    "Ramada should be ashamed to have this hotel in their chain. Upon checking in I saw on my room card "Discount room only". So already I had been designated a second class citizen for booking through Active Hotels. Upon entering the room there was a distinct smell which I attributed to the rural location of the hotel. However when I closed the window which had been left open the smell got stronger and it was clearly the mould which was abound in the shower cubicle. On walking to my room the corridor was littered with laundry and room service trays which hadn't been cleared. This may be acceptable up to midday but at 5pm, this should be a completed task by household staff.I didn't eat in the restaurant but went to a nearby retail park which was equally disastrous. In the morning, there was no-one to meet you at the breakfast restaurant. So I found my own table and helped myself until someone appeared to serve coffee after I'd been there for 15mins. Upon check out, I politely informed the asst manager about the shortcomings of the room but he didn't appear to be too bothered. He wasn't rude but just indifferent which seems to be the attitude in general for the staff working there. " (108431524)

    Good selection of TV Channels.

    Mouldy and smelly bathroom, ancient mattress which needs replacing, corridor filled with dirty laundry and uncleared room service trays even at 5pm in the afternoon, "automaton" approach of staff.

    Only comment here was poor shower in bedroom - shower head needed cleaning

    Staff were friendly and as helful as the facilities would allow.

    The hotel was very shabby andthe rooms lacked any general appeal.

    Nice hotel, staff pleasant, Room was adequate

    I thought the food was over priced for what it is and it showed by the lack of people in the restaurant. Plumbing and bathroom was tired

    The beds were clean and comfortable

    On top of the seat,where the bolts attach the seat to the base had urine trapped around them.The wash hand basin was'nt clean.The mirror on the dressing table was covered in splashes. All in the room we were allocated.

    Very pleasant room - comfortable with good facilities. Especially liked being able to control room temperature.Food and service very good also.

    Only a couple of 'niggles';the temperature in the public rooms was a bit too cold and the hotel entrance from the road is easily missed.The sign needs to be more prominent.

    lovely staff, nice communaly areas, clean

    There was a big hole in our ceiling which wasnt very pleasent. Didnt make a for a good nights sleep though fear of spiders living in the hole.

    Public areas clean and well kept.

    Room dark and quite small. Food very expensive, plate of spaghetti with veg £11.00!

    Nice size room with comfortable furnishings.

    En-suite could do with updating, the shower was at best a dribble and you had to be no taller than 5ft to stand under the shower head at its highest point.

    The staff were friendly and informative. The room was clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was very good.

    Some of the furnishings were stained although it looked as though attempts had been made to remove the stains. The entrance road to the hotel was not obvious in the dark.

    Convenient location, good parking, reasonable value, easy booking & check-in, friendly staff.

    On the night we stayed there was a wedding reception/party in a marquee in the hotel grounds. The music was intrusive until after 1:00 a.m. and was followed by noisy guests roaming the corridors and partying in each others rooms for some time after that. Had we known that this was going to happen we would have had the option of booking elsewhere or at least been pre-warned.

    Excellent food and service!

    The room temperature was uncomfortably high although the window was ajar. Air-con should be considered, it would really improve the situation.

    Location is excellent (Lots of shops and restaurants around). Very helpfull staff.

    Double bed was tiny. Mattress was very thin. Could hear neighbours in the morning.

    On ring road with plenty of parking.

    No leisure facilities such as pool or gym which might have been expected given the location and size of the hotel. Our room had a nasty smell of stale smoke. Room and ensuite bathroom looked as if they desperately needed refurbishment.

    good layout off room and room service was very good.

    was not impressed having to change in the toilets to go to a wedding having driving up from gatwick in the morning.I would strongly reconsider your checking out time by 2 hours.bed needs to be bigger.

    The room was musty and the carpets in the public areas as well as the room are in desperate need of cleaning/replacement.

    The room was fine.

    The staff serving at meals in both the evening and morning were unhelpful. The quality of the cold food at breakfast was moderate and the range of cold food (meats, cheeses, freah fruit) was limited.
