    "Shocking. If I had known the area/it had not been freshers' weekend so rooms at a premium, I would have asked for my money back and walked away. As I left my card details on your website, and paid them £35 for the room, I sincerely hope that I have not paid twice! Will check my card statement when it comes." (108120004)

    Good car park.

    Hotel shabby/dirty, particularly top floor. Window fastening broken, so window would not shut. No bulb in bedside lamp, had to ask for replacement. Room door did not lock from inside. Poor food selection at breakfast. Evening food ethnic only. Amazed at AA star rating.

    We lived to tell the tale.

    Checking in, the receptionist insisted upon cash payment for the room. This was most unprofessional. The room was in poor state of repair. There was a floating condom in the toilet that would not flush away. The curtains would not pull. The bed matress was of poor quality with every spring being felt.

    Hotel grubby, staff noisy at night (i.e. loud TV at 1am). Booked two rooms, one had broken and unuasble wardrobe, both had cracked handbasins. Staff say they jave been running hotel for 4 years but appeared to be new to the business of running a hotel

    Staff were friendly.

    Wireless internet didn't work until the last evening. Shower didn't work the second day. I had to pay upon arrival instead of paying at departure. The menus in the rooms had the wrong prices. When receiving a phone call from an external line, the staff wrongly said that my line was busy. On another occassion, they said that I wasn't at the hotel.

    the location was ideal for what we required and the price was very reasonable

    the matress was appauling, like sleeping on a bag of swords. The staff were not very polite and breakfast was an additional 30% to the cost??

    Room was a reasonable size with a generous provision of tea and coffee.

    Decor could be improved. Room looked a bit shabby.

    "I understand that the hotel is under new management, therefore the comments may allready be under review. The room, particularly the bathroom was tired, it needs some TLC and refurbishment. The staff were helpful and friendly, but the person serving the breakfast needs training as a waiter. However the beds were very comfortable, unlike most other hotels whose beds are generally too hard and not supportive enough" (99997197)

    centrally situated

    Dirty shower curtain, dirty floors, dirty bed linen, and dirty cups. TV did not work and had to be replaced. Generally a lot of rubbish on the hotel grounds.

    Place very nice. Management very friendly and helpful.

    Hotel had just come under new management, and seemed like there was only one or two people running the whole place! These two guys did a very good job between them, but had to be in about a million different places at once. For example, breakfast took ages to be served.

    "Details of how to arrive by public transport wold have been useful. The email said Heaton Chapel Station was about one and a half miles away - I would say about 3/4 of a mile myself. The hotel was fine, and value for money" (99723211)

    It is conveniently located between Stockport and Manchester on a bus route and within walking distance of Stockport, and the local station. Although it was on a main road the rooms were quiet

    The shower wasn't very hot and it cold have had rather more pressure

    "when we checked in there were three people ahead of us. The first guy stated he had phoned a while ago and asked for double room instead of a twin. So the receptionist gave him a double room. The next couple had a confirmed booking for a double room, however they were forced to have a twin instead as the hotel had just given away the last double room. When they asked for compensation, the hotel wouldn't budge, finally they were offered two free beers in the bar! At night the guests in the next door room were having a screaming match at 1a.m. I phoned reception to ask if they could do something. No answer. The room was awful, everything looked grubby, towels and linen need replacing, cups were dirty." (99514367)

    the attitude of the staff was shocking. the TV didn't work and you could only sit on the toilet at an angle as it was too close to the wall.

    Very good location wise. Easy to find the hotel from M60

    Lack of shower pressure and poor customer service. Had to wait too long to be served at some point of time.
