    99% of staff were excellent

    Delivery of room service breakfast was appalling - half an hour late with a surly attitude. Mould on bathroom ceiling. One of the lamps did not work - maybe just the globe needed replacing.

    "This 3 star Hotel was significantly under managed. They were unable to cope with 50 people in the restaurant in the whole evening and it soured the whole experience. Total staff on was 6 covering the whole hotel with totally the wrong mix of skills. The operational staff could not apologise enough but what type of Hotel manager/owner leaves them out to dry like this " (108436190)

    Staff tried hard. Check-in not a problem but the rest oh dear.

    The restaurant did not have an a la carte menu. In fact the manager had to get me to explain the difference between table d'hote and a la carte. They then gave us all Gammon covered with peppercorn sauce. The Gammon was cooked but cold and had been recycled from an earlier tour party left overs! To cap it all they had no wine list and in the bar a full menu was available. The meal took over 2 hours with significant left overs. At least the hotel manager was at home for me to complain too and took the call.

    The room was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful

    A bar meal I should have returned as they had burnt the food. The bar maid offered to take the meal back but I did not wish to wait.

    Readily accessible, superb room, first class breakfast and pleasant staff

    I felt the price a bit high for a business overnight stay, compared to prenmier inn etc, I will have to explain the additional cost in my monthly expenses return

    Clean room and comfortable bed

    Breakfast very expensive at £11.50, and I felt it was poor quality for that price. Also had a smoking room which although clean had a locked door linking to the next room and the smokers next door's smoke was coming through.

    Restuarant staff very pleasent and obliging. Room very spacious and comfortable.

    Bathroom ceiling covered in mould over bath area. Shower curtain not adequate. Extractor fan not working in bathroom. Somebody attempted to enter our room during night, luckily the door chain was on. This was reported to reception in morning also the extractor fan.

    Long wait at check in over half and hour not enough staff for amountof people checking in. couldn't get desert and coffee in evening at restaurant as didn't have our card wouln't accept cash.

    I sustained a minor injury (broken toe, NOT the hotel's fault) and the staff were outstandingly helpful in arranging for transport to A&E. Thank-you!

    Leisure centre out of order - no pool/sauna etc - this should have been flagged on the website, as it was my main reason for choosing the hotel. Food disappointing. Slow checkout.
