    Location very convenient. Food in restaurant above standard expected and good value for money. Staff very friendly and polite. Allowed dogs - huge plus point. Potential for really good hotel....

    "It would seem that the current refurbishment is only cosmetic, and whilst the hotel needs this, fundemental requirements are lacking. This is a shame as this could easily be with some thought for the needs of travellers a top rate establishment, a substantial oasis away from the city - but it seems not to be." (107584413)

    I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 20 years on buisness and pleasure trips I enjoy its quiet location and lesiure facilities. I first visted when it was a Forte Posthouse, I have previously stayed on several occassions in the executive suites on the 6th floor.

    Although the hotel is undergoing refurbishment this does not seem to include the heating! my room was constantly cold, I sought advise from reception and was advised to turn up the heating in the room, when I asked how, I was told to follow the instructions on the radiator,but they weren't any. When I explained this the lady on reception could not advise further I was told try the heater lever in different positions! The room ever only became slightly warm. There were no extra blankets in the room. I had to use the cover off the other bed. It is not possible to turn the main room lights off from the bed, something that routinely can be done in any hotel anywhere in the world. There was one single electrical power socket, other than the TV, this is totally inadequate for a business traveller. The water flow from the shower was very slow, making showering a tedious process. In the restraunt you are unable to order any decent wine by the glass, the only wine purchasable by the glass is on draft! - I sensibly declined.

    The hotel is clean and the rooms large and well kept. Rooms are being refurbished at the moment but ours were the older ones waiting refurb and were still excellent value.

    Food! Bar meals are available each day but choice is limited. On the 3rd night they brought out a new menu which reduced the choice further and took of the 3 dishes we had been living on. On the 4th night they issued an temp menu because a chef was off which reduced the choice even further. We then chose to dine in the restaurant where steaks came in at a cool £24-00

    Excellent breakfast, best I can remember in a long time.

    None really, car park needs pot holes filling in to stop hugh puddles forming. Lift doors got stuck, had to use a bit of brute force to get them open.

    Plenty of Staff who were all friendly and helpful. the breakfast was excellent. Good food and a varied choice.

    the hotel is looking a little tired. Car parking spaces were not available. We had to wait for around 15 mins for someone to leave and then had to park in a space reserved for the leisure centre.

    "took 4 rooms before one was suitable,had booked double for 2 nights,first room was 2 singles asked to be given another room, second smelled so badly of smoke returned to reception was sent to third room which had not been cleaned properly(nail clippings on floor,rubbish under bed,hairs all over bed cover)returned to reception asked for duty manager who promptly dealt with things personly and put us in one of the lovely newly refurbed rooms... so all in check in had taken us nearly 1 hour, after all this we had a super stay and would return to this hotel but request refurbed room on booking."     Prebooked breakfast in the room hanged the request outside on the door - it was not collected! I was waiting for breakfast 3/4 hour then had to ring to get room service - delayed in for over an hour in total. Room service did respond within 15 minutes

    Meal and restaurant generally were very good. Tasty food, nicely presented.Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful.

    Our room was a rather tired, and could have done with updating/redecoration. From the outside the hotel looks dated and somewhat drab as it appears to be made from concrete, which over time has become discoloured/grimy.

    "I would recommend this hotel. It is very comfortable with good sized rooms & friendly staff. Rooms facing the bridge have a fabulous view. It is very easy to find following the directions & they even have luggage trolleys. The only downside I found was the loud noise from very strong high winds when we stayed in January but we are going back in May when we fly out again on holiday." (97969394)

    "All the staff have been polite and friendly,but its great to get a ''REAL SCOTTISH BREAKFAST'' potato scones black pudding and square sausage and as much as you want from the buffet style breakfast...Excellent !!!" (97248979)

    It was great to get a room with a view towards Erskine Bridge and the River Clyde.....hope I can get a similar view when I am visting again in 2008.

    Good position,parking,views,bathroom, hot water, heating and breakfast. Comfortable beds!

    the room had a nice view and it was clean and attractive. the swimming pool was lovely as was the breakfast.

    Spacious room and the view over the river towards the Eskine Bridge was second to none

    TV reception poor. Decoration needs upgrading
