    Convenient, friendly, convivial, unhurried.

    The beds and pillows were uncomfortable should be upgraded but bed linen and towels excellent.

    The hotel was nice, food was lovely, well cooked and presented.The staff were very friendly & helpful.

    The bathroom was small & the ceiling was low. There was also ledge that jutted out over the wall side of the bath. As I'm only 4 feet 10 inches feet tall this was not too inconvenient for me, but not my husband as he's 5 feet 10 inches, and as a consequence he had to lean sideways to use the over-bath shower and got a crick in his neck in the process!!!

    An absolutely outstanding hotel, the owners were very welcoming especially to shooters offering the facility of a gun safe. The food was first class both the evening meal and the breakfast. The bar has a great atmosphere and we spent a wonderful evening by the fire with the locals. The hotel is in a great location with good secure parking facilities. The ensuite room was comfortable and clean with cable television, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. We will definitely return to this hotel and wished we could have stayed more than one night. Excellent value for money.

    "Disappointed about the hair in the butter at breakfast which slightly spoiled an otherwise faultless stay. However, staff did apologise and replace the offending item immediately." (107883038)

    Nice spacious room. Quiet and well away from bar. Good quality breakfast.

    The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was wonderful. We arrived late but were still welcomed and fed!The room was very well equiped and comfortable. The restaurant and bar area were full of atmosphere and nicely decorated.

    The bathroom could have been a little cleaner in the corners but then i am probably overly fussy having been a cleaner in the past! There was no telephone number to ring to discuss a meal deal option mentioned on your site.

    Excellent food, friendly staff, spacious airy room with comfortable bed. Clean pleasant country village inn style hotel.

    Car park remote from hotel, not secure. Noted kids playing there when we first arrived.

    "This was a convenient place to stay in Somerset and we liked the area and friendly people. Perhaps the hotel management should think about the overall appearance by having a more welcome atmosphere with table lighting (candle-style)and glasses at place settings which when combined change the whole aspect to the visitor."     Bedroom was very well appointed with modern items such as kettle, iron & board, nice television, hair drier and very efficient shower. Extremely comfortable bed. Super English breakfast.

    The bar was not our style and the smokers always congregated at the doorway making access from the street difficult. The furniture in the dining room was varied but no effort had been made to put the same style of chairs together at the table. On our first evening the dining room was in darkness and no tables were laid, giving an unwelcoming feel, and we therefore went elsewhere, although we might have liked to eat in the hotel if the atmosphere had been more welcoming, as the menu looked good.

    Almost everything: 1. Friendly & helpful staff 2. Surprisingly big room & very clean 3. Tasty & filling breakfast 4. Great pub and lovely restaurant

    Small things: 1. Entry to back door (after a late night) was a hassle. 2. For those who like to have a bath, the room only had a shower. (I prefer shower, so this isn't really a dislike for me).

Good B&B with a clean modern room and excellent service. On my first stay I left without my invoice and its details that I need for my Charities expense claim form.
