    Reception staff were friendly and polite. The hotel was conveniently located for working in the Bloomsbury area.

    The hotel is badly in need of updating. The shower room in particular was very old and shabby; it smelled damp all the time. The floor boards in my room squeaked and creaked with every move I made or was made by someone else in another room. The TV picture was poor (shaddowy) and it alternated between colour and black and white.

    well located, pleasant desk clerks

    wallpaper was pealing, separate hot and cold faucets in sink, sheet didn't fit the bed, badly worn appearance, couldn't even tell if it was clean through the stains, barely adequate breakfast, general feeling of worn-out establishment.

    The room was advertised as a double room. This was not the case. The room was very small, like a boat hut. The bed was 1.5 single bed. The room had not seen a maintenance man in decades. The room wasnt cleaned. The breakfast was only served to 9am. Value for money was appalling. Never in my life has I said in such a bad hotel paying so much money.

    Location of the hotel was good. Very good breakfast and the serving of it. Acceptable price.

    Needs restoration, greesing of door hinges(!),bath needs fixing, taxi should be ordered from licensed cabs(!)

    Glad I only paid a last minute deal price. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and the cooked breakfast was cooked individually for you so it hadn't been left keeping warm. The hotel was reasonaby clean.

    There were lots of things not where they should be eg. new radiators in the coridoor etc. We had a view into the garden but unfortunately the view of the 10 or so old matteresses pilled up outside yet again let the hotel down.

(When I inquired from the hotel receptionist if they had more spacious rooms he told me all the rooms have the same type of shower. He actually used the word "crappy" to describe the showers.)"     "We had an uneasy and uncomfortable night with only fitful sleep. Despite the window being open the room temperature was too high. We left early on the second day because the meeting we attended finished early and we had nos desire to have another uncomfortable night. " (108870073)

    The breakfast room ,although in the basement area was light and airy, clean and well decorated. the staff were very good. the full english breakfast was fine.

    Both rooms booked were very small, almost built around the bed in the case of the double room. both were claustrophobic. The room required re-decoration and the net curtains in a shade of grey were scruffy. The view into the garden was spoiled by a number of old beds and mattresses stacked up. The shower unit was old and very small.

    bathroom door did not shut, shower small, worked, but all water went out of shower onto floor, flooding room. found it strange that we had to leave our room key at reception even when we were just sitting outside hotel, have never been asked to leave key when leaving before, except when checking out.

    Close to St Pancras International Station - for Eurostar

    Room was tiny and dirty with filthy, torn net curtains and water stains on ceiling. Shower was the smallest I have ever seen. Water was dripping from the room above into the shower room. The view from the room was of a pile of dirty mattresses left in the hotel courtyard.

    Good location and security of entranced was good. The staff were efficent and polite and the breakfasts were well cooked and staff amenable to requests. Clean sheets, towels.

    Very squeaky noisy floor boards, decor very poor and dingy, whole in desperate need of redecoration. Tiny shower and old tap system felt dodgy. Rigid breakfast times. Old bed.Old TV sticky TV remote. Lift did not always work.

    Only two blocks from where the conference was that I attended. Nice and quiet hotel. Personal service was very good. Easy booking in and booking out process.

    "I booked a double room thinking I would have a bit of space, but this was such a small room you couldn't have had two full sized people in it - maybe it was designed for anorexic dwarves. The pile of decaying mattresses in the rear garden my room looked out on was pretty bad. Do any of these hotel owners think of their guests at all? The breakfast was ok, a bit mean portion wise but bearable. However the location was good, it was clean, and it wasn't ridiculously expensive - I guess you get what you pay for. But I wont be back."     Good location, within walking distance of Kings Cross & Euston. Bed sheets and towels very clean, as was bathroom.

    Very small (double) room, ridiculously small ensuite bathroom. Garden view was spolied by stack of worn and rotting matresses in full view. Breakfast a bit mean but ok.

    Chambre petite, et douche pas très pratique. Mais ce ne sont pas vraiment des points négatifs... disons des petits inconvénients.

    Located close to train and tube stations and within easy walking distance to major London sights - British Museum, West-End, etc. Clean and well-maintained. Staff extremely helpful.

    Rooms are small, even by London standards.

    Very convenient for my meeting. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy Food good Good value for money (for London!) Felt safe as a lone female visitor

    Very Very Very Hot room. Very thankful that room had a fan provided but had to use all night even with the window open. Fan and main Euston Road very noisy. Room size just adequate for one but would have been claustrophobic for a long stay or as double especially because of heat. Some aspects of decor tiredbut cleanliness made up for it.

    freindly receptionist, clean

    bed was lumpy and needs new mattress, room very small even though I had a double for single occupancy, toilet had bits peeling off as it was so old, shower was tiny and shower head did not move, this meant I had to stand outside the shower to apply shower gel, and also I was agaisnt the shower curtain while in the shower meaning the floor was soaking wet. This meant you could only enter the toilet in bare feet afterwards as the floor was flooded. the breakfast was awful, tiny helpings (single rasher of bacon, single small chipolata, one spoon of beans, I was given a sachet of instant hot chocolate with some luke warm milk, the milk wasn't hot enough for chocolate powder to dissolve, when I asked for milk to be heated I got a cross look, and I would have liked a 2nd cup but it was not worth the hassle. As I sat at the table with cereal the waitress removed the jug of milk, and I then had to ask for milk with my cereal

As long as the room is clean and comfortable, we're happy since we don't spend much time in the room anyway. That being said, this place was a dump.     The full english breakfast was okay - not great. Very greasy. Wouldn't want to eat like that everyday. Lot's of brochures in the breakfast foyer for various attractions and sight-seeing events in London.

    The room and building were very run-down. Despite the no-smoking policy, everything constantly stunk of cigarette smoke. The curtains were ripped (shredded, actually) and filthy. The paint in the room, bathroom, and everywhere else in the building is peeling everywhere. Mold all over the bathroom and windows. Carpet was old, dirty, and stunk. The hairdryer was a dangerous electrocution hazard and was partially melted from previous over-heating. We reported this to the staff who didn't seem at all motivated to fix the problem. The bathroom was the worst I've ever seen in any hotel I've stayed at for that price (80 UK Lbs per night). It was incredibly small - ordinarily wouldn't mind, but this was ridiculous! The shower was so small that you could barely lift your feet to wash them, and the disgustingly dirty shower curtain was continuously plastered against your body while you showered. Gross! I'm average height and the shower head (which could not be adjusted) was at eye level, making it even more difficult to have a decent shower. Despite our best efforts, every shower ended with the entire bathroom being flooded with water. The staff - particularly in the dining room - were not overly friendly. The french-press style coffee was lousy. Could have been all right is the cook actually put some coffee grounds in the pot instead of just enough to colour the brew a watery-brown. Despite the claim that the full english breakfast came with eggs any way you wanted, the waitress never asked. We had to explicitly tell her every morning before she quickly ran off to bring us whatever happened to be coming out of the pan at the time. Seating in the breakfast room was crowded and uncomfortable. Despite adhering to the hotel's recommendations for properly locking the door, everyday when we returned to our room, we found the door not locked properly after the cleaning staff had been through.

    Good breakfast; great staff; good service in room (clean towels, bed-making, tea service. Breakfast service was very fast and efficient, and reasonable quality of food. Rooms small, of course, but this is expected.
