    Very clean comfortable small hotel ...perfect location for tube station and bus sevices...........and very good breakfast...........hope to stay there very soon

    "1 min walk from golders green, 20 min to city center by tube, clean, tidy hotel plus friendly and helpfull staff... there was no problem to check in sooner than oficial times anounced as well as it was no problem with early check out." (108639552)

    Small cosy and friendly hotel in good location with great access to tube, national express to stansted airport, busses etc. Staff was realy friendly and helpful... great value for money for short term stay

    Shared bathroom for 3 rooms... however was realy clean and well taken care of this facility

    Fantastic location and the 2 Spanish staf were lovely, friendly and helpful. Room small but comfortable and clean

    Pillows and bed uncomfortable and really need replacing. Also asking for a weeks money when you check in after a 19 hour flight was a bit cheeky

    Free wireless internet,fan provided in room,free parking.Close to the Tube & a good selection of restaurants

    Slightly noisy,but it's in a city so to be expected.

    "I enjoyed it and for the one night it was a good expereince. The staff were friendly and the rooms were very clean if not a little on the small side but thats what you get for a B&B i guess. " (108327946)

    The hotel was very clean and the staff are very friendly! Nice and close to our training venue.

    The only thing bad about it was the price for the room size. I felt the £72 for one night stay was pretty steep considering for and extra £20 we could have gone to a 4star hotel. The bathroom was too tiny also.

    "There are many restaurants and cafes near the hotel.It is quiet at night. The access to central London is easy. I'd stay again when I visit London next time." (107688790)

    En-suite single rooms we stayed differed in size, but overall they had good facilities of showers and toilets. Breakfasts were all right.

    We would've appreciated some more help on visiting places nearby such as Kenwood House or Fenton House {e.g. which bus to take from the station, and how long it'll take amd some tips which you can only get locally).

    "Apart from the noise in the morning, everything was fine. The parking had to be reserved in advance and all we were told on the internet was that it could not be guaranteed, which was no use to us as we needed to know before arriving with a car. I had to phone the B&B to check that we had been allocated a space." (107190042)

    Room was large and comfortable. We had free onsite parking. Staff were pleasant. Breakfast was adequate.

    Our room was downstairs near the breakfast room and from 6.50am there was a lot of noise - doors slamming and people calling to each other. We were woken by the noise and it was impossible to sleep again.

    "Although it was only 1 night I had a relaxing afternoon, a restful night & a pleasant breakfast experience in the morning. I work in the hotel business myself (albeit a slightly larger facility)& understand the problems that can arise. I'm pleased to say there were none at the Anchor House." (107935057)

    The young antipodean couple that ran the hotel were simply wonderful. Excellent TV in the room. Nice clean, comfortable & cosy room.

    A warm welcome and accommodating staff. Room was warm and clean and perfectly adequate.

    The hotel is a bit run down, and there is no cooked breakfast.

    Clean and tidy. Staff very pleasent and helpful . Breakfast good enough to start the days travel.

    Parts of the hotel was worn and old needed replacing (ie bath chipped etc). Cold room (but it was winter) Exspensive considering we had to share a bathroom with other guest,s. no information of where to eat locally .

    the hotel was clean and the staff were friendley

    the room didnt have ensuite and when i did take a shower it wasnt pleasant as the shower head was attached to the bath and you couldnt stand as the roof slopped.and it didnt stste that in the net.the tv channels werent tunned in either

    Excellent staff - friendly and always avaliable. Close to great transport links and a range of local shops, restaurants, etc. Good price for such a great location. Hampstead Heath, etc a short journey away.

    The decor needs updating. Rooms overlooking the back are noisy early in the mornings (7am onwards) due to supermarket loading bay.

    The staff were very nice and helpful.

    The hotel itself was not a bit like the picture on web site. It was very run down and the carpet was very stained. It was very basic. Outside was awful. The room was clean and very basic. The bathroom only had a hand shower in the bath.

    "it is not a luxury place but if you want to stay somewhere relatively cheap in London it is good, also it is very close to the tube station and the area felt safe to me. breakfast was a little bit boring but then again, they say on their internet side it is only "continental" breakfast" (108029650)

    Excellent location,very friendly and helpful staff,fantastic value for a resonable bed and breakfast,literally 8 minutes from the M1 motorway.Plan ahead and you can even park the car.Fantastic!

    general decoration of rooms are just a little tired,but nothing that a fresh lick of paint and new curtains wouldnt sort out.

    Lovely staff; easy reserved parking; good choice of nearby restaurants; good value spacious family room; nice breakfast buffet. Very accommodating and welcoming.

    There was limited hot water on one of the mornings - but I got up quite late.

    "We were thankful for the location of anchor house, near public transportation but especially because we were visiting family who lived nearby. If we hadn't had alternative facilities (for laundry and bathing) at another house up the road, we probably would have been a bit stresed out and cold since the shower was so tiny and the bathroom so damp and the heating never on."     Anchor House has some charm and is operated by friendly staff

    The damp bathroom and infrequent laundry (especially drying of towels).
