    "prices in the bar high, breakfast was ok but some confusion whether it was included in the room rate when we arrived at the breakfast room entrance booked, hotel looks dated in some areas but new ares and rooms are currently underway." (107418484)

    not told in advance about building works or limited car parking. No evening meal arrangements for an early sitting other than room service.

    Relaxed, good food, fast service

    Room was in the main very nice, but the entrance hall looked as though it was not finished - exposed plasterboard etc. Also, the corners of the room had an accumulation of dust.

    The Shuttle bus to and from the NEC was fantastic. We didn't have to worry about getting taxis to and from the event.

    Staff very curtious and always ready to help

    My Priority points were not added to my food bill which I settled each day. Bath, shower, all too small,the shower curtain kept sticking to your body as you tried to shower.

    Free shuttle service from hotel to Birmingham Airport and Station. Minibar. Late check in.

    Didn't feel very secure when checking-in late. Breakfast room scruffy. Toaster filthy!

    hotel was clean,and staff helpful.

    found hotel is not the easy of places to get too,hotel entrance lounge very cold,even staff were wearing jackets serving customers,room that was allocated to me was very cold,found out later that heating was not working,and fans outside room was very loud,moved to another room next morning which was much more pleasant.

    Excellent room, very clean and comfortable.

    Receptionist was hard to understand and she was very sullen. We were able to get a shuttle bus to the NEC but this service waswn't available to pick us up. It would have been more helpful if your website made clear that it was 2 miles from the NEC, as I was under the impression it was walking distance.

    The accommodation was very comfortable, especially the bed. Breakfast was of a good standard.

    The room may have been used by smokers as there was a slightly stale smell of cigarette smoke. The shower flow was weak.

    Large room and overall very decent

    Smelled of cigarettes and the window was jammed shut for security reasons. The cigarette smell was not really the hotel's fault cause they did have a non smoking sign. However this meant theat they do not have fire alarms or at least they do not work!

    Good parking, polite and helpful staff. Room service meal was excellent.

    Only two really - Bed linen - the quilt could have been lighter. And secondly the undersheet was marked.

    Handy for the Airport, NEC and for a visit to the City of Birmingham. My room was ready for me when I arrived not having to wait until they cleaned it, I ate out at the Airport as the meals within the hotel could be expensive although I traveled on Bed and Breakfast basis, I had the breakfast the despite other reviews on this theme I can honestly found nothing wrong with the breakfast it was hot and fresh.

    Although the room has Tea and Coffee, they could have put in a complimentary small packet of Biscuits just to start you off.

    The hotel looked like a prison from the outside but once you entered through the doors it was very modern.

    Our first room had very noisy airconditioning but we were moved to another room and it was fine. The rooms are very small and you the bathroom was tiny.

    "We appreciated the fact that the hotel runs a complementary shuttle bus service to the NEC, station and airport, which saved us money on taxi fares. We found the staff to be very helpful and pleasant, making our stay most enjoyable. We would perhaps have liked the Flight Bar menu to have been more extensive and to have included more basic popular meals. We ate at the NEC as were unable to find much to our taste in the Hotel. Having said that, the breakfast in the Grill Room was excellent and the staff very efficient and obliging." (99177249)

    The cleanliness was of a high standard, and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

    There was no lift in the hotel, but I believe that is being rectified in the very near future.

    "The hotel runs a really handy shuttle bus to the NEC. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, our room was tiny and we were told it was an upgrade from a standard room so the standard rooms must be miniscule! The shuttle bus from the NEX ends at 10pm which was not that useful for the concert we went to which finished at 11pm. Breakfast was not great - sausages were over cooked. They ran out of bacon and you have to toast your own toast." (99742538)

    The room was neat and tidy,fresh towels and toiletries were provided daily.Lighting was adequate ,and tea and coffee available in the room.The bed was magnifficent .The staff were very professional and friendly ,and the taxi service recommended by the hotel was brilliant -prompt and efficient service was received. The hotel grounds was clean as a whistle and the lawn beautiful.I look forward to returning in future to this very same hotel!!!!Keep it up !!!!!!!!

    "On the whole we were very impressed with our stay especially the cleanliness and decor. The attentiveness of the dining room staff was very welcome, something not seen very often. The selection and quality of the food and wine was excellent" (99933839)

    The accommodation was very good and fitted our purpose well.

    The room would have benefited by having two chairs, also the air conditioning was very noisy, its use by other guests sounded through the ducting till early morning thus spoiling a needed good nights sleep.

    "The hotel is conveniently situated for the NEC, airport and railway station and the staff were friendly. The shuttle service was excellent. I didn't seem able to book a twin room on the internet so booked a double but changed it on check in but she didn't mention that it was a smoking room and it smelt awful. When we tried to change, their was no alternative. Also the shower curtain smelt mouldy. But the stay in the hotel all in all was fine for a base, not a luxurious stay." (99274467)

    The situation of the hotel was convenient for the station and NEC and the shuttle service was excellent. The hotel itself was satisfactory but nothing more.

    We got allocated as smoking room which really did smell horrible, as a non smoker. They didn't have any alternative. The breakfast was only warm and I would have liked a pot of tea which you normally get in hotels rather than someone coming round with it as soon as you sat down as by the time you got your main breakfast, the tea was then cold as well as the breakfast. Also, our room was opposite the cleaners office and they carried on their casual chattering from 7am in the morning with no respect for anyone sleeping.

    The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant at night was excellant. The hotel is very close to airport and train station, which was quite useful.

    I thought the rooms were tiny, not much room to move about, felt a bit uneasy with that.

    "The room was adequate for an overnight stay but certainly not large for a longer stay as we travelled with a 5 yr old. Call rates for overseas calls extremely high so consequently we made none to our other children back home. good appearance inside and efficient check in and out. Very nice staff.     "The hotel in general was excellent. The shuttle was very useful except that it did not operate from 10am till 4pm. A reduced service during this time would be helpful. The dining menus were a disappointment. Some parts of the meals were bland and expensive for what they were. I would perhaps eat out next time." (99760524)

    Very well run, very clean, room was very comfortable, staff were very helpful.

    The only critiscism was the restaurant. The dinner menus were not as good as I would have expected and not value for money.
