    Receptionist very pleasant.

    No Towels or glasses in room. Wallpaper coming off the wall. Tiles broken on bathroom floor. Fabric torn on chair in room. Tiles on ceiling in room very stained. Dining room had water staining on the ceiling and walls. Waiter in dining room very rude. told only lamb curry available before closing time. No sweets available. Double glazed windows did not shut. Filthy space on floor between glass. Curtains did not fit and torn. Evidence of lock changes on the door frame atrocious. Carpets in lift very stained.

    very clean bath, comfortable bed, not noisy environment

    could do with more milk in the room and some hotels do offer complimentary biscuits whereas this one did not

    Good position of hotel relative to City Centre. Breakfast included and this was fresh and tasty.

    Room grubby and poorly maintained. No plug in bathroom sink. No batteries in tv remote. Bin not emptied from previous guests. Lift could not be summoned from 2nd floor - wife partially disabled and had to use stairs instead.

    Staff pleasant and helpful. Hotel looks a bit run down, although Bathroom and linen very clean. Carpet was stained throughout hotel. Room carpet seemed grubby. Food was good. Light over bed not working, also loose wires which were reported but seemed to me to be dangerous. Also it did not help that as you approach hotel from rear car park there are several 'rat' traps.

    really if they could improve on the rooms facilities eg the bedding pillows and in the bathroom no flanels no shawer jel etc need updating

    Staff were friendly.

    Mattress worn out.Poor standard of furniture.Breakfast was of a very low standard.We sought breakfast elsewhere.Rear car park was filthy with litter and rubbish and a condom lying around.Night time in hotel was very rowdy.

    Good value for money, the cooked breakfast was really good

    Strong smell of moth balls in bedroom and corridor near room - very off putting and use of air freshners did not eradicate the smell altogether

    "I have said no to this hotel again due to the fact that it was too far out where we wanted to go we spent loads of money on taxis if we spent extra money near by we would have saved some money on the transport side. The staff were very nice." (107702892)

    The staff was very nice and helpful.

    We did have trouble with the sink in bathroom and we did report it but nothing was done about it but it wasn't an emergency problem it was something that we could live with

    "I dont expect much for £35, but I expect cleanliness and a bed that is fit for its purpose. This hotel was too bad to be true. Had I not paid on arrival ( wonder why you do that!!) I would have refused to pay. I am thinking of referring you to health and saftey officers in Birmingham. You should refund my £35 to the card please. Room was in the name of Paul Robbins.     bed was unbearably uncomfortable, all springs. Cold water tap in shower broken, hot water too hot to use on its own. Decaying windows with mould. Smelly toilets next to breakfast room.

    "It seemed nice, but the blood in the lift really put me off the hotel, and although the hotel smelt clean when you see blood like that, you realise the nice smell is just to make you think it is cleaned right, when it hasn't been. I cannot fault the staff though, efficient and friendly." (107312135)

    Smelt clean, and staff were really helpful and friendly

    Blood on the glass in the lift, broken floor in the bathroom, toilet handle came out everytime you flushed.

    The food was at a very good standard both evening and breakfast, The staff were friendly and helpful

    There was masking tape holding the wall paper on ,it took a long time for the hot water to heat and the central heating was not working at all. The choice of menu was limited to indian or grill chicken.

    The cleaners are very helpful and do their job well

    No heating and no repair work done on complaint. Had to buy Dettol and Bleach to attack a smell from the drains. Cracked toilet seat and no bath plug. On Monday morning customers had to search for Staff in the Dining Room.

    Resturrant should star open longer than 9pm especially when arriving late to book in and feeling hungry, also breakfast could start 8-10am instead of 7-9am

    very good value for money, good location for city centre and road links,helpful friendly staff, good breakfast ( only stayed b & b) ample free,safe parking.

    noisy on a saturday night but this is to be expected in a city hotel at weekends at this price (sunday and monday night very peaceful)

    Reasonably priced Good breakfast

    single room was located next to squeaking fire door so sleep was disturbed. double room was cramped, with poor decor, shower rail on the floor and failed light bulb in bathroom. Very noisy water tank seemed to be filling most of the night + unidentified background hum, so sleep was disturbed.

    shabby, dirty lift, bathroom needs resealing or major clean, loud music from a party in the hotel meant I couldn't sleep until the early hours, thin pillows.

    Staff helpful and responsive to requests.

    Evacuation of breakfast room due to sagging ceiling was unavoidable, but a pity I was then overlooked and left without breakfast for over 30 minutes, making me late for my conference meeting.

    Helpful staff in restaurant

    Not enough vegetarian choice on menu. Double room only had one towel and there was no plug in basin or hot water in evenings.Room was very cold, the windows were filthy, mouldy and did not close properly so it was very noisy both outside and from the room next door. Wallpaper was taped back up. Toilet did not flush properly and there was no toilet roll holder. There was no satellite tv in rooms as described when booking and picture quality on tv was poor. There was already hairs on the pillow in single room.

    Friendly and polite staff. Clean and fresh feel to facilities. The room was clean and comfortable.

    Food available on menu was not to my taste, as it was too spicey, so had to eat out.
