    food good, staff friendly,hotel layout nice.

    second night toiletries not replenished,guests stand in courtyard early hours morning smoking and talking if light sleeper, suggest not having room overlooking courtyard.

    Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent value for money.

    My hairdyer didn't work and I couldn't shut the window in my room correctly (number 6) which was a little annoying as it overlooked the petrol station.

    There were no good points about this hotel.

    Dirty scuff marks on walls and paintwork; wrong room allocated on arrival; second room smelled of cooking oil; carpet had not been vacuumed in weeks; cold. We were finally allocated room (suite) unfortunately it overlooked petrol filling station. At breakfast ignored by waiting staff for 20 minutes before being given filter coffee that had been on the hotplate from what tasted like the week before. Breakfast took ages and the bacon was tough enough to have soled shoes.

    Free WiFi Room comfortable

    Restraurent very dark with no atmosphere, not informed about the existence of the vault bar even when i asked about bar meals. No sky sports channels available in room, shower very poor. Breakfast stated fruit salad but non available

    Restaurant was below standard, the chef must have been working off a different menue or did know what was on it, food for the price was not value, cooks on Master Chef would have turned food out better.....

    Mostly good.

    Road facing room. Roadworks on Sunday morning woke us. Not hotels fault, but very noisy.

    The radiators in both the bedroom and the bathroom made awful noises from 3.30am until around 6am. We did report this to reception as we checked out.

    The Hotel was very nice. Bedroom was excellent with lovely clean modern bed linen. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was very good, lots of choice and hot.

    The hotels car park was a meeting point for the local rowdy youths, who were shouting and making a lot of noise. Our cars were not safe and we asked to move them in to the staff car park. A fight broke out just under our bedroom window, the police and ambulance were called. Our bathroom had no towel rail or toilet roll holder.

    For a luxury room, there was no fixed shower - only a hand held over the bath shower, which had absolutely no power to it. There were 2 advertised channels not working on tv in room. It was a first floor room & the window overlooked a busy petrol station - net curtains would have been advisable. Even without heating on, it was warm in the room, but it was too noisy to open the window.

    I booked the Romantic Getaway. My advertised bottle on Moet turned out to be sparkling wine, which I found very disappointing. I also had to ask for the strawberries and fruit and a second set of towels as these had not been provided.

    Excellent room. Wine nicely chilled in bucket on arrival. Staff very friendly, small enough for personal service. Quick check-in and out.

    Service in restaurant could have been better. Dessert ordered but never brought out! Breakfast was good though

    Very clean and tidy room. The young girl serving our break fast in the courtyard was very polite, happy and willing to help.

    Loud of fan unit next to our window kept us awake for the two nights of our stay. Unfortunately the shower box was tiny and made showering uncomfortable. In such a nice big bathroom this was a silly design mistake. The courtyard ground was filthy with fags and chips and unswept on both mornings when we had breakfast.

    Excellent restaurant and friendly staff, location easy to find and room was spacious. Clean and newly re-furbished facilities, friendly reception.

    The bathroom smelt of chips/greese- I suppose the bathroom shared the same extractor fan as the kitchen, the smell didn't creep into the room more contained in the bathroom.

    Central location

    The overall feel of the room was 'tired' - poor lighting. The shower had black mould around the sealant. If you are unfortunate to get a room by one of the 'house' music loud-speakers, you could be in for a noisy time

    "Overall the hotel provided good value for money with a friendly and attentive staff although it was clear that one or two were new and could benefit from more training especially in the bar area although this may be because they were temporary staff helping during the beer festival.     The staff were helpful and pleasant. The public rooms and the bedroom were clean and of adequate size. The breakfast was good. Secure car park.

    Plastic sheet on the bed. Lights in bedroom fused, but quickly put right.
