    "My partner felt most put out and vowed he would not stay again. he felt staff could have been more helpful about the miss understanding re breakfast. He was offerred a bacon sandwhich about 10.15am, however he felt as breakfast was still being served to the the public he should have had the breakfast we paid for as part of the bed and breakfast deal.     staff was able to change by booking from a standard to a balcony room at short notice.

    was not informed that all rooms were non smoking until we entered the room, although this was an option on the online booking. Missed breakfast as notice board in reception stated up to 11.30am. was not informed on arrival of times Although it was on the room card but did not read this information My partner was most disapponted we missed breakfast as he had read the times on the notice board on arrival and thought it was an accurate display of the breakfast time shown. Hotel staff did not take any responsibility for this misunderstanding re: the breakfast display near reception. beds were very soft.

    The only good points about this hotel was it's location beside the river. However the town of Wroxham is grubby and tired and not worth visiting

    Our main problem was that when we arrived at the hotel there was no booking for us, even though we had a confirmation number from yourselves. Usual story...they blamed you and you blamed them.... Great news for us as they had no balcony rooms to offer us only one with a view of the car park for half price, which we reluctantly accepted as it was late in the day. As the whole idea of the trip was to surprise my boyfriend , for his Birthday, with a room overlooking the river and the boats, you can imagine that I was rather embarassed and disappointed, to say the least.

    Nice location on the river.

    Room furniture shabby and cheap. Mildew round bath. Not what you expect for £90 a night. Toothbrush evidently taken by room cleaning staff and disposed of, as it was left in bathroom first day and vanished! No apology or replacement left. "Not allowed" to eat dinner on terrace, though dining room was VERY stuffy in heatwave. (Voted with feet and ate elsewhere)

    We were extremely disappointed by the state of the hotel and we're told that there had been a mix up with the prices of the rooms. For a double ensuite with a balcony we were appaled at the price and the state of the room.

    "the whole look of the hotel was very tired and worn out and in need of some drastic refurb." (107887034)

    dining room service was good, but the bar service was very poor, for the same round of drinks there was a different price and a could'nt care less attitude

    there were cracks all around the edge of the bath and various patches of mould and no water pressure in the shower, and for almost £100 per night i did not expect to see a plastic hose from the taps to the shower head

    staff were very helpful,friendly and attentive at all times.setting of hotel is lovely even being close to busy road traffic noise was not a problem.Food was very good and very reasonably priced.

    Decor is very tired and just a few things could help improve this,curtain linings could be replaced(save expence of complete new curtains)carpets could do with a clean appreciate they have a lot of traffic over them in a course of a year but this would give the rooms a cleaner appearance.Paint work a bit shabby.

    "The hotel is located on the river with some bedrooms overlooking it. The main function rooms, dining room bar etc all over look the river. These were nice spaces and have access to the outdoors where drinks can be taken in good weather. When I stayed in March it was not warm enough to enjoy this facility! The bedroom had recently been painted and there was a strong smell of paint. the rooms were clean an of a good size. The only problem was the noise very early in the morning from the post office depot next door.However if you had a room with a river view you may not hear it. I should think the hotel and its bars would be incredibly busy in the high season." (3304350614)

    Good location although there is some early morning noise (4.40 a.m.)from postal facility next door.

    "Room smelt of paint, but still was a bit shabby! Radiator in bathroom did not work. Bed was comfortable and the staff pleasant and attentive. Breakfast was seved quickly and was more than adequate for a normal appetite. Worst element was the noise in the bedroom from air/fume extractors, probably from kitchen, went on until after 11.30pm and started very early again am." (3304291505)

    "I think the room had just been painted recently and the smell of paint was very strong. The hotel itself was very smokey. The hotel staff were friendly. I cannot comment greatly has I stayed just the one night. It was adequate for my needs for one night." (3304136097)

    overall the standard was very good. It was clean and all in good working order.

    Unfortunately, I found that I was only a couple of doors down from rooms which were being re-decorated. The smell of paint was noticable once you were outside of your room. But this didn't really effect my stay as I spent most of time either in the room or outside of the hotel.

    "The Hotel Wroxham is right at the side of the river, and from the restaurant you can watch the boats and the swans drift by. The staff are helpful & friendly and the food is excellent. We would not hesitate to book another stay there." (2129913)

    "The setting is beautiful if you have a room facing the river. The hotel was friendly, but gave the impression of being past its best - with tears in the furnishings and water damamged structure. Evening meal and breakfast were good. Staff friendly and did their best to help." (1926699)

    The rooms & linen were clean. Food good.
