room was a good size.

    Although restaurants were near, a restaurant in the hotel would have been better. Charging seperately for breakfast was an unpleasant surprise. The ambience of breakfast could be improved by the offer of extra coffee etc. Was not of a European standard.

    "The hotel was very nice in all areas other than the room. The furniture showed signs of extensive wear and needed replacing badly. Also, the sheets and the bed comforter were not as clean as I would have liked. Hairs were present on both and the comforter had a cigarette burn in it. Also the mattress was slightly sway back in the center from too much use without replacement. Check in /check out were slow and both times we had to waite 10 minutes before being served. Their was plenty of hotel staff on duty, but none seemed to be in the areas where they were most needed. Concierge desk was very helpful. Sam in particular." (1838210)

    "I wanted to stay in an older hotel to get A London experience. That was accomplished. The items mentioned above are indications of an older Hotel and part of the charm as well." (1660273)

    The staff was excllent, very helpful.

    The lights had to be fixed during my stay. A clasp was missing on the fold out tray. A screw came out of the drapes. The ironing board was ripped. There was no hot water one day.

    "For a four-star hotel, I would expect a much higher quality of service and room cleanliness. I only decided to stay there because the room rate I got Online was a good rate. At check-in the assistant behind the desk asked me if I would like to upgrade for 30 UK pounds per night to a Millennium Club room because these rooms were recently reburbished. I aggreed to this, but when I entered the room I was soon aware that this room was not recently refurbished and the window was filty dirty and it would not close properly. I certainly would not recommend this hotel, or at least the room I was given, to anyone!" (1773931)

    "The stay was relaxing and we were pleased overall. we were given a twin room rather than the king size we had booked but it was sorted quickly. There was also no sky tv which had been advertised and with a big football match being played the weekend we stayed it was what we had wanted. We weren't told at all until we came to watch the game which ment us having to then go to a local pub, which we really didnt want. The only other faults were a cip in the bath and the hair dryer not working neither could be sorted without changing rooms again. It is the little details that we didnt expect for the price of the hotel all in all was ok." (1625606)

    "We found the hotel accomodation to be of a good standard and the staff were very helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by the location of the hotel as it was just off the main street so was central to the tube, restaurants and cafes yet our accomodation was quiet. We felt that £15 for breakfast was a little steep so ate at one of the nearby cafes, although we did eat our evening meals at the hotel and were very happy with both the food and the restaurants and the prices were reasonable. On Saturday night the hotel had a buffet for around £20 per person (all you can eat) so if you were very hungry this worked out well and the selection of food was good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would definitely go back for another stay." (1601335)

    Quiet, but central location, with good restaurants nearby, staff were helpful and very comfortable accomodation.

    "On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone was well presented and the enterance hall, lobby and guest rooms were beautifully furnished and kept spotless. Room service was wonderfull and the food was lovely. I feel I was well informed before I booked the accomodation and therefore didn't feel I needed to be aware of anything else.     Clean, staff were friendly and helpful, beautiful rooms, food was wonderful, an overall fantastic weekend!

    Mini bar was slightly over priced but they always are every where you go! We also got charged for things we didnt have. This was resolved!

    "In comparison with hotels of similar and lesser standard worldwide the level of service and customer care was not as good. The advertisement for the hotel states there is parking under the hotel, however the cost of same is not advised, for 24 hours the charge is a further £30, therefore our for a one night stay commencing at 8:00 am on the saturday and completing at 19:00 on the sunday the car park cost was 40 to 45% of the room cost for one night."     Convenient for purpose, close to tube and restaurants easy to locate

    We paid for Club upgrade which was a waste of money, the club room was small and smokey without anyone in attendance from the hotel, no refreshments were available there and this was a saturday evening. There was no kettle in the room and it required two phone calls to reception and 45 minutes to get one which was delivered in a surly manner.

    "I specifically requested an earlier check-in as I had to hop off a plane and head straight to a meeting- it was confirmed that this was possible. Upon arrival, I was told that there were no facilities to freshen up. The reception staff was most unfriendly and extremely inflexible. The rooms were small and clearly not much effort had gone into the decor- bedside tables didn't even match. Had one light switch for the room- thus total darkness or all lights on- what is the use of the bedside tables. I really would've expected more from a four star deluxe hotel." (1535796)
